You can't send a request on their website for an estimate because the form keeps coming back as an error message. After spending more than 20 min with 2 different people on Friday, on the phone talking about how I have to call back to have an appointment. I think I have an appointment tomorrow at 10:30 am for an estimate, but I was told that I had to receive a call today about the appointment for an estimate and that I had to call back to say I would be here. Someone did call me and left a vm asking me to call back. I did return the call twice, leaving messages both times. The company telephone VM message says leave a message and then does not accept the message. Please fix your website form. Please fix your VM box. I finally did hear back from the floor epoxy contact who came by today to provide the estimate for me. read more

Stop - Do Not Hire This Company They applied an epoxy floor in my basement. They did NOT use vacuum bags The deadly Silica dust was created and went all over my house creating more then &100,000 worth of damage When concrete dust gets into your lungs it can cause lung disease. Top of the line for quality and professionalism. I was undertaking a whole home renovation which required a lot of coordination between subcontractors and timely sequencing when it came to installation of the flooring. The quality, fit and finish of the flooring is a constant talking point for all those who see it. Saulnier Floor refinished my wood flooring in my recently purchased house in Brookline, Ma. After purchasing my house and being located in California, I had to find someone that I can trust to refinish the badly beaten up oak floors in my "new" (1935) house. Mr. Paul Saulnier responded quickly to my calls and provided detailed information on what was needed to restore the hardwood floor. Two crews divided the project, one to strip the floor and coat, and the second to repair the missing and damaged wood pieces. The house was so clean after the final sanding and coating, I didn't need to clean after them to move into the house. They saved me a lot of work and grief. This flooring company is awful and irresponsible. I have stayed at home for work four times to meet with them a good sized job. First time they came by and despite repeated prompts did not provide a bid. Then they said they would come back and estimate again. Salnier was a no show for the next three appointments. Each time they claimed they had emergencies on flooring installs at other sites. All told, four (4) wasted days. What quality flooring company has emergencies on flooring installs all the time? As one of the bazillion residents in the Northeast with ice dam-related issues this winter, I turned to Saulnier to repair a warp in the hardwood floors and refinish the rest. Having no experience with hardwood floors (I grew up with them but, duh, my parents handled that, and my previous condo had all carpeting), the first thing Saulnier did right was help me learn what I didn't know. They - actually Brian - was the one who explained why I needed redo to all the floors and not just a patch job. He told me that they could fix the floors in shifts, i.e. work around where my furniture could be moved so I didn't have to move out entirely. He even recommended a service that would move my furniture as well. Lastly, he measured my bathroom door to see if my refrigerator could be moved in there (it could and did) and also reminded me that my homeowner's insurance would cover the cost of a hotel. Once I felt that this situation would be far less burdensome than I feared, Brian invited me to the showroom to look at wood samples. The showroom, though small, has some gorgeous samples of wood design, and if I were a millionaire, I would have ordered medallions and fancy trim all around the edges of my open-concept condo. I was actually overwhelmed in the showroom, but later Paul encouraged me to go with a standard popular light wood color with "flame." I had some idea of what it would be, but basically, I trusted them enough to go with, "Surprise me." I was not disappointed. They did a great job and even took the time to touch up a spot that had been smudged and to fix a cracked step in the hallway. They repaired my floor in "shifts" and were really friendly doing it. One suggestion I would give to them and all repair-related businesses is is to be a bit more organized with telephone communications. I found that communicating with the "office guys" was sometimes muddled, because they were in their cars or not in the office and clearly hadn't written down what I said (for example, which bedroom was NOT getting done or which day they were supposed to come back for the second half of the job - even though it had been discussed more than once). This isn't a slight against Saulnier because everything got done and done well; I think it's fallout from a more mobile way of doing business and I see it everywhere. I wish that contractors would go back to a simpler time and have a middle-aged office lady answering their phones, who is super organized, keeps the guys organized, has big hair, wears a lot of lipstick, has a thick Boston accent, and calls everybody "Hon." Bottom line: they were terrific and my floors look great. Highly recommend! read more
