Ran into this little gem as I was running errands in queens. The first thing I noticed was the vibe. They had nothing but the best '90s R&B playing the whole time, and honestly, the playlist alone had me singing along while cracking lobster claws! The staff was super friendly. Everyone seemed happy and engaging with the locals/regulars that err coming in; which made the experience even better. The seafood was flavorful and came out hot. The only thing I'd do differently next time is order the shrimp with the heads already off. I thought I'd be up for the full experience, but it ended up being more work than I wanted while trying to enjoy my meal. My only real complaint was the red Solo cups. It felt a little out of place for dining in and took away from the experience a bit. A regular glass would've made it feel a little more polished. Other than that, I had a great time. The place is laid back and the food is very good. It takes sometime to come out but it comes out hot and cooked perfectly. The salmon was very good. It had a nice crust on top and was soft when chewing. It tasted very good. The shrimp in a bag was also very good. The sauce it came in was mild bit had goid heat and very flavourful. I appreciated that the shrimp was not overcooked or bitter. It was sweet and fresh. Staff was nice but they could be a little more attentive and check in a little more. I quite enjoyed my meal here. I was craving crab legs and this was one that popped up in Queens. They have a crab and shrimp combo for $55. The crab meat comes out so effortlessly. I got it in the flavor garlic butter with old bay. There were about 2 crab clusters and so many shrimp. I was able to get the shrimp headless but I also with the skin was removed. It was annoying having to peel it off for every piece. In addition to the seafood, it came with a corn piece and some potatoes but I also added garlic noodles. The meal was delicious overall and tasty. I got regular cocktails- a cosmo and passion fruit margarita. The cosmo was a decent size and boozy. I was surprised to see how empty the place was for dine-in but that just made my takeout order available faster. Would come back for dine-in, the store was dimly lit with warm reddish orange light and it looked like the perfect ambiance for a nice boil dinner with parties of 4. For takeout experience, the boils were contained in big and clear plastic bags, held securely with the aluminum foil container bases. It was securely packed so that the sauces didn't drip. I ordered the combo of lobster/shrimp with a mild oceanic boil sauce, 1 lb of shrimp with garlic butter, onion rings, and fries. The boil came with corn and potatoes. The onion rings came with a small container of bbq sauce. The fries came with spicy mayo. In comparison of the sauces, the oceanic boil sauce was flavorful compared to the garlic butter. The garlic butter is aromatic but lacked the flavor punches you get from the oceanic boil sauce. Highly recommend the oceanic boil sauce if you're looking for a signature sauce experience. read more

The best I've had in NYC area! Got a pound of crawfish with their oceanic boil sauce and the spicy level isnt too intense. We got the Oceanic Boil ($107) to try a bit of everything, and we killed it among our group of 3. There were different spice levels, and you can also choose your own sauce. We were going to pick, but they recommended the Ocean Boil sauce, which was said to be a mix of everything. Perfect! As for the food, we ordered our boil mild with garlic butter and lemon pepper. It smelled and tasted amazing -- it was garlicky, savory, with a little tartness from the lemon to cut the butter, and had the mildest heat at the end. It was perfect. The Oceanic Boil is a generous amount of food (and it comes with potatoes and corn). The garlic noodles were perfect sharing size -- dunk it in the boil sauce or inside the lobster head, it'll sop up all that umami goodness. The sausages were tasty and had a nice heat in them. You're provided with all the tools you need to crack open your crab legs and lobster and your table has a trash bucket to discard your shells which staff replaces periodically. I'd recommend using the gloves and bib/apron they lay out because it gets very messy. Staff was incredibly nice and sang happy birthday to my boyfriend with a coffee flan (which was something neither of us had tried before but it was SO good!!). My friends and I visited Oceanic Boil on a Thursday night. We were quickly seated and the service was rather fast. We ordered a variation of seafood, that came extremely fresh and was served piping hot. The sauce was extremely well seasoned and everything was delicious. The seafood did feel a bit overcooked since it was a bit tougher to chew but really good nonetheless. I really enjoy dipping my rice into the sauce and eating it that way. We also made it just in time for Happy hour, and the drinks that came with it, had just the right amount of liquor and was also really good especially coming from someone who typically does not enjoy alcoholic drinks. Do you love carbs...but also seasoning? Do you like having your pick of cheap fruity little drinks? Look no further than Oceanic Boil! I'll admit, I thought this was gonna be a "sad kid's meal" type of evening, but between the starters, apps, and drinks, I left Oceanic Boil completely stuffed. The garlic bread was probably my favorite item on the menu. Remember the garlic bread your mom used to make for you at home as a kid with white bread, butter and garlic powder? Picture that but elevated with tons of butter and real garlic. The french fries came out piping hot and were crispy on the outside, but soft and pillowy on the inside. The seasoning on the fries was simple but tasty, I think so the dipping sauce stayed the star of the show and didn't get too salty. Garlic noodles were incredibly creamy and saucy even after they'd been sitting out for a while, with a strong garlic flavor and well cooked noodles. Mac and cheese also came out very hot, gooey, and saucy. It's a mark of good mac and cheese when it doesn't congeal so quickly, but rather this dish stayed creamy for a long time. Definitely had multiple types of cheese in it too, which is a great technique to get good flavor and texture. The Mai Tai was slightly coconut-y with a sweet fruity taste. You could taste the alcohol, but not so much that it tasted bad. Whatever sweet/fruit flavors were used, they were also not so artificial that the drink was sickly sweet or tasted like cough syrup. That shouldn't seem like a high bar to meet but sometimes (especially for a $9 drink) it is! My partner got a virgin piña colada and also thought it was tasty! The staff also provided fast and friendly customer service, bringing the food out quickly and checking in regularly to see how the meal was or if we needed anything else. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and bibs and gloves were provided so no one eating seafood made a mess of themselves. I came here recently on a date, and it was so good. I walked in to discover no wait for a line. There was outdoor seating, but at 96 degrees, I saw no one outside enjoying this set up. I found the service was attentive. I walked in with hubby, and I said that I wanted the fried shrimp basket. It came with a gigantic portion of fries (no complaints there!). Found this place on yelp and decided to eat here for my pre birthday celebration. A friend of mine wanted seafood so here we are. With that being said, this place was on point. The flavors were excellent and the food was great. I had a started of chicken wings and Cajun fries that was very well prepared and seasoned. My main course was snow crabs, and let me tell you, I was floored. The crabs were cooked well and seasoned the just. Each crab had enough meat in it to fill my taste buds. After a year of lockdown and home confinement my family and I decided that once we all received our COVID shots we would go to one of our most favorite places for delicious cajun seafood. Everyone voted to visit our friends at Oceanic Boil in Jackson Hts. On a stormy, rain drenched day we didn't hesitate driving through gridlock and pools of water on the Cross Island Pkwy to get to one of our favorite places for seafood. Upon arriving we quickly ordered 2 dozen oysters, a basket of fried shrimp and a basket of fried calamari. The oyster were so fresh and sweet and the fried shrimp and calamari was cooked to perfection. After a round of beers we then ordered what we had been dreaming of for months the sweet and succulent snow crab legs and shrimp boils. We ordered one with mild garlic and lemon pepper sauce and one with spicy garlic and Old Bay seasoning. When all was said and done we were very happy and satisfied whilst in a food coma.
