Dr…read moreRucker, my Audiologist (MD) bent over backwards sending my hearing aids in for repair and then taking me directly to the ENT PA to have my ears checked, a new hearing test, etc. After several appointments with my ENT physician and the PA, I was finally diagnosed with an ear infection and given an antibiotic by Dr Merritt. I am finally on the way to recovery and hearing again. PTL. Dr Merritt and Dr Rushing were very patient with me and I am now seeing Dr Merritt every 2 weeks until this is totally resolved. Thank you Dr. Rushing and Dr Merritt. The receptionists have also been very helpful making sure I get scheduled.

Sat in the waiting room for 35 minutes (25 minutes I was the only person in the waiting room) finally brought into room and then sat for another 15 minutes and still haven't seen the doctor. I left and will never return. I was charged over $400 out of pocket for a steroid shot and was not told insurance may not cover it. It's seems it's all about the money and seeing as many patients as they can and not at all about patient care!

I am a bit particular about who I like to share my health info with so I like to meet my new doctor and check each other out to make sure we are both comfortable sharing all those deep dark secrets about colds, pains, and the occasional weird ailments. Physicians Associates has a number of offices around central Florida and I had been going to the one in Kissimmee all this time (I live in Winter Garden!) so I decided to try the office closer to me. The doctor I picked did not work out. After our first visit, I knew I could not share with him and feel comfortable so I decided to try another office which brings me to this one in Clermont and Dr. Timmel. Like many doctors offices, I called to make an appointment when I had a cold and was told the next available time to see him would be about 2 months from now. 2 months? My cold will be gone by then! After some conversation with the lady on the phone, I made an appointment to meet Dr. Timmel but it would be about a months wait. I know I am a 'new' patient to him but in the past, my old office would always fit me in and I could see him that day or next. Being new to this office I had to wait to meet him. But I can say, the wait was worth it. The office is in a building right next to South Lake Hospital. After checking in with the receptionist, she handed me a large tablet computer and asked me to fill in all my information on it. That was kind of cool but a bit confusing since some of the questions that it asked me did not make sense. One thing that bothered me was that after entering in all my medications, it wanted to know if I wanted to save money on them by using a mail order system it offered... buy three months worth of drugs for the price of two... but I said no to the offers. After that was done, a few min later a very nice nurse took me in the back and took all my vitals. I explained to her why I was there and the few challenges I was having. A few min after she left Dr. Timmel came in and we chatted about many different things. I truly enjoyed his bedside manner and I knew then I had found my new doctor. He was thoughtful and answered all my questions. Never made me feel rushed and I felt he was truly concerned about my health. Of the three challenges I brought to him that day, he was able to help me with all three. I made a new appointment for a full exam in a few weeks and left with a hand full of papers and lab tests to do. Everyone at the office was very nice and I feel that they all care about the health of their patients. My only challenge with the experience was that by the time I got home, I had three emails from my pharmacy telling me that my new prescriptions were not ready.... what new prescriptions? I soon found out that the office had ordered the drugs I take on a daily basis from my cardiologist... something we did not even talk about. Why? Nobody told me they were going to do this and now my insurance company was not going to cover any of it since I had just refilled them a week ago. And besides, Dr. Timmel is not the original doctor who prescribed them so why would he fill them? A bit confusing but I think it is something done by the computers and not him directly. Other than that confusion, I found Dr. Timmel, his staff and the office visit to be a good experience. Enjoy!

I visited his office on Michigan St. recently (7/3/17) for issues with my vocal stamina as well as recurring headaches. When I arrived, I had come unprepared as I had left information they had requested at home. (Derp.) The wonderful lady at the front desk was very polite with me and made phone calls to gather the information. I can only imagine how annoying people like myself must be when they forget EVERYTHING, however, she never blinked and eye and I was back to see Dr. Lehman in no time. The nurse who assisted with Dr. Lehman was extremely nice as was the doctor. I felt like they both listened to my issues and asked detailed questions. I was also very impressed with the questions about my recurring headaches. I have spoken with two other doctors prior who brushed these weekly episodes off as allergies/sinus issues. Luckily, Dr. Lehman ordered a CT scan of the area the headaches keep affecting so we can see what is going on inside this head of mine. Someone took me seriously! Thank you! Seriously, thank YOU. As with the vocal issues, I was sent to see a vocal therapist in the building during the same appointment who did a scope and found my problem which is a polyp. Again, wow! One appointment and I know why my voice is strained. I love it! He even showed me a few techniques to utilize in order to help this issue as it heals. I have a couple of follow up appointments with Dr. Lehman and his staff in the coming months and I'm happy to go. Yes, HAPPY to go. I felt respected and validated with my concerns with the first visit. I wish all doctors treated their patients so well. I feel like one of the "lucky ones!"

Called back could not get a person . Do not waste your time with this nonsense . The office is run horribly ! My father at 85 had an appt last year . When he returned home he said his ears were still not clearly irrigated I told him to go back . He was upset so I called and was able to get someone on the phone and said he is driving back right now!!!!!! They said oh he will need a new appt . I said the appt was not completed properly !!!! He is returning and he better not be turned away . So he went back waited another hour and they made him have a hearing exam which he did not need before he could see the same person that did not finish the job !!!! So he spent over 4 hours and an ear exam Medicare did not need to pay for but they really illegitimately called for so they could finish the job ! It should have been reported to Medicare ! This is fraud in my mind .. stay away at all costs . Once you are seen they will call and call to get you back in but any referral etc they do not want to deal with . There are plenty of ent's in town I would stay away from this very poorly and unethically run practice !!!!! Terrible 0 stars but guess had to give one star if not it's a zero !!!!!!!STAY AWAY!

Then my husband went in person asking to speak to someone and they told him they were too busy. They would call him back soon. Two days later still no call, so he made one last attempt with leaving a message for a nurse to call him back. Still waiting... We will not be returning to this office.
