I needed to replace the muffler and exhaust pipe on my Ram because the aftermarket muffler I put on 14 years ago had started to fall apart. Richard got the job done, including the intricate reshaping of tailpipe so that it was perfectly centered in the cut-out on truck's trim... and all at a very fair price! Was having a terrible time connecting the trailer lights to the car. I tried everything to figure out why I was having weird stuff happening with the car and trailer lights. Finally gave up and the trailer places were booked up forever and one suggested I check with "Brace Muffler and Welding" and it was pretty clear that I should have taken it to them right away instead of losing vacation days trying to figure it out. I picked it up the next day, charged a reasonable charge and these guys earned my respect for fairness and competency which is becoming increasingly challenging to get these days. I searched the internet for hours and called over 15 exhaust shops before deciding to take my new car to Brace Muffler. Out of all the shops I spoke with and emailed, Richard at Brace Muffler was the only person who was able to give me an estimate over the phone and he was the only person that took the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions. After reading all of Brace Mufflers outstanding reviews and speaking with one of their long-time customers who was very pleased with their work, I decided to make an appointment even though their shop was about an hour drive away from me. On the day of the appointment Richard and his father, Dick, took the time to talk to me about what I wanted done and addressed all of my concerns. They also had numerous customers stop by to get work done, which tells me they have a good reputation for quality work in their town. I watched Richard weld mufflers into my new exhaust system and later install the exhaust on my car. He took his time to do the work and I could tell he was more concerned with quality workmanship than just rushing the job to get paid. Overall I had a great experience using Brace Muffler and couldn't be happier with the quality of their work, and their pricing, which was considerably lower than any other muffler shop I contacted. I needed a hitch receiver added to my 2017 wheelchair accessible Honda mini van and three other places said it couldn't be done. I stopped by a Brace Welding a few weeks ago and the owner, Richard, looked it over and said it should be no problem. He estimated it would cost between $500-600. When I had it done yesterday, not only did he do a terrific job, it was far less expensive than the estimate. Very happy with this place and will be recommending it to others. read more

This is my new go-to muffler shop. It was an hour drive to get some work done here, but it was more than worth it! I had called around to a lot of places before I decided to come here, but everyone I called was either very rude or way too much money. I finally called these guys up and they were very nice and had great prices. So I made the drive all the way to Auburn from where I live in Marysville. Originally I had been scheduled to just stop by to have a quote given, but they were able to fit me in to have the actual work completed (on a moderately busy day). The gentleman who helped me (Richard was his name, if I remember correctly) was very nice and helped me decide what exactly I needed done and what wasn't necessary at that time. He never tried to up sell me or tell me I needed work done that wasn't necessary. I had my muffler re-hung and a new tailpipe added. He even fixed something that oddly enough broke on the drive there. The manifold stud had gotten loose and just fell out, ironically just about two miles away from their shop. Overall I had a great experience here at Brace Mufflers & Welding. The people who worked here were kind, the workmanship is fantastic, and the prices beat everyone I had previously called. The only negative thing I can think of would be that the waiting room was pretty small, but that is to be expected at an older business like this. I work on and own classic cars and I will definitely be bringing them here to have exhaust work done from now on. I highly recommend these guys to anyone needing their exhaust system worked on. read more
