This place is right up the street from where we live, so I have been wanting to check it out for a while. Has great Yelp reviews and a good recommendation from our neighbor, so I finally decided to stop by. The service was quick, friendly staff & really good food. My husband and I both got a cheesesteak then shared an order of fries and boneless wings. I had to bring half my sandwich home as it was really filling. A lot of meat & the roll itself was great. Great cheesesteak South Philly Cheesesteaks now has a restaurant in Sarasota which I still want to try, but today I was up in Bradenton with an opportunity to grab a late lunch. Unlike my previous review, I arrived at such an off time there were only a couple of other customers. They offer table service for dining in, which is what I did. My server was right over, and I was ready. I love cheesesteaks and did spend some time in Philly, and ordered a Philly Cheesesteak Wiz Wit. I also agreed to the hot peppers. The sandwich was ready in a quick 4 minutes. The sandwich was great. It was made with bread from the Amoroso Bakery, and like I described in my previous review, a filling that was so finely made that it was more a smooth mushy consistency than a textured shaved ribeye. Not something I remember having in Philly, but a great flavorful sandwich nonetheless. It did dawn on me the Wiz part of my order didn't seem like Cheese Wiz. I checked the menu and there were no cheese choices, just lists White American. I learned they don't have Cheese Wiz at this location, a lack of demand, but they do have it at other locations. I look forward to trying my Wiz Wit line at their Sarasota place. read more

Talk about getting a delicious Philly cheesesteak without having to fly to Philadelphia! Their garlic bomb fries are a must as an appetizer especially if you're with somebody because they're big enough to share for more than two people! Really yummy, I loved the cheesesteak with everything on it 8in was enough to fill me up! They come with a side of chips, which I can't ever have since I'm usually full but end up enjoying them later, my boyfriend loved the chicken cheesesteak. Truly worth it and delicious. The establishment isn't too big but usually people are in and out so you won't have to wait too long to get seated. There's a few tables outside if it's a nice day. I have also called ahead and picked up and order, very quick usually 10mins. They have one restroom for me and woman.. plenty of parking. They accept all major cc's and cash. As the menu offered, among other items, a Rueben done Philly-style, I stopped in to give it a try. Small place, packed with tables and chairs, no booths. Busy at lunch, I was lucky to find a single seat. Coke products were offered, but on a sugar-free diet, the best I could get was Diet Coke. Most folks like me would be okay with that. I would have preferred Coke Zero, but I would have to buy it by the can. Not my preference. A quick glance at the menu verified the Rueben's presence, so I asked for it. I was denied the choice. The waitress told me it hadn't been available since St Patrick's Day, when the price of corned beef shot way up. No telling if or when the sandwich would return. Surprising the sandwich still appears on the menu! I switched to Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak and the accompanying bag of chips. Fries would have been an extra $4.00. This was beginning to sound like a weak lunch choice. The chicken was thoroughly shredded and soaked in a moderate sauce. Not hot enough for me, but I suppose it would have been fine for spice-sensitive diners. At least the sandwich was well stuffed and the restaurant was ready with a stainless-steel fork without asking. Lots of hoagie choices on the menu, but no assurance what's available. I'm not convinced I'll be returning any time soon. Still, not a total waste. read more

My favorite is buffalo chicken cheesesteak. My family loves everything here...the Garlic Bomb, the Reuben, everyt is made with pride. Love to see a small business doing such great business. Grabbed a quick lunch today from South Philly. This spot has been around forever and they do a good deal of lunch business. I went with the small garlic bomb cheesesteak. Garlic bread steamed roll, ribeye, onions, hot peppers, white American, fresh garlic, and parmesan. The sandwich was solid. It was slightly under seasoned, but otherwise had great flavor. I will definitely stop by again to try some of their other offerings. read more

With our 1.5 & 2.5yr olds we called in our order ahead of time because it was 45 minutes before the restaurant was to close. Having been in the service industry, we thought it better to order before our arrival as a courtesy to the restaurant crew. When we arrived 15 min later we planned to sit outside & we're setting ourselves up. However, the woman at the service counter rudely informed my son-in-law as she dramatically shoved a handful of ketchup in our bag, that when you order carry out then you leave with your food & that we were not welcomed to sit outside. We then packed our hungry children (now crying) back into the car for another 20 min ride home. We were excited to eat here and were shocked at how we were treated but we did our best to enjoy our soggy food. It's unfortunate that I felt a need to write this negative review. We realize that not all patrons are courteous & might've left a mess or avoid leaving a tip etc., we were dressed coming back from a wedding and not like that. Overall, we were disappointed & did not leave a usual healthy tip as a result of how rudely we were treated. Just a shame really. read more
