No one to help bring all stuff to your room so it's quite some work (no Bellhops either so be prepared). This is our first time at a homewood suites and I love this setup! It's very spacious and comfortable. I always clean the surfaces, light switch's and remote controls etc. My wipes were very clean, no dirt or dust so housekeeping does a good job! We stayed in room 6205, king suite. The bed is comfortable and I melted into the pillows. Stared at some stains on the ceiling. Sleep wise, it was noisy for my husband, who slept next to the window. He said he was woken up by vehicles outside and woke up 4x during the night. He checked his watch that monitors his sleep pattern. I didn't hear anything. Breakfast ends at 9 so I had to painfully start waking up around 7ish and finally made it up at 8. There were only 4 hot items, breads and chia pudding. Hot items included egg, potato, pulled pork and sausage patty. My favorite was the pork, this is one of the better free breakfasts that we've had. Theres a guest laundry 24 hours right next to the gym. My shower had 2 shampoos and conditioner, no body wash. I asked the front desk to leave on my door since we were about to sleep but they said they'd deliver in the morning. Got nothing this morning. Shower curtain was ripped, got to examine it while showering with no soap last night. My tissue box was also half wet from the previous customer so had no tissues and no one delivered. 9:55 am someone banging something from Nextdoor or upstairs, I think it's maintenance? I can hear people talking while I'm in bed. Popeyes and LAZ parking right across the street. Highly recommend Bear smokehouse which is a 2 min drive. Target is also very close, 7 mins away. We are in a good location. Despite a few minor inconveniences, we should would stay again.

There are 6-8 buildings total, but no elevations. Only stairs so if you are on the second floor just be aware! Upon entering our room, we learned that the walls are SUPER THIN! The people next door were singing karaoke to the top of their lungs and the man standing outside was smoking trees. The room itself was decent but nothing special. It comes with a living room, kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. The tub looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a while. The HOT water was amazing because the temperature outside was cold! Staff did salt the walkways. The breakfast was a LIMITED selection with soupy overnight oats! The staff on day shift was friendly. I have to add that the room where we held our business meeting leaked!!!!!! Like formed a puddle on the carpet. My stuff got drenched but luckily not ruined. Not much was done to accommodate.

This place is very close to the airport, so it's a quick ride to the terminal or rental car return, with a gas station along the way. Checking in here was quick, friendly, and professional. The lady checking me in was nice and helpful too. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but inside they have all the full-service options you would need from a business hotel, such as a bar/restaurant. My room was just ok. The bathroom had a horrible musty smell from the shower curtain and the bathroom was in serious need of being updated/renovated, as it had a door that opened into the toilet/tub, so you needed to close the door to use the tub - nowadays the barn door style is preferred to prevent this obstruction. The flooring in the room looks like it's been updated, it was decent and not carpet, which is a plus. Bedding was decent. TV was OK. Overall, I got a decent sleep. I was able to get my work done. The stay wasn't bad. I would stay here when in the area again.

I went down to the bar, and waited about 10 minutes before I was greeted by the bar tender Matt. I ordered a lemon drop. Then two coworkers joined me. Matt was rude to us for no reason! He acted as if we we bothering him and he was VERY SHORT AND ANNOYED. My coworker asked for her lemon drop to be made with tequila and he told her no he wouldn't do it. He almost snapped her head off! Mind you, the bar was full and no one was EATING! We were the only ones having food! I get that you may be UNDER PAID and OVER WORKED. HOWEVER, BEING RUDE TO US IS JUST WRONG! I tip VERY well! Just because we're the only people of color in your bar, gives you NO RIGHT to treat us badly! DO BETTER! There was no one that I saw sitting at the tables, so WHY BE SO MEAN?? We had questions about the food (1st time at this hotel), so be NICE AND BE PATIENT! No need to be RUDE, breathe HEAVILY nor ROLL YOUR EYES. IM JUST OVER BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE OF PLACES that HAVE DEAD ATMOSHERES! I can see why you're empty. The bartender probably run folks off.

We even tried to make it work because we were in town for a funeral and asked them to clean the room however I got in bed and noticed bed bugs CRAWLING in bed with us (see video). I went in my pajamas at 11pm and showed the front desk clerk (he said there is no manager to even speak to until Monday) and he did not bat an eye, or apologize. Or even offer an explanation for the video of the adult bed bug crawling in bed and actually said he would only us for one night (we had stayed 0 nights and barely checked in) - I told him we would be leaving and we need a refund for the only two nights we were supposed to stay. He didn't say a word and then came to my room, knocked on the door, and said he spoke to a manager and if we leave in ten minutes he will refund for both nights. We left the hotel disgusted and disappointed, only to get an email we only got a refund for one night. We called the hotel and he said we would have to call back Monday and hung up. There is no excuse for this kind of negligence - blood, pubic hair, bed bugs, bodily fluid, and no apology. I plan to take this to IHG and higher however PLEASE stay away from this place

They were able to accommodate us right away. The most helpful thing about them taking us right away was that we were travelling with our cat, and needed a pet friendly hotel, and they were it. The room was spotless. No weird odors or anything like that. They're a smoking-free hotel too. Overall it was very quiet there, we barely heard noise from other people staying, the sound proofing was that good. They had free coffee and free breakfast in the lobby too! The room we booked was a deluxe double beds, both queen size. We had a fridge, a large tv, and good enough storage for our clothes. The bathroom setup was odd, because the shower and toilet were in one room, and the sink/vanity were across from the bathroom door right by the room's entrance. There weren't really ideal places to store toiletries, which I was mildly annoyed by. But that's not that big of a deal, we made do. Our cat wasn't the biggest fan of travelling or staying in the hotel, but I think it being so quiet there really helped her out. I would have not travelled with her and had her in a kennel or a friend looking after her if she didn't need her probiotic and anxiety meds! In any case she had a good time running around the room and playing with her toys. The woman who checked us in was so professional and sweet. Answered any questions we had clearly and concisely. The woman who checked us out was the total opposite, she clearly didn't give a crap, but we only had to deal with her for about five minutes and it's not like I can force someone to give a crap. Overall it was a great stay and I will definitely be back!

I want to give a special shoutout to Barbara who truly made me feel at home. She was warm, friendly, and went out of her way to connect with me including sharing that she has family in Southern California where I am from. Charles the shuttle driver was also incredibly sweet and kind and made transportation pleasant throughout my stay. There was only one area where improvement is needed. While most of the staff was friendly and attentive my experience with Pico the shuttle driver who worked until 11 PM was disappointing. I would not describe him as rude but he appeared uninterested in engaging with guests and lacked basic customer service manners. When greeted he did not respond. When asked simple questions such as how he was doing or about Connecticut he remained silent. His body language felt cold and unwelcoming which is not ideal for a role that involves interacting with tourists and hotel guests. Additionally, he expressed frustration in front of me to the concierge about having to drop off two groups at different locations even though the shuttle operates within a five mile radius. This gave the impression that he did not want to perform his job responsibilities. This was not an isolated incident as this behavior was consistent during all three days we encountered him. I believe this could be improved by having a conversation with him about the level of customer experience expected in his role and encouraging or recognizing efforts to provide basic hospitality

I stayed here for one night 7 or 8 years ago and remembered that it was quiet and convenient, so that made it easy to decide where I would stay again. My room was spotless, bed was comfy and the water was hot for my shower the following morning. I needed different pillows when I arrived and said it was no hurry since I was headed out shortly, but housekeeping brought them right away. I need to spend another night in the Hartford area in a couple of weeks, this one is not the most convenient to where I am headed, but I will probably stay again due to the great experience and free parking (some of the hotels in Manchester are charging for parking, and that is a big NO for me!).

The check in host definitely needs Customer Service training. Acting as if it my fault they have a new system. They as I finally get a room key, for the 2nd floor, the Elevator is out of service. So there I am lugging up two suitcase to the second floor via the stairs. Now you get to the room, and it's rather run down and dirty. Light switches cracked, stairs on the furniture and desk. Vanity light cord draped over the towel bar that you have to plug in to turn on. No valet laundry bag. Some random electronic item in the TV console that is not even plugged in. There was no extra bed linen for the sofa couch? This hotel needs to get back to JW Marriotts belief and practice of Customer Service.

They made note and we were excited for our trip. Come check in day; we walk in and the receptionist (Justina) was beyond rude. When we asked about the rooms being close together her response was "we don't have them close, one room is on the 1st floor and the other is on the 3rd floor. That's what we have." When I politely asked if there was something she could do to put the rooms closer, she rolled her eyes and said "nope." That's it, no empathy or offers to help." So I left and went down the street to the Double Tree and was provided with 2 rooms, and respectful staff. The majority of our team was staying at the Fairfield we later learned that when the girls were swimming and realized there were no pool towels, they went to ask for some. Justina yelled at them and told them to deal with it, these girls are 11/12 years old; not to mention one of coaches was behind the girls when they got yelled at. After we got settled at the Double Tree, I returned to the Fairfield and politely asked Justina to make sure our reservation was cancelled and we would not be charged; she informed me that she would write a note; mind you, we had a "note" asking for the rooms close...so I will be calling the General Manager Jack Hannum, on Monday, and also calling Corporate. We have traveled with teams and our family for many years and this experience was BY FAR the WORST. EVER. Experience we have had. I'm typically a rational and empathetic person, however, when someone begins the conversation rudely and continues with the level of disrespect, it's not tolerated nor appreciated.
