Agent put replacement order in the system, but I need to again wait 15 days to report package that does not arrive. SCAM!! 2nd of 3 agents I spoke with advised checks ship UPS, but said she did not have access to tracking detail. Agent #3 I spoke with said the same thing - no access to tracking #. I've been a customer of Bradford Exchange Checks for years. I placed another check order. When the checks were delivered, I noticed some errors in the documentation. I contacted their customer service department and explained the discrepancies with these new checks. The customer service rep told me there was nothing she could do to help me because I reordered these checks online. I spent almost $80 dollars on these checks and the company refused to reprint them with the corrected information and spacing. Flat out refused. I DO NOT recommend this company at all. However, I apparently signed up for a trial of some kind of monthly rewards club as part of a free shipping offer. It took me two months to realize that happened. I tried to place an order. It was my second order that day for checks. I was supposed to receive a 10% discount. The sales tax rate they charged was 3 times as high as my state's sales tax rate. Before I placed my order I called them and was unable to get them to fix either problem. I did not place the order. When I get the invoice from my first order the sales tax better be accurate. If not I will get my states consumer affairs to investigate whether this money was turned in to them or just part of it. Lies and deceptive practices. Gives an option for payments and then they tell you your item shipped. When it never arrives, but your bank has been charged the 1st payment, I called and was told I didn't "qualify" for payments and I had to pay full amount upfront before they ship it. Be careful ordering checks from the Bradford Exchange. My checks were stolen during shipping and I had a very difficult time reaching customer service for assistance in tracking down my order. Checks for large sums were written against my banking account which necessitated closing the account. The Bradford Exchange checks are pretty and expensive but I will never order from them again. I have pretty much stopped writing reviews, but I had to write a review about The Bradford Exchange and my experience simply because the recent reviews are really bad. I did get a pit in my stomach upon reading the reviews after already placing my order. Fear not, however. My experience was generally good. Yours will be also, as long as you know how to go about it. First off, there are 3 ways to order. You can order online, or by mailing an order form, or over the phone. I found the web site difficult to navigate, especially when trying to find the discounted $3.95 offer. It would also be easy to pay for something you don't want. I recommend skipping online ordering. Mail-in is an option. Just be sure to read all the fine print, and be sure to print legibly or else errors will be considered your fault. I chose the phone option. Be aware of the fine print that a phone "processing fee" applies. It is about $4.25, and I had it waived by simply saying that if they didn't want to waive it I would mail in the order form. So here is how the phone order went. I was looking for the $3.95 offer, and be aware that this offer is for the plain blue traditional checks only. The first representative I spoke to dropped the call when I was almost done ordering, so I had to start over with a second rep. Be fully aware that your total WILL come to about $38 for 100 checks until you are persistent that you don't want "extras". They will make every attempt to upsell. I had the rep go over every charge with me. "In plant rush"? No, take that off. "Secure ship"? No, take that off. "EZ Shield"? No, take that off. Be firm. $2.95 Service/Handling is a required charge, as is sales tax. Your total will be $6.90 plus your state sales tax. I HAVE NOT had a recurring charge on my credit card for a monthly membership fee, as so many reviewers have stated. The rep wasn't very careful. She did not make a good effort to get all info correct. The checks arrived much faster than the estimate as well as the reviews state. About 1 week. No surprise, my name on the checks was spelled wrong. I braced myself for awful customer service and long hold times, as the reviews state. I was connected to a very good rep quickly. The rep did verify how I ordered, and then apologized for the inconvenience and said the corrected set would be sent out soon. She was very nice. This is the advantage of ordering by phone. Bradford cannot say it's the customer's error when the rep spells your name wrong. The replacement checks arrived just as quickly, about 1 week. I have no complaints. Just go in knowing that it is not a slam dunk order. You are dealing with salespeople trained to get as much money out of you as they can. Be firm, and don't be afraid. I would think many of the bad reviews are from people who weren't careful and/or made mistakes with the order and/or didn't read any fine print. I got a great deal. First - want to say I've been ordering from Brandford Exchange for more than 30 years. Initially, it was a great low-cost option to the cost charged by banks, which then were the only places to get your checks. The quality of the checks were far superior than they are now, declining gradually in years, primarily, initially it was stated due to better use of resources. Agreed. Second - have always appreciated the options in designs and print formats. Third - again, back to my first point, Bradford HAD always been a great deal. Today, sad to say, it's far from it. Have watched the costs of the checks gradually increase as well as the nickel-and-diming at the end for S&H, etc. But, what used to cost - at the most - nearly $20 today cost nearly $40, with half being for the checks and the other the combined total of S&H, lettering!!(never charged before), tax, in-house rush, and some other petty thing. Needless to say this will be the last time ordering from them. I canceled that membership thing - got suckered into that thing years ago - but to charge nearly $40 for something that used to cost ~$8 for twice the amount is highway robbery. There is also special 2 box or 4 box pricing, which also may or may not be available due to exclusions. Costs escalate if you include the company's Address Labels and Extra Deposit Tickets. The company also offers EZShield Check Fraud Protection, special lettering, accessories, shipment tracking, etc, all at additional costs. So, an advertised $4.95 for a box of check for a new customer, which may or not be available, or $21.95 to $23.95 for returning customers, balloons after the add-ons. Is this company selling checks or is it selling add-ons? It may be better to buy a box of checks at your bank, a straightforward transaction, than here. read more

It showed accurately on my credit card on 2/6/2025. 20 days later, on 2/26/2025, my credit card bank account showed that I purchased the same 2 items again, which I did not. My account with them now shows some kind of plan that I never signed up for or even knew about. None of my order confirmation emails (or any emails from them) show a subscription plan that I signed up. Complete fraud. read more

I have ordered many items (usually Christmas gifts) from Bradford in the past. Well I ordered some checks awhile back and noticed on my bank statement a charge for $16.95 to Bradford rewards. Apparently they enrolled me in a rewards program without my knowledge. I called many times as well as emailed them. They keep saying they will refund the $16.95 but as of now I still haven't received one. Online reviews for the Bradford exchange are not good. When did they start these dirty tactics?
