Leipold Tire is a family owned company with excellent customer service. They have my complete trust. They treated me and every other customer the same with integrity, professionalism and compassion. I drove over 2 hours to have them check my tires. I told the gentleman that waited on me that I think I need 4 tires. He said, "let's get it up on the rack and inspect and we can figure out what you need." I appreciate the honesty and lack of presumption. I ended up needing 4 tires and he gave me 2 options, 1 was less than the other but the higher had a rebate. I made my decision and I believe I received great value for the tires I bought. As I was waiting, the general manager was updating my address from Cuyahoga Falls to Toledo on his computer. We had a pleasant conversation and he even looked up the village I live in on Google Earth. He even told me about a border dispute between Ohio and Michigan that he saw on the History channel. A place you can trust to only fix what is broken. I fixed my own cars for years. I can rebuild the motors do brakes you name it. Problem is age catches up to a person. Body parts hurt more. It's hard to let places do the work you can do yourself. Took my car to a hood wrench plus once and was quoted $1400 for a brake job. I had just had a spine surgery. They didn't want to give me my car back. Said I had to sign a document saying I understood I was driving a usage vehicle on the road. (It was a free brake inspection). I wouldn't do it just started calling the police because they wouldn't give me my car. They then put it back together and gave me my keys. I fixed it myself. Cost $100 for the part and that part wasn't even in their quote. It was a minivan that kept locking up one wheel when you hit the brakes. (Bad proportioning valve). If you are looking for a truly reliable, honest, and reasonably priced place to buy tires, get a tire rotation, balance or alignment, this is the BEST place!! I discovered them at the recommendation of someone I trust (Dave from Texas Ten) and they have always done an outstanding job for me! I brought my car in for a tire rotation and thought for sure that I needed new tires. When I asked about new tires, they took a thorough look and said I still had a decent tread. Today I brought my car in for an alignment, and when I inquired about rims, despite being incredibly busy with customers and phones ringing off the hook, Ben took the time to answer all of my questions and even provided me with booklets, links to check out online, and so much information! The guys here are really wonderful and do not treat you like a moron or try to take advantage of you by selling things you don't need. When I bought new tires from them, they were honest about all of the various options and prices available. They asked how long I plan to keep my car, how often I drive on the freeway, etc. to determine the best ones that suit my needs. They did not give me the option of the highest priced ones first like Firestone used to do (they only gave me the highest priced ones as an option until I asked twice for other options). I have been a loyal customer for several years now and even though I live in Cleveland, I still make the drive to Cuyahoga Falls for their outstanding customer service. Used to be my go to tire dealer.....BUT things have changed. Leipold is very quick to sell you tires (I paid almost $1000.00 for 4 tires) but absolutely NO help when you need to service the tires. Two times this past year I needed my tires serviced. The first time I needed a nail hole plugged and the next time I needed a tire resealed. Each time I called and spoke to Mr. Leipold who told me they were busy and couldn't help me at that time and he suggested i take the tire off and leave it with them and they'd "try to get to it before the end of the day" I am a female over 50 - although I am capable of taking a tire off, and in fact, did the first time - I wasn't about to do it a second time. Instead I drove down State Road to Hamad Tire where they promptly helped me. Hamad's has my business and that of my family from now on. Leipold is highly recommended. I went to them after having a backyard mechanic work on my car to replace a wheel bearing. I was convinced that the front end was totally messed up due to the noises that the car was making. Leipolds inspected my car and could have convinced me without effort that my car needed parts but they didn't. They told me all that was wrong is that things weren't tightened properly. One year old tires bought from Leipolds and they refuse to provide any warranty because we did not have them do the tire rotation. No sign of uneven ware on the tires indicating that there were any issues etc. Only became an issue when we presented the receipt for the previous tires. I'll go elsewhere next time where we can receive what we pay for in a warranty. read more

Have bought tires soley from Leipold for many many years. As a female I always felt I could trust them and I liked the fact they were family owned. Within the last 6 months I purchased 2 complete sets of tires - one for my mom's car and one for my own. Shortly after purchasing the tires I noticed a substantial leak in a tire. Called Leipold's and asked if I could bring the car in. I was told they were busy and to take the tire off myself and bring it in and they would "fit it in" and repair it when they had time. Why I did that as opposed to going somewhere I don't know, but I did. They said I had picked up a nail and they plugged the leak. Several weeks later, the same tire was leaking again. I drove to Leipolds and went in and explained the tire was again losing air and asked if they could look at it, He told me I could take off my tire and leave it but they did not have time to look at it then. I was furious. They had time to put on $1500.00 worth of tires on our vehicles but did not have time to service the tires when need be. I left and drove to Hamad Tire down the street. They immediately fixed the tire and sent me on my way, Needless to say, Leipold's will never see another dollar from me. All future tires will be purchased from Hamad Tire.
