My wife and I contracted Bradford to install a new tile floor. Their workers had nothing in common with the painting out who did marvelous work . If anyone is in the market for a new floor it might be best to patronize the superstores in Danvers. They always call and ask how the workers performed. Pam was our sales director and it didn't seem to be disturbed about the awful condition of our place. Stan is a direct representative of sorts and I had complained about tiles not installed properly. He agreed because in one section I felt I was walking on a trampoline. When I didn't hear from Stan for a few weeks , we returned to the Bradford store on Newbury street only to find out he didn't remember me. That was our last interaction with Bradford. A couple years go we used Bradfords for a carpet installation. This time we needed hardwood installed in a new home office. We had such a wonderful experience previously and hoped we would be as lucky the second time around. The floors came out absolutely perfect! They helped choose the best flooring based on the look we were after. Ultimately, we choose a new type of flooring that is waterproof and scratch proof and looks like real hardwood. The only downside is, now I wish we had that throughout the entire house because our dog's nails have done a real number on the original house floors and water stains in the kitchen. Alas, that larger project will have to be for another day when the penny jar is full. The installers worked quickly and flawlessly and were very helpful with the best options on how to blend the new floor with the floor that is in the rest of the home at the doorway for a seamless transition. We are perfectionists and are never thrilled to have to delegate home work to strangers, but thankfully we've found a company we trust with our floors. My basement has been in the process of "being finished" since we bought the house four years ago. Shortly after we moved in, the basement flooded, so we had to install French drains all around the perimeter of the house. That took nearly two years to complete. The rest of the work took another year and a half. Needless to say, I was ready to get this project FINISHED. And I wanted to get some nice, durable, attractive carpeting to finish it all off. After we installed the Dri-Core subfloor (designed with little plastic feet that keep it elevated off the concrete in case, for some reason, water ever did come in), we were ready to start thinking about carpet. We checked out the selection at the big box stores, and then we decided to check this place out, since we had seen it several times while dining at Fuddruckers. We went in and worked with a really helpful salesperson named Dave. He steered us in the right direction as far as choosing a carpeting suitable for our space, and then he came out to our house to measure/give us a quote within a few days. The carpet came in in about a week, and they came to install it yesterday. They did a great job, taking their time to make sure that everything looked really good. And look good it did. I'm so psyched with how everything came out, and the basement has been transformed from a dingy storage area into 400 additional square feet of actual living space. It certainly cost us more than it would have cost to go to one of those other stores, but I think it was worth it. The quality of the carpet is great, and the service we got was awesome. Plus if we ever have any problems, they encourage us to let them know, and they'll take care of it. They will even bind off the leftover carpet for free, and make whatever you like: door mats, runners, etc. I think that's a nice touch. If we ever need to carpet another area of the house, we wouldn't go anywhere else. Bradford is the premier place for high quality carpeting and great service. read more

My wife and I had a very good experience ordering and getting the carpet picked out with Dave in the store. He even came out to do the measurements on the stairs we were putting a runner on. The sales team is top notch and I really wish the good service would have extended into the actual installation. However - once we came to the part where crews needed to come out to our condo twice (Once to make a template for the stairs and a second time to actually install the carpet) we started running into problems. For the first visit we were scheduled between 9-10 am on a Monday. We received no call ahead and then the team did not materialize until about 10:45 am after several calls to the store and to Dave to figure out where they were. This is really unacceptable given that we have to stay home from work to be available. For the second visit we had basically an identical issue but even worse. We were scheduled from 8-9am on a Monday morning. I stayed home from work to make sure to be here so they could install the runner. Come 9:30 am we still had no call to let us know where they were, no update and no show from the team. I had to call the store and speak to someone who told me that the team left the store at 7:40 am and should have been there long before when I called. He took my number and said he would reach out to the team and then give me a call back. I waited another 30 minutes and heard nothing. I had to call the store back a 2nd time and was told "they should have been there already, I'll call them again". Both times there was no new information, just that they should be there soon and that the "traffic is bad". This is Boston - the traffic is always bad that is not an excuse. read more

I shopped around at five carpet stores and Bradford was the best in every way. They had the most interesting selection, most helpful staff, and just put in that extra customer service. I took home a few samples, at no charge unlike other stores, and took more than a week to decide with no pressure from them. Once I chose my stairway carpeting, it was measured within a week and installed within another two weeks. The whole transaction was so easy. The price was the best around and the installers were speedy, professional, and clean. They even bound the remnant at no charge. I've only ever gone to Bradford for the carpets in my homes, and I will use only Bradford in the future. We've had wall-to-wall carpets installed, stair runners installed, hallway runners installed, and purchased many different sized area rugs. I had a really good experience with Bradford Carpet One. We just moved into a new home; a fixer upper. My neighbor had recommended them after they redid their bedrooms. We went to the store in Saugus - pretty big showroom - and met with a very helpful salesperson - they came out to the house within a day to measure everything up and provide us with an estimate. Avoid this business at all costs - they do absolutely horrible work and are not a reputable establishment. Bradford Carpet One installed stair runners in my brand new townhome - the installer they sent cut slashes into the wood stair treads in numerous locations, several inches beyond the edges of the carpet. He also put staples into the stair treads outside the perimeter of the carpet runner and installed the carpet off-center by several inches. They sent a second crew to attempt to repair the work, they did a marginally better job with the installation however, the damage to the treads was still clearly visible beyond the edges of the carpet. I requested that they repair the damage or refund my money. Linda, the consultant I had been working with quckly passed me on to other managers at the store rather than help me resolve the issue. Over the next several months, I contacted both Bruce and Dave on numerous occassions to attempt to get them to repair the damage. They sent a series of people to look at the damage, take pictures and "discuss" what could be done. The one repairman they sent sanded the damaged treads resulting in an even worse appearance. In the end, I paid close to $2000, the carpet installation was sub par, the wood treads are damaged beyond repair, and I was inconvenienced by having to be home on 7 (seven!) different occassions for them to do little more than look at the damage. There are countless other carpet stores in the Boston area, do yourself a favor and select someone else. read more
