Went with my son, played pool for 90 minutes, drank a couple of beers, went to pay, and they charged me for 3 hours (I set timer on phone when I got there) That along with the handwritten bill in chicken scratch so you can barely understand, the mandatory 18% gratuity fee = sketchy. Only reason I even checked the bill (because I'm usually careless and pay whatever) was because a family scrutinized the bill when we first got there and made a claim of being overcharged. Crooks. I bet the waitresses don't even get 10% of the tip. read more

I went here for a birthday party around noon, and it was interesting being around all these pool tables and ping pong tables. The stuff is not brand new but still usable. There's even an arcade and small place to play foosball and other kid themed games. The other review about flying ping pongs is true, so if you are surrounded by beginners, it's bound to happen. They are sketchy and deceptive. They hand you a hand written "check" and sneak in an 18% service charge with no mention of it. Then if you pay with credit card they give you a printed check that just says the "Total" and ask for a tip once again. I didn't catch it until the next day when I looked up reviews for this place and noticed other people complained about the same thing. I have no problem tipping 20%. Not 40% because nobody mentions the service charge. Deceptive, and when you call to try to correct it they are dismissive. I'll never be returning. Avoid this place as they're super sketchy. beware of higher pool price for just 1 HOUR - It was a total of $74 with just 3 people (Just to play pool). I'm basically never in Queens, so I stopped by here after a Mets game with a group of about 10. The place itself is spacious. It has at least 15 pool tables, probably more! I don't play pool but my friends were enjoying playing. We ordered food and drinks. Prices are very reasonable. I had a white claw. I can't go wrong with that. My boyfriend had a casamigos passion fruit margarita. He enjoyed it. For food, we had plain wings with fries. It was good. The fries were nice and crispy. The service was excellent. A nice lady with short blonde hair was taking care of us. She was super attentive and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this place if you're into billiards and want to grab some bar food and drinks. The prices are also very reasonable. We paid $240 and tip included for all the food and drinks we ordered. I'm not sure how much the games were, but I don't think it was too expensive at all. read more

I've been here perhaps 20 times over the years for various pool events. It's okay, not great. But that aside the food and drinks are crazy overpriced. Don't quite understand it. I got chicken fingers for $11 and it came with 3 small chicken fingers cut in half lengthwise to make it look like 6 fingers. And the beer? We ordered 4 pints and this was how it was served - almost as if the bartender was carefully trained to stop pouring a full inch from the top of the glass. Found this place from a Google search and came with a friend for an hour or so to play pool. We got a table easily and just got charged per hour. The ping-pong tables were all occupied so we didn't play that but we had a good time playing pool. We didn't purchase any food or drinks, we just brought our own water. This place has some ping pong tables, but they are a bit run down and bent towards the center. The nets are also a bit run down and without tension. The area for ping pong is kinda small. It's like 4-5 tables congregated next to each other with little space in between. You might get bothered by other table's loose balls. This place also has lots of billiard tables. They seem fine and better kept compared to the ping pong tables. This place also offers arcade games, bar, seating area, kitchen, and there are some tv screens around the room that might be showing some video clips. Free parking is offered to its customers. One star for the day manager who was really nice. One star for the server who was very attentive and nice. The night manager (at least on this night) who was mentioned in other reviews - bald dude with beard/mustache is a d-bag. Here was the problem... BQE "claims" 7 dollar draft and 6 dollar bottle beer. What they leave out is that they charge sales tax (and mandatory tip) on all of it. Your 7 dollar beer is more like 8 dollars and your 6 dollar bottle is more like 7 dollars. I told the night manager that no place with a bar that I've seen charges sales tax on top of the quoted price per drink (unless you get food, which I didn't). With that he got LOUD and said if I didn't like it then don't come back. I asked him why he was getting loud when I was being calm - he got LOUDER - "I told you how it is, that should be enough! Don't like it, don't come back." He ran my credit card through without even getting my signature, WTF? I suspect that manager is related to the owner as he would not be able to get any real job on his own merits. Moral of the story - your drinks are being taxed and tips are being added no matter what, be aware. Sub-moral - a lousy manager can destroy what could be a cool spot and this one managed to do it in classless fashion. read more

Due to COVID-19 This place is OPEN Mon-Sun 11:00am-11:00pm. They have someone at the front who takes your temperature and make you fill out a form for COVID-19 safety! If you are planning to go on weekends be prepared to wait, they give you a (ticket number) if is the case, but understand people is tired to be at home so the waiting time can turn on 1 hour! The games prices were reasonable: Pool is $7 dollars per person/per hour Air hockey, ping pong and foosball is $14 dollars per hour. For Ping Pong they charge you $4 dollars for any additional person (more than 2) -The Bar is open but you not allowed to sitting on the counter! -You are allowed to eat inside (they got Booths in the pool halls and tables in the balcony next to the kitchen) Also the Kitchen is Open and the servers are friendly. Once the rest of our party arrived we were able to get our table to play pool. During game time we got got a few more buckets with drinking comes eating ended up getting two orders of the Chicken wings BBQ & regular both come with fries. BBQ wings were better tasting , regular were ok wings were ok overall but pretty small in size comes with fries which were good, Also comes w carrots & celery not bad. As for the place itself it's a nice size bar upfront with a little bit of everything to help keep u busy for a few pool tables along with some more games. Wow. I have not been since end of December but wow has the service changed. Horrible service now. The waitresses will give you attitude and be nasty while taking your order, even the cook(I asked him for water and he asked me bottle or glass. Then he basically rolled his eyes at me for asking glass with ice. ) ...The waitresses too. They'll stand there talking to each other in Spanish and stare at you and give you nasty looks. It made my stay so uncomfortable and I felt so Unwelcomed. What happened to this place? First time I came was in Nov of 2015. I feel like it's gone downhill after they raised their prices! On my travels of pool halls and league play this place really can rack em up. The room is quite large and plenty of pool tables. The sign in front before you step down stairs say pool players only! So no riff raff or wandering onlookers. The table service was quite fine as they have a full bar, pretty big menu of fast food which is ok being there is no outside food allowed. The table I played on was in excellent condition almost new cloth and really fast. Plenty of big screen TVs to watch Sunday NFL football while you wait for match play. The music was awful unless your into heavy metal and etc, when a decent song came on they changed it. The food was overpriced for the quantity they gave for ex $18 for grilled chicken salad? 1/2 piece of chicken thrown on romaine lettuce. They did play the yankee game so that was good the waitress was nice. Upon leaving they broke down the receipt - pool and time is charged and taxed- then food is charged and taxed- then tip was automatically added. So I definitely feel ripped off. Careful coming here. I'm surprised that this business only earned itself 3 stars by Yelpers. C'mon people! Lighten up! I just came here for the first time today (Friday night around 10-ish) to play some pool and was pretty pleased with the service, pricing and quality of the tables, sticks and all that good stuff. They also have ping pong for anybody who's a fan, drinks, food, great music (American and Spanish) with music videos playing on multiple screens. I ordered a cappuccino (yes at 10pm) because I was exhausted from work, and shockingly, it was pretty good. The staff also came by multiple times to check up on us, which I appreciated. The best part really, is the price. $5 a person per hour with cheap drinks ... where else can you find a deal like that nowadays? I lost most of the games but still had an amazing time - sipping my drink and listening to diverse music while playing a "sport" I love but suck at, all without having to break the bank. A simple question about the wait time is enough to trigger an incredibly rude response each time. This man just ain't right.
