I recently visited Fred Anderson Toyota of Greer while shopping for a used Prius and had a mixed…read moreexperience. The staff were polite and respectful, but there were several issues with transparency and communication that made the process frustrating. Initially, I was sent photos of a different (new) vehicle than the used one listed online, and I noticed the VINs didn't match. I pointed this out, but it wasn't corrected until I was already in talks about pricing. After negotiating what seemed to be a fair price, I began my more than 2-hour drive to the dealership. About 20 minutes into the drive, I was informed that the vehicle in question was not the Limited trim but an LE--explaining a $6,000 price difference. At that point, they offered to discount a new Limited model by a few thousand dollars, saying the price difference between it and the used one would be around $3,000. That sounded reasonable--until I arrived and saw that the discount hadn't really been applied in a meaningful way. I also inquired about the college graduate incentive, and again, the total financed amount remained unchanged. It felt like discounts were being mentioned but not truly reflected in the numbers. My final MSRP ended up being about $37,000 before trade-in and down payment--higher than expected based on our conversations. To add some irony, the dealership advertises a 3-day, 150-mile return policy, which barely covers my round trip to the dealership. It's a nice gesture, but not very practical for out-of-town buyers like me. I did end up getting the car I wanted--although it wasn't fully loaded--and I'm happy with it overall. Still, I wish the process had been more upfront and accurate from the start. If you're shopping here, I'd recommend double-checking all the details before making the drive

The experience we had at Toyota of Greer makes me never want to go back to a dealership again. The…read moresalesman was WAY too pushy, and would not accept no as an answer. We had been very clear in our intentions of our visit--to test drive a 4Runner so we could get the feel of how they drive. He then proceeded to run the numbers on the vehicle we test drove which we had told him several times we were not interested in purchasing. We did not feel heard whatsoever, and then he proceeded to come and knock on our car door once we had left the dealership to try to get us to come back inside and lease a 2026. We had been very blunt about our budget, and I wanted nothing more than to get out of there as quick as possible. I will NEVER be returning to Toyota of Greer, and I think the company needs to think about who they're actually hiring to represent them--very unimpressive.

They've consistently shown up for teachers in our community, giving back in incredible ways. Seriously--how many companies do you know that have invested thousands of dollars to support educators? That kind of generosity speaks volumes. When it's time for your next vehicle, make sure you check them out. Go see them--you won't regret it!

Saw a $6,000 car for $150 a month? When you ask they laugh at you and tell you no one can but a car for that. But it's in their ad? Then they'll show you two cars, one of which you can't finance and one that's $10,000 over what you want to spend. They will humiliate you if you say you can't afford it. Then the lovely salesperson will explain to you how you can get a loan from your house so you can pay for the car. The car wouldn't start two days after we bought it. We've called for a week. All we get is "Were working on it and will call you back" They never call back. I've called the DOT who pulled and then sent me reports on the car No bueno On to the fraud department, sigh Thank goodness the federal government cares because this dealership doesn't You'd be better off buying a used matchbox car from goodwill

Called the service manager she said it's probably because I was going up the hill. 6 hours later on my way back to work from break car loss power again. Then went into limp mode. Then engine light came on. I sent an email and called. They came and got the car the next day on Thursday. I had to keep calling for updates. No one ever called to keep me posted. Every morning I woke up I checked to see if they called. Fast forward to next Friday (today) I called and asked about the status. Service manager said the car has been ready and that they tried to call. I have no missed calls from the dealership. I asked what was wrong with the car she said a "sensor". Picked the car up and made the trip back to Asheville again (1 hour). 30 minutes into the trip engine light came on again. Car lost complete power. Could not go past 60. Then 40. Then 30. They lied to me about the cars condition when I bought it, and they lied to me about fixing the car when I came and got it today. I asked for my money back from the very first day the light came on. The car is under warranty. I call and ask for a manager I keep getting the run around, or sent to voicemail. Do not go here. Deal Depot of Greer South Carolina.

My daughter bought a car from them and it spends more time on the side of the road than actual driving on the road. The only reason she is keeping it is because I cosigned and she doesn't want to mess up my credit. I feel bad for her because she has 3 small children and is constantly paying for repairs, on top of her trying to make her payments. I'm leaving out details out of respect for her, but she has receipts.
