This was the most horrible experience buying anything ever. They will NOT show you anything from their website because they don't have it. It's just a way to bait you in. Saw a $6,000 car for $150 a month? When you ask they laugh at you and tell you no one can but a car for that. But it's in their ad? Then they'll show you two cars, one of which you can't finance and one that's $10,000 over what you want to spend. They will humiliate you if you say you can't afford it. Then the lovely salesperson will explain to you how you can get a loan from your house so you can pay for the car. The car wouldn't start two days after we bought it. We've called for a week. All we get is "Were working on it and will call you back" They never call back. I wish that I could give a half of a star to this dealership! On Wednesday, June 11, at 9:00AM, I took my car to Mitsubish- Greer for a simple alignment. I drove onto the lot with no issue. Was told my car wouldn't even start for them to complete the alignment. Was told it was the starter (would be about $600). After they replaced the starter, said it was not the starter, since it still wouldn't start. Then after waiting for 6 hours, they put me in a loaner (how kind). Next day after a whole day of 'troubleshooting' by the 'lead mechanic' I was told I needed a new PCM, a Mitsubishi one would cost $1400 but we could purchase one on eBay and they would install it for about a total of $1000 to include their troubleshooting time. We rented a car, to have transportation over the weekend and until the PCM arrived and was installed. Over the weekend, we decided we did not want to invest any more money in the car (14 yrs old- although I'd had NO problems with the car until I took it to Greer Mitsubishi other than wear and tear and normal maintenance). We paid them $510 for the 'labor', although no repairs were made and still needed an alignment. We had the car towed at our expense. All to find out there was NOTHING wrong with my car. It would start. They were using the key fob key (fob was bought online and key inside it had not been programmed) instead of the computer chip key. But it was my fault that I had not told them which key to use! Despite the fact that when I initially arrived there, I was taking my key off the ring to give to them and I was told to keep it on the ring. I gave them my whole key ring. So they just assumed and decided to try to use the key inside the key fob. Fortunately they did refund the $510 labor cost, due to their incompetence but would not refund our cost for the rental and towing. So if you ever take your car to them, please be sure to tell them which key to use! Cause clearly the mechanics, especially the lead mechanic, will have no clue. I hope moving forward they ask customers which key should be used! read more

I called yesterday to the Greenville location and was told I will call you back. no call back. even if I didn't get approved someone should have had the decency to call me back instead of leaving me stranded. Horrible company, wouldn't recommend. They treat their employees like garbage and then play games when it comes to their pay! They will lie straight to your face My husband worked there for about 5 months, he left because of how horrible mangement was. He had to fight for over a week To get paid. Melissa Robbins is the HR lady there and lies or will have the front lie for her stating she isn't there. Today, after a week of trying get ahold of her Emails phone calls voicemails and her refusing to respond to anything. I bought a used car and got shit! It needed so much to make it safe! One of the brake pads was falling off of the disk! I had requested Sanchez to check my brakes, he didn't I left there TWICE with an unsafe car! I contacted Jay Gilstrap with everything, and got no answer from him. This one is easy. Greenville Mitsubishi is by far the most dishonest, incompetent auto repair dealership that I've ever encountered. After the original $3,000.00 repair diagnosis, they announced that it would really be another $10,000.00 to repair it properly. So after the $3,000.00 repair, it runs no differently than when I had the vehicle brought in to them. I also insisted on them returning to me the damaged parts. Guess what? They couldn't even do that. So I learned my lesson: Never again will I consider owning a Mitsubishi. And never will I set my eyes on a Gilstrap Family Dealership. My car was there for almost 6 months for a repair. I have never had worse service or been treated with such disrespect. The car was returned to me with items broken (of course it was not their fault or doings), a sub woofer missing (they blamed it on the tow truck driver) What a terrible place to do business. What a horrible way to do business with the service department. Certified mechanics need 3 to 4 tries to get it right. Which never happened now our car is worse off than it was before service got its hands on it.. We've been lied to by the service manager Tobin, we've been lied to by their customer relationships specialist, Greta. I really hope that Jay Gilstrap sees this one star review for the circus of a service department. They will lie to you, they will steal from you, They are the furthest thing from honest I've ever seen. When caught in multiple eyes, the sales manager Tobin just stared at his shoes. He knows that they're at fault. We still have not heard a response back from the service department, manager, customer, relationships, manager, or corporate Mitsubishi. This company is disgraceful and shameful. I have only dealt with them in service.. They have had my car seven times for two issues. Legal action is our next move for sure. If you think you can trust these people. Don't. I've only dealt in a service department, but based on shady tactics, downright lies, and total disrespect or regard for getting back to Customer in a timely manner.. This was the worst car buying experience. we have excellent credit and they took advantage. we traded in 2 decent cars and purchased one new and one used. The used car has been a lemon since we bought it- needed all kinds of maintenance work which we did and have also replaced 3 batteries in 5 months- towed it more than we drove it and multiple mechanics could not figure out the issue! they offered no solutions other than to trade it at over 10k less in just 5 months!! Let me start by saying Daniel was a great guy, and none of this is his fault. The rest of this review is about the dealership as a whole. What an absolute joke. We go to look at two vehicles that are posted on the website, come to find out, they're not on the lot. We get shown a comparable, albeit older, option. Before the test drive, I ask how much this vehicle is and we are informed that it was a recent transfer from another Gilstrap dealership, therefore they don't have a price to give me yet. We take it for a drive, and it actually breaks down before making it back to the dealership. Ok, these things happen. We get a ride back and shown to some seats while Daniel talks to someone, presumably a manager. He comes out with a key and informs us he has one more option. We had a pretty firm price limit, and seeing as this vehicle was much newer than the one we just drove, I figured it had to be more expensive than the limit we had set. Before heading to see the car, I ask the price. I'm informed "I really don't know, it's another transfer." I decide at that moment that we're done looking at cars here. It already felt like a bait and switch with the first two cars, even if that was unintentional. Then on two cars in a row they can't give me a price? That sounds like a ripoff in the making. There is no way to leave a honest review cause I can't use negative stars. I was basically ripped off by these people. I make great money but I don't have credit. I trusted this whole for the people scam!!!!! I bought a car that they told me was inspected and had been maintained for sale. In the way home check engine light came on and I heard a aweful noise in the front end. Next day I went back for them to tell me that if yes your shocks are going out we couldn't fix them. After 4 months the timing chain went out and here I sit over holidays with no car that runs a high interest loan and no way to get to work. They don't offer loaner cars so when your car is awaiting a 4 week at their sweet time working on it. These people do not care to help you get into a good ride they scam you to buy a warranty that doesn't pay to repair anyth ing.a warranty you can't use anywhere but with them. So buying a 14,000 car that has 2400$ need struts bill and then 300 I paid cause the breaks failed 1 week after I took it home. It's been one nightmare after another. No one there wants to help me or do anything to make this right. Please if your looking to actually but a car that is reliable do not buy here. . The commercial saying no sharks well they are piranha not sharks. My husband and I purchased a 2021 vehicle from the Easley location in March 2021. Since then, we have had our car serviced 4 times, the last 3 timesaving their Greenville location off of Woodruff road. Our last visit was very upsetting and disappointing. Apparently, they have lost their good service rep and a manager and has hired complete, incompetent and unprofessional people to fill this void. Our window tint on our windshield was ripped and when I asked the parts manager, Brandon about it, he responded rudely, "tint is known to rip and it should have a warranty on it." He was very forward, proud, and arrogant, believing that his position makes him something special when he is worth nothing at all. Hannah, the new service rep, although so is new to the business, she has a lot to learn, especially being more diligent when it comes to dealing with the customers. I had to repeat myself multiple times, and I specifically told her to tell the technicians to check one of my tires that was plugged, and to turn off my low tire pressure sensor. It went in one ear and out the other, we left with the sensor light still on, they told us that everything was fine, including our plugged tire, and we were good to go. We had to return within 2 days and they later told us that our plugged tire was causing air to seep through and needed to be replaced. Hannah claimed that they didn't check it before although I told them to. I need to do business with honest people. This place of business was good with trying to sell you one of their vehicles. Moreover, far as retaining their customers and meeting their service needs afterwards goes downhill. I have dealt indirectly with Greta and trying to have her address these issues and correct them, what a joke! Until you change the way issues and customers ' concerns are handled and prioritized properly, you will continue to lose customers. read more

We went to the dealership in Hendersonville NC a few months back and found a truck that we liked - salesman said that it would take a little while to set up financing so suggested that we come back later. We went back and they had all the paperwork done but when we went to sign papers - it was a different truck - 5 years older than the one we picked out. Salesman explained that he could get anyone to finance the newer truck - but could get it on a older model? When we went to leave the dealership (without the truck) everyone in the building came out and surrounded us - even sales manager. I called from Rock Hill SC which is an 1 hr. and 45 min drive and spoke to mande which I thought was the one I had worked with previously 2 yrs.ago when I purchased my 2019 outlander sport which she helped me out tremendously getting into and my payments at where I wanted to be, iam financed with ally. I wanted to get into a bigger outlander I asked would my payment go up she said maybe a little that ally likes repeat business and outlanders gas a big rebate after I get there and she presents the numbers the payment was way out ridiculous I said how bout for another new sport she said about $30 more basic model mine is a GT loaded I never saw a finance managers face wow bad business!!!! read more

We went to the hendersonville location and our salesman was very helpful and friendly and we have no complaints about our salesman! And everyone in the service and detail department was great! How ever we purchased the vehicle a week ago and it needed new tires so they said they would replace them at no extra charge so when we went in to have them change the tires they said they had changed who our lein holder was and we needed to sign a new contract meaning our payment went up and so did our intrest rate this was all because the used car manager messed up and put another customer's income on our application and our income on their application so when they sent the bank our income they wouldn't take it. This was a huge hassle and I really wish our experience had been better! We will go back to have vehicles detailed and service done to our vehicles because both service and detail employees are great but we will not buy another vehicle from here. UPDATE: We got a notice saying that the payment was late on the vehicle we traded in so we contacted the dealership to ask when they mailed the payoff check and they said they would be tomorrow. This was almost a month after we traded the vehicle in. Then they proceeded to tell us that they needed a copy of our drivers licenses to get the tag work done so that the tag on the truck could be transferred over to the new vehicle. So for almost a month after trading our old vehicle to our new vehicle they never had the tag transferred over and hadn't payed off our trade in. On top of that the manager Robert Odem was rude to us and asked me to leave his office and we tried to reach him for days to ask if the payoff check had been sent off with no answer so we called the higher up management and even they refused to answer or return our call after calling for four days. I ended up calling the company we had our old vehicle fianced through and they were able to tell me that they didn't even request a payoff until August 25th when we traded vehicles July 27th. Finally on September 4th they paid off our old vehicle and we are done dealing with that place and will never recommend this dealership to anyone and will let everyone know how bad of an experience we had here! read more

We went to the dealership Saturday afternoon.  We found a truck that she liked. It was just what she wanted.  The Finance manager (I forget his name) convinced us to hang around and talk and see what we could work out.  I explained my needs and the budget in which I was working.  He felt confident we could come to an agreement.  I gave our sales guy BJ (really good guy, he has done nothing wrong here) our info, he pulled my credit score (was no secret I explained my credit score to start with.. there were no surprises).   After waiting for more than half an hour (we had already expressed we were short on time) The finance manager comes back to talk with us. He explains that he will send my information to SC State Credit Union to see about a loan for me.  He explains he uses them regularly, and they financed him and his contact there, Carol, was great.  I said go ahead and if we can get numbers back where we like them (I already knew where things needed to be and felt confident we could make a deal) that I would be up there LAST night to work out the minor details and buy a vehicle from your dealership.  He had asked that I call Carol to go on and give her permission to run my credit- which I did Monday morning.  She emailed me back that she had not received my information.   I texted our sales guy BJ who said he was sorry that the information didn't get sent over yesterday but assured me it would sent over shortly. It finally was but no surprise they weren't able to approve me. I texted our sales guy back and let him know but I was still interested in doing business. He said great. Nothing else that day. Nothing Wednesday until around 530 when the finance manager called while I was still at work asking if I was still interested and to let him know (this is the opposite of what the sales guy had said which was he was working on me). I text him back letting him know I definitely still am interested. I hear nothing until around noon when I get a call from him. Through the conversation he makes it clear he hasn't even looked at my stuff as he says he has to reacclimate himself with it. He encouraged me to put my fiancee on the app to see if that would help and he would know within 10 minutes...so we give her information and he says he will let us know soon... 3 hours passed... Nothing... So we went and bought a truck somewhere else... For a dealership that claims to want my business they were not aggressive and seemed to not care about my business at all. Oh well. I went to Gilstrap Greenville Truck Farm Mitsubishi Dealership to get an oil change. They fraudulently changed my transmission fluid because they said it would have voided the warranty if they did not. They charged me $214.50 just for that part. It did NOT need the transmission fluid changed until 48 months or 60,000 miles. My vehicle was 22 months old and had 27,000 miles. They have refused to return my money. DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO YOU! read more

We purchased a 2018 Compass Jeep in June 2019th at the greer location with Bowen Garcia. We were told that it had not been in a wreck and that It was like new, with only 6k miles.... the car started making a noise and it had the automatic start-stop On. We took it back to this location to get it fixed since Bowen told us to do so, but when we got there he said to take it directly to Jeep so we did (again) when we got there they said my car was not covered by the warranty because it was fixes before and that one of the pieces was changed (I just bought it and it was supposed to be new) so, I took it back to Gilstrap and they said that they would take care of it... ir took 20 days to get my car back, and it still making a noise... I've called SEVERAL TIMES to talk to someone about this and no one is returning my calls or taking care of me, at this point I am very frustrated and feel like I will have to look for a lawyer.... so sad that I already made 2 payments on this car and this company can not take responsibility for what they sale! read more
