Avoid at all cost!!! I got very ill in this motel room from a really bad face rash to bedbug bites…read moreall my over my body.

Update! Was a 4.5 before, but things have been so good the moment we walked in the door I said "I…read moreneed to update the review on Yelp!" We've been keeping the place clean every day before we leave, and we've always found things lovingly put away and cleaned even more when we return. Today there was a little dish towel set out for us in the kitchen -- whoever cleans the rooms must have seen how much my boyfriend and I have been cooking. It brought a smile to our faces. The best part is this -- we woke up this morning to some work being done next door (not too loud or anything, it was just happening when we woke up) and we ended up leaving about an hour later. After a long day out visiting my family, we returned, and lo and behold -- our room was updated after we left with a brand new FLAT SCREEN TV and NEW WINDOWS! Everything that was on top of our old dresser was gently set aside, to the point where I wasn't even freaked out about someone touching my stuff -- everything here is like there's a bunch of friendly ghosts running a lovely little place. I never see any of the staff, but somehow everything is being so well-kept. This place is perfect for long-term stays. You get used to the busyness of the Berlin Turnpike, the Dollar Tree down the road has all the kitchen supplies you could need, there's a cute farm market nearby with fresh veggies during harvest seasons -- Perfect and incredibly affordable at the weekly rate. I'd rate higher if I could.

I would not stay here again…read more Pros: - Close to quick eating places - Close to Walmart - Right off the highway - The guy who works in the Bistro in the evenings is great! - Sauna in the women's locker room - Fridge and microwave in room - Cups are "sealed" as cleaned Cons - room 322: - Old hotel that has been lightly spruced up (you know the term - putting lipstick on a pig - yeah, this is it) - see pic with old electrical - Beds are super uncomfortable - 1 of 4 pillows needed to be replaced years ago - Mold growing in the shower (on the soap dispensers and on the shower curtain) - Bath tub needed to be scrubbed (looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months - good thing I had shower shoes with me) - Furniture is super old - Shower head needs to be replaced - No heating in hall leading from elevator to rooms - Shower did not have cold water - it was scalding hot (glad I didn't have a kid I needed to bathe or the kid would have been seriously burned)

Stayed here for an overnight for a military ball. Front desk staff and hotel staff in general was…read morefriendly. Our room was spacious, on the third floor and was very clean, however one of the lamps in the room did not work. There was a small coffee bar with pods provided, and water cups. Shower had good water pressure and there was ample towels provided. The bed was comfortable but the pillows sucked. The room they had our event in was spacious, and clean as well. They served food (one meat (chicken), mashed potatoes and two different times of veggies, three different salad options with dressings and an assortment of breads. Dinner was great, desserts were so so. But they did have a large assortment of those as well. Water, lemonade & iced tea were all available on each table and there was also a bar available for cocktails or beers. I'd recommend using this space for future events for anyone looking.

Coming in with a slightly sleep-deprived and travel-exhausted review after a long weekend at a LARP…read moreevent -- and honestly, this place delivered exactly what I needed. The price was right, the location was convenient, and while it's definitely not fancy, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and they had actual real pillows, which somehow feels like a luxury these days. The staff was kind and welcoming the entire stay. Now, is the area a little sketchy? Sure. Did it seem like at least a couple people were meeting their secret affair partners there? Also yes. But none of that mattered once I stepped into what may have been the greatest hotel shower of my life. Perfect water pressure, full temperature control, and after an exhausting weekend, that shower felt genuinely life-changing. For a brief moment, I transcended this mortal plane and felt spiritually restored. Would I call it luxury? No. Would I absolutely stay again for that shower alone? Without hesitation.

The outside of this hotel looks great, and the staff are really nice. Wife booked a room here,…read morewithout researching the area based only on the pictures online and it having a pool. Bless her heart it's her first time booking a hotel. When we pulled onto Brainard st we were met by a a dozen or so at risk youths on dirt bikes and mopeds riding up and down the street like something out of mad max passing by us on the wrong lane, so I thought that was cool. But as a parent thats sketchy as f. We passed an adult video store, and a bunch of homeless vagrants. We pulled into the parking lot and property was really nice on the outside (seriously they had great landscaping). There was a guy smoking a crack pipe (glass stem) in his car in the parking lot and audibly yelling at someone on the phone. What you want to see when you are traveling with children. This property is next to the sewage treatment plant, a dispensary and a half collapsed building in case you want to know. We check in, staff is very friendly. We checked out the pool that looked like a closed abandoned one. Another strike. We go down the hall and a crack head gets on the elevator with us. She's talking a mile a minute, clearly on drugs, she was trying to talk to us. Yikes. Scared the hell out of my son. It's also broad daylight. Hallways smelled of mold and fresh weed. We get to the room, it was sorta clean. We looked out the window and saw a guy doing the fent fold in a neighborhoring parking lot. The bathroom light was flickering like it was a horror movie. My son said he saw "a giant bug" and my wife inspected the sheets and mattress and it looked like evidence of bed bugs and gross stains. Seriously, red stains on a mattress will make anyone want to puke. There was no mattress cover. Just sheets raw dawging on it We decided to just travel the 2 hours home and skip the rest of our CT vacation. Staff was very nice when we told them we were leaving like it was common practice. Definitely purchase travel insurance as Best Western will not refund you, but our travel insurance did. If you are a parent maybe skip this location. However if you are more culturally enriched than me you might enjoy this place.
