It wasn't the lowest but it was the most complete. He spent more time talking with and understanding our wants than anyone else. So basically everyone else's quote was incomplete. Talked to them ten days ago. They were off last week. I described exactly what the situation was…read more(leaves, algae, last service burned out the pump then dropped me when I refused to pay them $2400 to install a new one, and refused to help me when I found another way). I hid no detail. Well, he came today. First thing was, he didn't know if he could get his equipment into my back yard (never had a problem with anyone else about that). Next, like it was a big freaking surprise, he said the pool was green. (No kidding, Sherlock.) Then he says the pump isn't sufficient for my pool (but gee it worked fine--same model--for three years). Turned around and left. Refused to consider a one time cleaning so I could maintain it myself. Not sure what their issue is, but I have maintained my pools in the past. It is not rocket science. I cannot now because I am almost 70 and disabled. They wasted my time because they knew the situation, came out, saw, and announced they would not help me. So unless your pool is basically perfect and you really don't need much help, maybe keep looking.
