Dr. Wirth was highly recommended by another surgeon I worked with. I am beyond happy with my results on 2 procedures with Wirth Plastic Surgery. Dr. Wirth is a highly skilled surgeon who has all of the latest evidence based research on surgery and healing protocol, he is also super friendly. He was actually on his way to speak at a conference right after our last appointment. The front desk staff are exceptional, very friendly and always make you feel like a million bucks. The two procedures I had were injuries I received through sports. The initial injury was a split above my eye from a head butt I received from a competition in Philadelphia. I flew home to make it within with 24 hours to receive treatment from Dr. Wirth, and so glad I did since the cut required 2 layers of stitches (I believe the muscular layer and the top skin layer). Had I gone to the ER for this procedure, I would have had a pretty bad result. I also recently underwent rhinoplasty after many years of sporting nose breaks. I recently had a partial mastectomy and Dr. Wirth conducted my breast reconstruction surgery. During my consultation visit, Dr Wirth took the time to explain all the options I had available to me, he answered all my questions and together we crafted a customized plan tailored just for me. Since I have large dense breasts, I opted to have breast reduction with breast lift surgery. I went from a size D to a B cup and couldn't be more thrilled with the results. My breasts went from being large and droopy to small and perky. Since surgery, Ive also noticed a marked improvement in my posture. If you are considering Dr. Wirth as your plastic surgeon know that you are going to get someone who is going to take the time to listen to you and explain all of your options before creating a plan specific to you. Additionally, his entire care team is wonderful from the receptionists to the physicians assistants. I'm so sad to be writing this because the staff is so great, but Dr. Wirth has really dropped the ball. I got cheek injections to compensate for an issue I had and he overfilled, by a LOT, my left side. He handed me a mirror mid-way through and I said I thought the left was bigger than the right. He disagreed and filled even more on the left. Four days later it was so obvious that my face was noticeably uneven that I went back for him to see me. He said it was swollen, but he could add more to the other side for more money. It's been 6 weeks now, it's not swollen, it's overfilled and not close to an even appearance. I emailed them explaining that it wasn't swollen, it was very uneven, and I thought Dr. Wirth should fix the problem he created, gratis. Crickets. Don't question Dr. Wirth, he has a "perfection" issue, and can't see past it to be helpful when he isn't perfect. Sorry, but it's true. read more

Dr Wirth is the Absolute best Plastic Surgeon ever! 11 years ago I had to have a double mastectomy with reconstruction at UC Irvine, Chao Cancer Center. Dr Wirth did the reconstructian/plastic surgery and ends up there is a Tram Flap Type where he took fat from my stomach and put it on my chest. There was a lot of detail work with cutting hip to hip through fat and under muscle 17 hours worth between the Drs removing the breasts and Dr Wirth fixing the mess that was left of my chest, but I ended up with not not only no cancer but a tummy tuck and new breasts. I'm sooo pleased! I had never had any "work done" before, so I was unsure what to expect, but the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I was able to complete paperwork online prior to my visit, and I was glad to see everyone wearing masks (I obviously took mine off for procedures). The waiting room was calming and lovely. The doctor saw me right away and he was authentic and professional, and his staff were engaged and personable. They wanted to give me exactly what I wanted, and Dr. Wirth & co did just that! He played David Bowie for me to help me feel comfortable (haha) and also kept talking to me while doing the injections to take my mind off the pain, which isn't bad at all. The consultation, Botox and lip fillers took less than an hour! And I left feeling all that self empowerment I was hoping for! Don't take an NSAID like Advil beforehand like I did, bc it can cause bruising, but mine was still very minimal! I went in on Thursday and I am writing this on Sunday, and since then there has been a little tenderness and swelling in my lips, but that was expected and not terrible at all. Dr. Wirth is a miracle worker! My husband had surgery to repair an umbilical hernia and it went terribly wrong. He ended up having 2 additional surgeries, the last one on April 21st and was left with a huge hole in his stomach that could not be stitched up. We were in the process of moving from WA to CA so when we got to Long Beach I started looking for a wound care doctor. We had our first appt. on May 10th and from the first time we met with him he and his staff were amazing - they got him on a wound vac immediately and what could have taken 6 months to heal took 6 weeks! The nurses were wonderful too - they dealt with the home health care folks that sent a nurse to our house 3 times a week to check on us and change the dressings. They dealt with the Wound Vac company to get it shipped and also ordered all the supplies that we needed and had them shipped to our house.
