Highly recommend Dr. Silber. He's been my dentist for over a decade. I consider the doctor and staff as my friends. After having issues all my life getting quality restorations (fillings and crowns) I found this place. Friendly staff, great quality restorations. Silber's assistant Sharon is so good at making temporary crowns, I'd be inclined to leave it in, if not for the material and cement not being permanent, lol! I've had small issues with repairs not holding up (rare occasion) but I attribute that to not wearing a bite guard at night (I'm a grinder) and if you have crowns that's a must! And everyone's mouth is different, we all chew differently. Your teeth also move around throughout your life (muscles and tendons reposition and re-tension). Plus, the deeper the filling, more likely for issues. And the more times a tooth has been worked on, it becomes more sensitized and the work becomes more complicated. He never pushes for more work than is necessary. He's made sure I'm pain free in any case. Even gave me a free replacement crown when it cracked (I have a heavy bite and wasn't wearing bite guard at that time). If you ever have discomfort after a restoration, just go back and they will do their best to make it right for free. read more

Dental care in Royal Oak/Oakland County. I was recently provided excellent care by Dr Reema Ajluni and staff from beginning to end: enrollment, booking, cleaning, x-rays and exam. After the exam, Dr Reema reviewed the x-rays with me and pointed out exactly what needed to be done. She let me know what work she could do and what problems needed referral to an endodontist. At no point did I feel pressured into getting questionable/unnecessary dental work. She listened to my input and concerns sincerely and took adequate time to answer all my questions. Professional and personable. The staff seems very competent as well. X-rays were done painlessly without the bulky awkward cardboard pieces to bite down on, the cleaning was deep and thorough but not painful or excessively long. The front office staff handled my paperwork and insurance details while quickly addressing my questions. I was also provided a itemized cost estimate with lower prices than provided by my last dentist. The office is clean and everyone is friendly and easy to communicate with. I was a patient for a few years and had a good experience with the dental hygienists and the dentists. However, there started to be a lot of issues with the billing and getting erroneous charges in the mail. The files were all on paper and I think whoever was doing the billing was (is?) making some major mistakes. It was very difficult to get the erroneous billing cleared up. I stopped being a patient there because I just didn't trust that they would charge my insurance correctly and fix their mistakes. The billing mistakes and stress associated with this office vastly overshadowed the kind treatment from the hygienists and dentist for me. I will never come back to this office. read more

BUYER BEWARE- this dentist will inaccurately bill you so it is important to cross reference with your insurance company (or even better just find a dentist who doesn't do this!) They will argue that you owe more even after you crunch the numbers with your insurance. I ended up having to find another dentist because I could not trust their billing- the final straw was a $77 bill that I had cleared up as a receptionist mistake by showing them the math at the front desk. They admitted the error, then 3 YEARS LATER re-billed me the amount saying this conversation never took place. I just paid it to avoid collections- however I basically just got robbed in the name of protecting my credit score! Since leaving this dentist all of my bills are magically accurate and I have no problems! read more

I've been coming here for about a year and am going to look for a new dentist. The hygienists are not very personal here, and I got chastised one time for being 15mins late, which may be fine for some people, but not really something I appreciated as someone paying for the service. However, more importantly, I had a pretty painful experience getting a crown put on between my temporary crown and my final crown. They didn't numb me, and said that's it's a pretty simple procedure and shouldn't cause a lot of pain, so I opted for no numbing agent. However towards the end, they sprayed my mouth with air right on the open tooth and it was probably one of the most painful things I've been through in a long while. After them telling me it shouldn't be bad, I just don't have a whole lot of confidence in much they tell me. read more

I was new to the area and selected this dental office as it was close to me. I needed a tiny filling plug to be reinserted in an implanted tooth. For no reason an X-ray was taken. There was no drilling involved and the tiny plug was placed in 10 minutes. I was charged $266!!!! I was told I was charged for a 'focal exam' meaning the dentist looked at my one tooth and charged for an exam. Of course she had to look at the tooth to insert the plug. This is a total rip off!!! I had zero pain when I walked in to get 2 cavity fillings. Afterwards, 3 visits later and still ongoing pain in both cavity filled teeth, now apparently I need a root canal? Really dissatisfied with this dentist and no way in hell they will touch mine or my sons teeth again. read more

This has been one of the worst dentists I have gone to. I just moved to Royal Oak recently and since I have a busy schedule I could not continue to go to my regular dentist in Taylor, which I have gone to since I was a kid. I decided to try this one since it was the closest to me. Upon my first visit I was told I have a teeth grinding problem and a hole in one of my cavities (that apparently was not there 7 months prior when I attended my previous dentist). They tried to convince me I needed an expensive mouth guard and to fix this hole. I knew I did not have a teeth grinding problem because I never have headaches when I wake up, or practically ever. I skipped out on that but worried about the hole so I gave in for the procedure. I also made sure I was informed on what my insurance was to cover and what the difference I was going to pay for everything (now 6 months later they are billing me for charges I was never aware of). After the procedure the left side of my jaw was in a considerable amount of pain (and I still have problems with sensitivity now, which I never did before). I decided to complain to my roommate one day because I was miserable. My roommate informed me he also decided to switch to that dentist also because of its proximity to where we live, and went there a couple days prior. He told me that they told him the SAME EXACT THING: that he had a teeth grinding problem and needed to patch up a hole in a cavity, ironically on the same side of mouth and same tooth as mine, but he asserted to them he wanted to decline the extra processes. Needless to say, this place is there to take your money in anyway it can and does not care about its patients. I even got charged for my return visit for them to RE-FIX my tooth because I was still in considerable amount of pain. I have never been so upset about a business, or services I've received, that I felt it necessary to go onto a website like this to write a review. read more

Dr. Silber is great, and the whole staff seems to like working there. My only complaint is that the dental hygienist (Ghada??) is way to rough, I had to come home and take ibuprofen after my cleaning. That being said though, my teeth looked good. read more

They have been more honest with me than previous dentists I have had - aka they don't want to fill cavities that I don't even have just so they can get more money. I have found everyone at this office to be professional and friendly and they have worked with me when it comes to finances. My insurance covers mostly everything here as well - which is great. I've been bouncing around to different dentists for years, never truly satisfied with the service I've received. My brother and his wife have been patients here (now they live in Germany), and referred me to this place. My brother's wife is German and had a difficult time finding a dentist she liked in Michigan until she finally came here. I trust her opinion so I decided to check it out myself. I'm glad I did because I can finally say "I have a great Dentist"! Been searching for 10 plus years. Dr. Reema is wonderful! I've had to have several fillings done. She's very gentle and every filling I've had with her has been painless and perfect. She's also very sweet and personable. The hygienist always does a great job too! I've been meaning to write a review for some time and after yet another great appointment yesterday, I decided it was finally time: Dr. Darcianne Leahy is simply the best dentist I have ever seen. I have required several cavity fillings since I began seeing her and each time I have left the office thoroughly impressed by her skill. She is friendly and confident and willing to take the time to make me feel comfortable, answering any questions I've had. She and her assistant also work quickly and efficiently together so I am not in the chair a minute longer than necessary. They also seem to enjoy working together and their relaxed approach helps me to feel calm. Most importantly, I personally view her as an expert in her ability to thoroughly numb the teeth she is working on and she takes the time to ensure the filling is shaped properly to not effect my bite afterwards. I don't think it needs to be said how invaluable this skill is. I am satisfied with the service I have received from the office staff and the dental hygienists, and I have also had positive interactions with Dr. Silber (though I have never seen him for a procedure), but Dr. Leahy is the reason I highly recommend this office. read more

I love this dental office! That's right - the office, not just the dentist, although Dr. Silber is top notch. Every time that I have contacted them for an appointment if I was having pain, they have been able to get me in ASAP. I am sort of squeamish about the dentist and these folks have always been really understanding of that. I started going to this office last year and at first was happy with them. However at my visit last week I had a less than optimal experience. Normally I wouldn't post on here but after several calls asking to speak to the office manager that were not returned I felt this was a last resort. I was brought back by the hygienist and instructed which room to enter. When I did, I saw someone was in there cleaning. I hesitated but the hygienist told me to proceed. I sat in the chair and when I looked in the small sink next to it, there was the bloody gum tissue/saliva of the previous patient. The woman cleaning apologized, stating "she brought you back too quickly." She immediately began pouring cups of water down the drain to remove the tissue. The hygienist said "you can just leave it. It doesn't bother me and I'm sure it doesn't bother her (referencing me)." At this point, I spoke up and assured her that it did in fact bother me. And this really did bother me. I could have been left in the waiting room for 5 more minutes while the room was adequately cleaned. I would have preferred that. When I'm at any doctors office, I expect the room I walk into to be clear of any previous patients' bodily fluids and I don't think that's asking too much. I work in healthcare as well and would never bring a patient back to a room that was not clean. I wanted to talk to the office manager before posting anything but again my calls were not returned. read more

I gladly drive from Wixom to Royal Oak to see Dr Silber And his very competent staff. I am a terrible patient and they do everything to make me comfortable. When I have had to go to a periodontist or ar an oral surgeon, I have been referred to dentists who have been kind and gentle also. read more

I have been a patient of doctor Silber's for 20 years or more. Not sure what changed in their attitudes but the way I have been treated there has really been unfair. I have had many procedures there and have alway paid my bill until one day they started having me pay up front and even calling the insurance company in front of me to see how much was covered. I have not been going there since 2015 and I am no receiving false bills from them when I don't go there and they are telling me I owe them money. I called to talk with someone in charge and I was told to have a nice fu***** life. The atmosphere is not pleasant and the staff is very unprofessional. I was on the fence about whether or not I wanted to continue being a patient here, then my appointment today (almost) happened. My issues with this office before were varied - 1) I know this might seem stupid, but the office is half the size it should be. The waiting room is tiny, you WILL sit two inches away from a stranger. The exam rooms are even worse, they cannot fit three adults. If you are even slightly phobic about space, I am serious, do not go to this office and 2) Perhaps I wouldn't be so hung up about how small the waiting room was, if I wasn't spending SO much time in there. I had a cleaning last Tuesday (April 17) - they called the day before asking to move my appointment from 5:30 to 5. I said yes and showed up at 5pm on the 17th, only to wait until 5:20 before being called back. An office employee apologized to the woman next to me for her long wait. I guess mine didn't merit one. So glad I changed my time at their request. 3) More minor, but if something in life comes up and you need to reschedule a cleaning....hope you wanted to wait an extra three months...no accommodations! So I was already not really pleased with this office, then I went back at 5pm today for fillings. It was the usual long, crowded wait in their lobby. But then the office employee calls me to the back for a moment (it was 5:15, I recall being shocked I wasn't waiting their standard 20-30 minutes) to ask me if I could pay my copay before going back. I was insulted, here's why: I owe them no money/my account is completely up to date. I have good dental coverage. I've always worked out payment plans with them, as needed, in years past. I have NEVER had them ask me this in the three years I've been their patient. But suddenly, now I'm being embarrassed in front of a lobby full of people? To what end? I told her I couldn't pay it. That was a lie, but I knew in that moment that I and my husband were done ever giving this place business. I said, "If I need to reschedule, I will but I don't have it." She responded, "You don't even have $156?" Imagine if that was true. Think how terrible she just would have made me feel in front of at least 8 strangers. She then said she "could go ask him" and told me to wait. That's not a humiliating thing to do to someone, only to come back and tell them "That won't work out so we'll need to reschedule." Nah, we need to find me a new dentist. So, I'm done with Bradley Silber DDS. I already wasn't a huge fan, then they get rude with me over my paid-in-full, non-delinquent account with its active coverage. Maybe there's a reason he can't keep a second dentist in that office. On a positive ending note, the office staff and the doctors themselves were always very polite and friendly. Even the woman today was in no way snotty or rude, I was just aghast that they would do that, as they did it, and seemingly out of the blue. Possibly a new office policy (?) of theirs to do this, but if that's the case, I will simply no longer give them my/my spouse's business or positive word of mouth. Good tactic, guys. read more

Don't go here...busy, long waits for appointments, rude staff, and they constantly refer you away to specialists

This dentist office has been nothing but headaches from the beginning. They have billed me incorrectly time after time after time. They failed to return phone calls. They put you on hold for obscene amounts of time. Some of the people in the office are just plain rude! They have lost my chart several times- once they found it after it fell behind the desk for about a year. They have performed procedures on me that are not covered by my insurance- TWICE, even though I requested that they inform me if they are wanting to do something that would be outside of my insurance coverage. They have billed me for procedures, and when I call they have no idea what the bill is for. They have performed x-rays which I'm told by my new dentist are unnecessary. When I called to complain about these x-rays which were not covered by my insurance (once they were finally able to tell me what the bill was for...) they responded by telling me they were going to send my bill to a collections agency. Dr. Silber is nothing but friendly and I believe to be a very capable dentist, but I definitely think he needs to consider getting a new staff. I would never recommend this office unless you wish to put up with his very rude and very disorganized staff. The best decision I ever made was switching to a new dentist. read more

I was a new patient in for a cleaning after about 2-3 years without a seeing a dentist. The cleaning was fine - no complaints. My problem is with Dr. Leahy. After briefly reviewing my x-rays, and after a very quick physical look through with her tools, Dr. Leahy told me I had "a lot" of cavities. She didn't specify to me where or how many. I am extremely diligent with my oral hygiene, and have never had a cavity before, so when I saw all the areas of "decay" she noted on her sheet, some of them "major," I began to panic. The hygienist jokingly said "Oh you gave her her first cavities," and to that the Dr. rudely responded "No, she gave them to herself." She proceeded to tell me that I probably nurse my beverages and snack too often, without any further explanation or clarification. Upon checking out, I finally found out she had "identified" cavities in NINE different teeth. I truly could not believe that, and went for a second opinion a week later. The new dentist I saw got ahold of the exact same x-rays and did not identify A SINGLE cavity that she noted. He poked around in my mouth for a good half hour and ended up finding two obvious cavities in my front teeth (he showed me with a mirror) that would have never shown up on an x-ray. I understand that every dentist has a different philosophy on fillings, but this seems downright unethical and potentially illegal. If I would have trusted her, imagine the unnecessary stress, pain, and costs I would have endured! I don't know if she was trying to scam me or is just completely incompetent, but I recommend every new patient to STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DENTIST if you have any affinity for your natural teeth!! read more

one of the worse doctors i been through, he made filling then after two weeks he told me i need root canal because he made a mistake by drilling too much, he did not even help to provide a discount for the root anal procedure. he is just about the money trying to charge the insurance money, i hope no one else go through what i've been through with Dr Silber. read more
