I rented a 5' x 8' enclosed trailer from the cap stop in North Canton, OH. After picking the…read moretrailer up, I noticed it was towing very rough. I pulled over to inspect it further and saw a completely worn tire with a ridge in it. I immediately called them back and asked for a new tire. I was told I needed to go through their roadside assistance team to get a replacement. After numerous phone calls a service provider came out but didn't have the correct replacement tire even after I sent him a picture and the specs of the tire. I waited another 2 hours for a different provider to come and change the defective tire. The roadside provider advised me not to rent from the smaller uhaul companies like this as they don't routinely perform proper inspections of their equipment. My trip was delayed for over three hours and even more concerning, my family and myself were put at risk. Upon returning the trailer, I asked if the rentals were inspected before they were rented out. I was initially told yes, but after requesting the documentation, I was told there was none and the only inspection is a kick of the tires to make sure they have air in them. The guy I rented it from, Larry D., also refused to refund any of the rental or give me the contact information for his supervisor or the corporate office.

We've taken four different vehicles here and their other store and have had good experiences all around. They don't over-sell anything, don't try to sell unnecessary services, indeed don't really try to sell necessary services, just apprise you of the situation and say what you should do when you decide to address that need. Their website has coupons which they honor and which are quite worthwhile, and others can be found if one looks. Prices are fair employees are respectful and knowledgeable and they get stuff done on time.

I parked the truck in my driveway the day after buying it until I could afford to have it fixed. On day 43,I received a call saying "oh I'm going to get your title work done right now so you can come pick it up and get your plates (45 day tag)." And when I told him to just mail it because the truck is sitting in my driveway with a bad torque convertor and transmission , his response was "at least you have your old truck to drive and save miles, and at least I put a drivetrain warranty on it" When I took it to have the transmission done, it was put on a lift and found that the frame is rusted through.
