Underwent an excision surgery with Dr. Mudge in 2020. I was left with a large indent in my forehead roughly the size of a quarter. I was promised a 'small, white dot' scar and was left with much worse. My self esteem was greatly impacted. For years I had to be embarrassed by my face because of skin condition and past doctors either gave me no hope or jerked me around and never got anything done. Two years ago I was referred to Dr. Mudge to remove a BCC from the tip of my nose in a MOHS procedure. Rather than going slice by slice, he melon-balled my nose-tip, taking a good chunk of cartilage with it. He told me when it healed I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. He disfigured me and lied to my (newly disfigured) face about it. I have just paid a plastic surgeon (out of pocket) to fix my nose. He was horrified that Dr. Mudge had gone so deep with only one pass. "He seems lazy" is what my plastics guy said. I agree. Steer clear from this lazy butcher. read more

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I was referred to Dr. Mudge by a client at my work. He was the fifth (and final) consult I had gone to in my search for a plastic surgeon. It took no time at all for me to realize that this was the surgeon for me! His front-office staff is wonderful - helpful, attentive, supportive and excited to help in any way they can. They truly made me feel like I was their number one patient and every interaction (in person, over the phone, etc) was always pleasant. I am so thankful for Dr. Mudge and his whole team! I honestly had the best experience all the way thru surgery. I am currently 1 week out post op from an implant removal/ lift. I was an extremely nervous patient yet determined to have my 12 year old implants removed. Dr. Mudge & Leanne (his wife) were just amazing! Dr. Mudge was very informative and attentive during my 1st consultation yet very laid back. Good vibes all around! After our first meeting I decided to schedule my surgery asap. I was surprised to read these reviews as all of the other reviews on Dr. Mudge have been so positive and in my experience so far, I have had only positive things happen. I was impressed with the time he spent explaining to me and my husband about the procedure that would take place. I also spent over 30 minutes on the phone going over the procedure, before and after surgery information, etc with the office staff who clearly were willing to answer any question I had. They were so helpful and friendly. I have had a great experience here with laser tattoo removal!! I have a tattoo that I regret and as I get older, this tattoo really bothers me. Janelle and Angela were very professional and knowledgeable about the process, as well as helping to calm my nerves. The treatments are quick and easy and I was able to notice the tattoo fading significantly after just one treatment. While on vacation in Orange County for the holidays, my 4 year old son had an accident 2 days before Xmas which resulted in a severe laceration on his forehead. We ended up in the emergency room at Hoag Irvine. It was the first time in my life I had ever been to an ER. A million emotions and concerns filled my mind in those minutes including the concern that my son receive the best possible care. Due to the location of the laceration, I requested the ER doctor call a plastic surgeon to do the stitches. Of course, I was worried how my 4 year old would receive this doctor, how he's going to give him anesthesia let alone do the stitches. Within 40 minutes of being called, "Dr. Brad" (as he introduced himself to my son) arrived and greeted us. His bedside manner with myself but more important my son was AMAZING! He was so patient and kind. As you might imagine, it was not an easy task trying to treat a 4 year old but we are so lucky to have had "Dr. Brad". I also appreciated the fact he called me a couple days after the incident to check on my son. In fact, my son was so excited when I told him I talked to "Dr. Brad"!! Dr. Mudge's compassion and professionalism is truly unique and I would recommend him to anyone! I just want to say that Dr. Mudge and his staff were extremely helpful and did everything to make me feel comfortable and taken care of. My husband was kept informed of the complete tummy tuck procedure and yes my insurance paid for skin removal but I paid to get a full tummy tuck. I look and feel fabulous and would recommend Dr. Mudge to any of my friends family even a stranger as his work and his staff did an outstanding job. After many years of very heavy breast causing back, neck and shoulder problems, I finally got approved to see a plastic surgeon through my insurance. I was referred to Dr. Mudge and he was very nice and seemed to really know his stuff. Now, it's my fault for not doing my homework, but I am going to tell you my experience. When the ladies in the office couldn't get their paperwork and approval process straight without me hounding them over and over and over, and I continually asked, no hounded them, for before and after photos of his work, but was DENIED, I should have known right then and there to run...fast!! After everything FINALLY came through and I was scheduled for surgery, I was ecstatic. Surgery day came and after surgery I was in excruciating pain, for a few months. I had to drive back and forth to see Dr. Mudge (an hour drive each way) every week for over a month because my right breast was torn with a huge hole by the sutures. Dr. Mudge put staples all across the bottom of my breasts and left them there for over a month. After reading up on what other plastic surgeons use to close up the breasts, I only found a couple who actually used staples and only in some cases and only recommended leaving them on for a week, not over a month!! Now I have Frankenstein scars! Dr. Mudge nor his staff EVER told me what I should and shouldn't be doing after surgery, I had to ask all the questions because thankfully, I knew someone who had it done before. Dr. Mudge never explained to me why my right breast looked like he got impatient with the scalpel and just ripped my breast open. Now I know that reduction is not perfect, but not only are my scars atrocious, one of my areolas was cut too small and almost looks like a half moon and my nipples are VERY noticeably uneven. Dr. Mudge never seemed to really care much at all once the process was complete. Every single time I went in for an appointment, the gal, and I think her name was Crystal, would show me to my room and say, so your here for a fill right? Ummmm, no, for the hundredth time, I had a reduction, not an augmentation!! She blamed the office when I scheduled my appointment, the office blamed her, for not knowing what I was actually there for. On 9/16/15, I had my year post surgery check up, 4 months late due to the office forgetting to get an approval for my appointment...I had to call 4 times in order for someone to actually do their job. I still have hard lumps in my breast but Dr. Mudge just recommended a mammogram. His parting words to me were...Oh, since I'm not going to see you again, I need to get an "after" picture...we did take a before one right? When I said that yes we did, he stopped, pondered for a moment and said, oh never mind, we don't need an after picture. Well I'm not surprised, I wouldn't show my finished product either if I mutilated someone! Please do your homework and beware of this surgeon. read more

Dr Mudge left me with a huge 1 1/2" depressed scar on my back when he took off a mole, only to find out the test was negative. He should have taken a small biopsy and then had back if there was more to remove. I hope he's changed his ways. read more

He has been very thorough and explains to me what is going on every step of the way and how to take care of her! He is also a very nice and friendly guy! All I can say is do your research!! This Dr will act like he knows what hes talking about just to get a check, when really he has no experience in the procedure, had surgery by him and just like someone below he left frankenstien scars on me that ruined my nipples... you can see the staple inprint. Day after surgery tried to schedule a follow up and no answer or call back, he basically ruined my body and took my money.. I would do anything in the world to go back in time and not have surgery by this Dr.. This was years ago just never wrote a review but the scars are still haunting me. my fault for being young and trusting him, acting like he knows what he is talking about and not doing my research... And I remember while I was being put under.. the Anesthesiologist making fun of my tattoos.. I hope this review stops someone making the mistake I did. read more

Dr. Mudge is a really great doctor and I have had nothing but positive experiences with him and his staff. Every time I come to this office it is always a wonderful experience. It starts with his amazing staff that he has working there, they are very professional on the phone and in person I am greeted every time I check in which is refreshing! I came in to see Dr. Mudge for a breast augmentation and he listened to my concerns, and answered all my questions clearly. He made me feel so comfortable with which size of implant I should get for my body type and overall he has such a great bedside manner. I am so so happy with my breast augmentation results and have since referred my family and friends to see him and they have had nothing but positive experiences wth Dr. Mudge! This office is also very thorough with pre and post op surgery instructions and are always available if any question comes to mind. It gave me such a sense of comfort knowing that Dr. Mudge and his staff were there for me. I have also had the micro needle procedure done and the IPL (intense pulse light laser) there with his physician assistant and I am very happy with the results and also felt very comfortable with the PA. Dr. Mudge wife Leanne is not only rude but obviously ignorant to the power of social media. This woman single handedly is counter productive to all her husband does and apparently doesn't care. I had the worst patient services experience with her than I've ever had in life! 1) She called me at 5:12 the day before my scheduled procedure yelling at me because tests were needed before they could proceed! 2) She repeatedly downplayed the importance of my procedure continuously saying it was "elective" or "not a priority" when my insurance deemed it medically necessary! 3) once she put me through all these tests, SHE BOLDLY LIED and said I had to wait for the anesthesiologist to approve my procedure because I was " a very high risk" according to the cardiologists clearance letter, when the Cardiologist Said I was "low risk" THEN when I called her on these mistakes she got angry and 4) told me she was canceling my procedure all together and recommended I see another surgeon! She actually thought her opinion of a surgeon carried weight! THATS THE LAST OFFICE I WOULD EVER GO TO! The most egregious thing she did though was 5) when my medical plan (HMO) was switching names she said "well to ensure we get paid even though it's an approved service, you'll need to bring the $200 consultation visit co pay with you" and I have insurance!!! I'm glad to say he lost my business and its SOLELY because of my dealings with his wife Leanne! I WILL NEVER PAY TO BE DISRESPECTED! Dr mudge did a breast reduction and lift on me ! I chose him due to a referral from a friend ... we discussed the reduction and lift !! I wanted to be smaller due to a back injury . Coming out and recovering from surgery I realized he had made an incision on both sides way longer than any breast reductions I had looked at on line . He stated it was the only way to make me smaller . After healing I had gone from a 34 G to a 34 DDD I was asking for a D or DD.. as I healed my left breast was hanging so far to the left that when I wore my bra you could see my whole nipple ... after 3 consults with 3 different doctors they suggested I ask him to please fix me... so a year later he agreed to just move the implant and do lipo on the sides where he had cut too far over ... my left breast is a bit more centered but where I had lipo is obvious and bumpy ... my breasts still are not normal shape.... I've done more research and would tell anyone looking for a reduction and lift to go to a breast specialist and not a plastic surgeon ... not a happy patient read more
