DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I paid Dillon for new parts and service, and never received the new parts, a…read moreresponse, or a project completion. I paid the asking price for buying the parts and installing them (new front and rear brakes, front and rear rotors, windshield wipers) for one vehicle, and a throttle body (part only at that point) for another vehicle. NEVER repaired the throttle body. Removed it, 2 other parts were broken during the removal process, left that vehicle in parts in my yard with the engine cover missing. Then stated he would need to take the entire rear part of my motor off (and maybe another part), it would be a 2 day job, he needed to order a part that could only be purchased from the manufacturer, that part would take 2 weeks to arrive, would cost $2000 due to tariffs, and he could get it all finished for 2500-2800 when parts arrived. I questioned the continued increase in the price and was told it was because of tariffs and no place has the plastic part only the manufacturer. ALL of that regarding the necessary parts or how to fix the throttle body was incorrect. I ordered new parts for the ones that were broken (they were not broken before the old throttle body was removed) for less than $200, and the repair was done in a couple of hours for no where near what Dillon was stating he would charge. NEVER replaced any rotor or the front brakes for the other vehicle despite stating the rear rotors were replaced when the rear brakes were replaced. He only replaced the rear brakes (and they started making noise less than a week later--never made any noise prior and I stated I needed brakes and rotors based on my visual inspection of them and that is how i knew the rotors were never replaced--I looked the following morning). Stated there are 2 different types of front brakes for my vehicle, and he purchased the wrong ones despite entering the VIN in to search for parts. That also is incorrect--you type the vehicle information into the system, and there are different brands for brakes, but not different types (he said one type had 2 prongs and the other had 3 prongs). He stated that if I paid him for the parts (and he showed me some price list on his phone), he would drive to my work the next morning and repair my brakes so that I could get it inspected on the way home from work. That never happened. I never heard anything until after I sent emails and texts stating I was very concerned because I paid for the parts and install, but had not heard anything. Hours later he responded and stated he would be heading my way after he finished an alternator job. He never came or responded again that day/evening. I reached out again the following day inquiring about when the work would be done since I had paid for the parts and install already. He came late that day and then only "replaced" the rear brakes, but said rear brakes and rotors were replaced. After not repairing the brakes and rotors as paid for, he told me to take my vehicle to a shop in Churchville for a state inspection since the person working there "knew his [Dillon's] work and doesn't really check anything for the inspections, so it will be a guaranteed pass and will save you in the long run". I just want a refund for the parts and services I paid for and never received or give me the parts that I paid for and never received and refund for the install fee that was paid upfront as asked. They do not respond to texts or emails and the voicemail is full, so you cannot leave a message.

In mid December my son's car was parked at his apartment in, Harrisonburg and wouldn't start. We…read moresearched on Yelp for mobile mechanics and found Dillon at Blueridge Mechanic. He was willing to come out in the dark cold night to repair my son's car. Unfortunately he couldn't fix it that night because a major part had to be ordered. Since it was close to Christmas we had to wait for the part. The part arrived after Christmas and Dillon came back out and installed the part. Dillon had the car up and running in no time. It is almost mid January and the car is doing good! Dillon not only fixed the car, but the compassion he showed towards my son and family was genuine. Dillon is not your average mechanic. He is very knowledgeable and caring. I will recommend him to anyone. Thank you Dillon for your time and hard work.

Young and out of state, I was petrified when my car broke down at night on the highway. However,…read morewhen NKD towing told me they were coming to rescue me the next morning, not only did they provide a hasty and efficient towing service, but their presence exuded a much-needed sense of calm. NKD was very flexible with where they took my car, adapting to a last-minute request as to where my car was to be towed, because I did not trust the closest auto shop Allstate had recommended. Additionally, NKD recommended me another auto shop that was as amicable and human as the towing service they provide themselves. When I asked for a recommendation, NKD could have easily betrayed my trust and conceived a malicious deal with an auto shop far away to profit off my misfortune, like many other tow companies. BUT they DIDN'T; instead, they called numerous local auto shops, to make sure my car would be assessed soon and recommended me their own personal mechanic, an action in which I harbor appreciation. And even though the new auto shop was farther than the original destination, NKD charged me the same price. All can recall youthful periods in their life in which they were less wealthy and perceived the world beyond the confines of familiarity as nebulous and foreign. Nevertheless, despite my expounding fears, NKD assured me they would take care of me, and they did. With NKD, I felt that I was dealing with a moral and empathetic person rather than a corporation. If one ever experiences automotive troubles along Interstate 81 between Lexington and Harrisonburg, I cannot imagine a better towing company than NKD towing.

I'm advising everyone I know DO NOT USE NKD TOWING out of Waynesboro, Virginia. My 19-year-old son…read morewas broke down on 81 in Staunton right on the 220 exit ramp. He called State police because he was scared and they arrived and told him that he needed to get it off the road as soon as possible. They called the towing company for him and then the State Trooper left. NKD showed up and charged my son !!$405!! to tow his Jeep Grand Cherokee from the exit ramp to Autozone, A MILE AND A HALF!! After being questioned by my insurance company and myself, they stated that it was an emergency tow, mind you it was 2 PM, on a weekday, on a perfectly sunny day. It's not an emergency when there's no accident, he wasn't blocking any lanes, it wasn't a weekend or a holiday and he was completely out of the way of traffic. NKD towing saw a vulnerable young man with JMU college stickers all over the back of his Jeep and they took complete advantage of him. My son is rising Junior at JMU and works two jobs on top of being a full time student! This company clearly practices predatory business tactics and takes advantage when they can. I have started the process with the Attorney General's office to have their towing procedures and fees investigated. I only took this step after my insurance company informed me that they also thought that price was completely outrageous and that it should not have been anywhere near that. They would only reimburse a certain amount to which their standard would cover because the man charged him way outside of what a standard tow should be. Southside Towing and Services in Waynesboro, VA quoted $100 for that tow. Tumbleweed Towing in Grottoes, VA quoted $120 for that tow. So tell me why my son was charged $405 for a mile and a half tow...
