Troy's is solid and fairly priced. I've done everything from the standard oil change to brake work getting done. My 4 Runner has over $150k in miles. Things I've thought were bad, he says they are fine. When something needed to be done that he couldn't handle(axle repack), he referred me to a reputable shop. Let's what else: - Gas is fairly priced. - They have non-oxy gas. - He lets the fine people of el Rancherito park and serve up food. - Free air. - Other vendors occasionally selling stuff (Scandanavian Cakes???) - Activities for kids around Halloween & Christmas. Moved to MSP from out of state, needed brakes and got a quote of about $1100; then went to Troy and got a quote of about $700! Duh! Got free water while waiting and enjoyed his quaintly decorated waiting area with nostalgia items. Loved his wife's seasonal exterior scenes and Troy's collection of old pickups. Where else does one get to have grandkids mingle with live reindeer at Xmas time. All my work is now done there and gas prices are only beat by Costco. read more

About 15 months ago I needed new tires and got a quote from a couple different places that seemed high. So, after passing this place thousands of times I decided to head in and get a third quote from them. Troy was super helpful and had an option that was a full $200 cheaper than the other two quotes I received. My car has hard to find specialty tires which are pricier than other cars I've owned and so this was greatly appreciated! Then, about 2 months ago I went back again. I had forgotten to rotate properly and so the front two were REALLY worn out while the back two were largely just fine. I drive a ton of miles and so this made sense. Troy recommended two new ones but told me the back ones were just fine. When he looked up the same tires the price had increased as prices are going up on everything. He told me he would give me the tires for what I had bought them for one year previous! You shamefully don't find many reputable places like this for your car anymore. Highly recommended! read more

Honest and Trustworthy! Dealership told me I needed new brake pads. Went to Dave's to get it replaced since they were local and have really good reviews. They inspected them before completing the job and told me it was not needed. Got my trust and future business. Didn't even charge me and should get at least another year out of the pads. We originally brought our car into Village Auto on Fairview just North of County road C, last fall and they quoted us about $1200 to get our car back in good working condition. We had a catalytic converter and a flex issue on our muffler. We decided that it was too expensive for us at the moment, and that we'd to hold off for awhile. Fast forward to a week ago, we brought it to Dave's in Roseville. After giving us a free inspection, they told me it would be $670 for them to fix it because they would have to replace the catalytic converter and the flex pipe. They told me that I should try the Wonderful Muffler Man on Rice street, as they do repairs on mufflers and can fix it for much cheaper than they could. I thanked them for their help and brought the car to the Wonderful Muffler Man, who quoted and fixed it same day for $175! I have to say that we were extremely happy with the honesty and integrity of both Dave's in Roseville, and The Wonderful Muffler Man on Rice Street, and would highly recommend either one for your auto repairs. I know that I will be a return customer any time we have vehicle problems. read more

This place was so helpful! My car wouldn't start, and I knew it wasn't a dead battery. After doing some research, I figured out that the problem was with my starter. I called Dave's, and they sent a tow truck within ten minutes. They towed it to the shop and fixed it within a day. Instead of completely replacing the starter, they cleaned it off and it was good as new. This saved me about $150! Great company! read more

I really love this place. The people are friendly and honest. I was told by another shop that I needed to have at least $800 dollars of work done on my car. I took my car to Dave's for a second opinion (because a number of friends told me about their excellent service), and it turned out that I only needed about a fraction of the work done!
