I recently visited Fred Anderson Toyota of Greer while shopping for a used Prius and had a mixed…read moreexperience. The staff were polite and respectful, but there were several issues with transparency and communication that made the process frustrating. Initially, I was sent photos of a different (new) vehicle than the used one listed online, and I noticed the VINs didn't match. I pointed this out, but it wasn't corrected until I was already in talks about pricing. After negotiating what seemed to be a fair price, I began my more than 2-hour drive to the dealership. About 20 minutes into the drive, I was informed that the vehicle in question was not the Limited trim but an LE--explaining a $6,000 price difference. At that point, they offered to discount a new Limited model by a few thousand dollars, saying the price difference between it and the used one would be around $3,000. That sounded reasonable--until I arrived and saw that the discount hadn't really been applied in a meaningful way. I also inquired about the college graduate incentive, and again, the total financed amount remained unchanged. It felt like discounts were being mentioned but not truly reflected in the numbers. My final MSRP ended up being about $37,000 before trade-in and down payment--higher than expected based on our conversations. To add some irony, the dealership advertises a 3-day, 150-mile return policy, which barely covers my round trip to the dealership. It's a nice gesture, but not very practical for out-of-town buyers like me. I did end up getting the car I wanted--although it wasn't fully loaded--and I'm happy with it overall. Still, I wish the process had been more upfront and accurate from the start. If you're shopping here, I'd recommend double-checking all the details before making the drive

The experience we had at Toyota of Greer makes me never want to go back to a dealership again. The…read moresalesman was WAY too pushy, and would not accept no as an answer. We had been very clear in our intentions of our visit--to test drive a 4Runner so we could get the feel of how they drive. He then proceeded to run the numbers on the vehicle we test drove which we had told him several times we were not interested in purchasing. We did not feel heard whatsoever, and then he proceeded to come and knock on our car door once we had left the dealership to try to get us to come back inside and lease a 2026. We had been very blunt about our budget, and I wanted nothing more than to get out of there as quick as possible. I will NEVER be returning to Toyota of Greer, and I think the company needs to think about who they're actually hiring to represent them--very unimpressive.

We went to the dealership Saturday afternoon.  We found a truck that she liked. It was just what…read moreshe wanted.  The Finance manager (I forget his name) convinced us to hang around and talk and see what we could work out.  I explained my needs and the budget in which I was working.  He felt confident we could come to an agreement.  I gave our sales guy BJ (really good guy, he has done nothing wrong here) our info, he pulled my credit score (was no secret I explained my credit score to start with.. there were no surprises).   After waiting for more than half an hour (we had already expressed we were short on time) The finance manager comes back to talk with us. He explains that he will send my information to SC State Credit Union to see about a loan for me.  He explains he uses them regularly, and they financed him and his contact there, Carol, was great.  I said go ahead and if we can get numbers back where we like them (I already knew where things needed to be and felt confident we could make a deal) that I would be up there LAST night to work out the minor details and buy a vehicle from your dealership.  He had asked that I call Carol to go on and give her permission to run my credit- which I did Monday morning.  She emailed me back that she had not received my information.   I texted our sales guy BJ who said he was sorry that the information didn't get sent over yesterday but assured me it would sent over shortly. It finally was but no surprise they weren't able to approve me. I texted our sales guy back and let him know but I was still interested in doing business. He said great. Nothing else that day. Nothing Wednesday until around 530 when the finance manager called while I was still at work asking if I was still interested and to let him know (this is the opposite of what the sales guy had said which was he was working on me). I text him back letting him know I definitely still am interested. I hear nothing until around noon when I get a call from him. Through the conversation he makes it clear he hasn't even looked at my stuff as he says he has to reacclimate himself with it. He encouraged me to put my fiancee on the app to see if that would help and he would know within 10 minutes...so we give her information and he says he will let us know soon... 3 hours passed... Nothing... So we went and bought a truck somewhere else... For a dealership that claims to want my business they were not aggressive and seemed to not care about my business at all. Oh well. Their loss.

I've never been to a car dealership where I actually felt like the sales people were actually wanting to help me instead of just selling me a car until now. I live in Virginia and was able to order both cars through their website, and was able to coordinate ordering accessories through email. Both Amy and Caleb give me courtesy calls to keep me posted on the status and delivery dates. Thank you for the amazing customer service and communication. The level of professionalism and genuine hospitality I received made me feel very welcome-like I was actually a valued customer. I will gladly make the trip to Dick Brooks Honda for future car purchases. THANK YOU AMY, CALEB & ROWINA FOR MAKING EVERYTHING SO EASY, AND THANK YOU TO DICK BROOKS HONDA FOR RUNNING AN EXCELLENT DEALERSHIP!

I will never set foot in their dealership again after the last experience I had there. They told me I needed to replace the front control arms on my Ridgeline because the bushings were torn. Dick Brooks Honda wanted me to pay approximately $2000 for unnecessary work. I no longer trust Dick Brooks.
