This hotel did exactly what we needed for a quick Connecticut trip. This hotel is located minutes (5ish) from Bradley Airport. We checked in on a Friday during a wild snow storm. Rebecca greeted us, gave us our room info and let us know about amenities. We asked if she had any suggestions for dinner as we knew some restaurants would be closed. She provided us with a list of nearby spots to checkout! For being an airport hotel, we had no noise concerns! The room was nice and spacious and clean. They do have a shuttle to and from the airport that is 24/7. You can call when you land and then schedule it the night before departure. The continental breakfast provided us with a wide variety of options too. We'd recommend to anyone with a quick trip and looking to be near the airport. Honestly this hotel earned the 5 star. Who would have guessed an unassuming airport hotel would feel so plush?! Great attentive service from the checkin to housekeeping to the lovely gentleman who brought towels to the pool/hot tub. Rooms were small but well organized and comfy beds. Breakfasts were good--eggs,yogurt, hot oatmeal, make your own waffles etc. hot coffee available At all hours. Icemaker next to the elevators--these are the little things which improve the hotel experience. We attended for a wedding--Id consider having our own function here. Stayed here on a one night flight layover. The staff at this hotel are all very pleasant. Room is spacious for a standard room. Firm comfortable bed. Breakfast is really weak on freshness. Fruit stale and orange juice watery. This is an easy fix. I will be back next month. Hopefully things will have improved in the kitchen. Overall, nice hotel. read more

Since it was predicted to snow morning of my flight back home, I decided to stay closer to the airport so I book the room here. I'm so glad I did! The facility is dated but acceptable. The room was large like a typical Hampton inn. What makes this Hampton top notch is it's customer service. I called for early check in and they were able to accommodate me and gave me a quite room. Once I arrived, they suggested I drop my rental off early and take their shuttle service in the morning! This hotel refused to refund my night due to an illness. The airline was more than accommodating since I had to cancel my flight as well. The manager would not work with me and I offered to stay at the hotel again. Because of the manager, I will NEVER stay book a Hampton Inn again. I have stayed at quite a few Hampton Inns and this one is by far the best one yet. The facility was well kept and clean, I commented to my wife that it must either be a newer property or recently renovated one. The pool and whirlpool were clean with plenty of seating and the water temperatures were just right. I enjoyed time there both the night we got there and the morning we left. The breakfast was the typical Hampton Inn variety and everything was great and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place to others. read more

We started our 10 days in CT at this hotel. It is close to the Hartford airport. Compared to other Hampton Inns it is a tad dated but nothing that bad. Same friendly staff, fresh & hot breakfast, and wonderful beds. Of all the Hamptons in CT this one had the best bed. Honestly, we didn't want to get up at all. We could have had a great day in bed but that was not the purpose of our trip. The check in process was extremely quick. We were in room 408 which was by the elevator and I was worried we would hear them in the morning but we almost slept pass breakfast. Breakfast is the standard Hampton Inn spread. It is the best in the business for my money. The bathrooms were clean and the we had plenty of towels. Wifi was a good speed as well. Overall, a great night sleep at a good price. For a king room with a couch on a Saturday night we paid $125 total. If back in the area we would stay again. read more

We were located near an exit because Connie noticed that we were smokers and because the hotel is smoke-free she made the trip too the smoking area very short - - greatly appreciated. We used the shuttle to go to Ruby Tuesday for supper and it was great going and coming. The room was well appointed and the beds were comfortable. Here are the highlights: Room Reserved a room right by the pool so my ASD son wouldn't be triggered to run the hallways or joyride the hotel elevators High ceilings Hotel Pool includes very hot jacuzzi Very modern and recently renovated Breakfast On the first day, a Saturday, there were potatoes and oatmeal for Vegan Mom. The kids were happy with the waffle machine, which is a typical amenity at a Hampton Inn breakfast. On Sunday morning we found the breakfast area to be very crowded at 9:30 am; it closes at 10:00 am. Items were being replenished repeatedly. No potatoes in stock today! My daughter was thrilled with the 'circle ham' which resembles the disc on a McMuffin. I was not keen on those. Guest rooms are perpendicular to the road, so it would seem any view would be of the perimeter parking lot Only negative is the main hotel signage. Even while navigating via Waze, we drove right by it. Other area hotels featured prominent roadside or marquee signage. Very close to Bradley Airport. As we approached the hotel, a plane was descending over us and the kids found it quite dramatic. Good location, southern end of the road alongside Bradley Airport, with multiple fast food outlets and some restaurants. Room was super clean. Had just about everything you need...except a fridge and microwave. Hot breakfast everymorning in the lobby from 6AM to 10AM. Heated indoor pool and whirlpool. Small exercise center. Front desk and staff were very friendly and accomodating. read more

We stayed at this Hampton inn. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out it was very pleasant. Very clean rooms, decent breakfast, friendly staff. Great location close to the airport. They provide a shuttle to and from the airport for guests. The staff at check-in was extremely helpful. They also gave me tons of restaurant delivery menus when I inquired about food late in the evening. The room itself is quite comfortable, its not the newest stuff in town in regards to decor but its not outdated either. They offer a complimentary breakfast in the morning which has a pretty good selection. They even have a make your own waffle station which I see less of now a days in hotel breakfast buffets. Very nice hotel. We stayed for one night in the king size room. Had a nice desk area. Very clean hotel. Very nice people working there. Awesome breakfast between 6-10 am. They seriously had everything from cereal to make your own Belgian waffles. Oatmeal, fruit, biscuits, mole yes, susage, bread for toast, they had a toaster, 4 kinds of juice, coffee, muffins, tea, hot chocolate, water, yogurt. Hampton Inn generally offers a solid experience and is usually great in a pinch. This particular spot, however, is just terrible. The hotel itself is very meh, and below standard of many other Hampton Inn offerings: shabby rooms, crappy bedding, etc. But the real issue here is the service: just atrocious. I mean completely unhelpful, incompetent, and flat out rude. Major issues sorting the airport shuttle and, in the midst of a massive storm and flight cancellations across the board, no option for late check out, or any help from staff whatsoever. Definitely out of line with the Hilton brand and I will definitely never stay here again! read more

What a wonderful experience here! We arrived in a thunderstorm and were delighted with the kind efficiency of getting checked into a very clean beautifully decorated room. Used the state of the art exercise room. This morning we needed a box and someone kindly offered to find one and actually took the contents out to give it to us and then offered that there was packing tape at the front desk for us as well . We have been to a lot if Hampton Inns and this is by far the best one! read more

I cannot imagine a more disgusting stay. The night desk person on Saturday, November 12th could not have been worse and the maintenance person the same. The hotel is absolutely filthy - elevators, pool, rooms and with hokey Hilton signs that bear no connection. Music that is in the entry way and lobby at 11 pm at night - music that is obnoxious both in content and in speaker quality. I went to the pool, slipped and fell and hurt myself. I called the Windsor Police Department who did not even look at the water filled pool area that anyone could slip on. It is a public/private pool and the police have a responsibility. No apology from jerk night desk person - just "fill out incident report". I heard him say as the police were coming over the radio to the maintenance guy, "make sure you're in the pool area mopping up." Should have been mopped up as the day/night goes. Out of towels. A kid took my room key. No parental controls. But the filth and grime were appalling. The behavior of the personnel beyond ignorance and laziness. A pox on hotel management. Treated nicely as an Honors guest? Forget it. The guy at the front desk didn't show up for many minutes. Had to call him on the phone. Oh, and the emergency phone in the pool area didn't work. Also the whirlpool was below 102 which is the standard temperature mandated by the Health Department to kill most bacteria. So much for compliance, good will, and conscientiousness never mind accountability. Yuck. read more
