I thought this was odd - I had to make the call? Anyway, I did and got an appointment with Diamond for Saturday. The salon is clean and parking is convenient. Diamond was on time, friendly and did a nice job on my hair. I will definitely be back to see her. Iit turns out that here is no salon manager and each hairdresser rents a space. That is the reason why they recommend calling your choice of hairdreser to make appointments.

I was told they needed a credit card in order to schedule the appt and their policy was that they need 24 hrs notice to cancel or I woukd be charged. We left at 5:35pm so we would be sure to be a few min early. I received a call at 5:43pm from the receptionist saying there was sone kind of scheduling issue and they would not be able to do her hair cut today. They only gave us 17 min notice to cancel our appt. I find it pretty rude to tell me/clients they have to give at least 24hr notice, then only give about 15min notice. Had i known earlier i might have been able to get her in somewhere else today. I won't try them again, there lack of respect for my time is not worth it. I would give them no stars if I could.

She had been driving an hour to get her hair done and that's tougher to do these days. She asked around among stylists she trusted and Allison came highly recommended. This is a quiet little corner of Lake, which locals sometimes call "old downtown," if I understand it right. It's a couple dozen businesses around a zigzaggy intersection. Lia Lorraine shares a medium-sized building with a handful of other businesses. For our first visit, they came out and opened the door for us before we even got all the way from the truck to the transom. So kind! The building is too old to have automatic door-opener buttons, but they made sure we didn't have to juggle the wheelchair and the door. Allison was very patient and reassuring at every single stage of the process, cheerfully encouraging us while we got my sweetheart into the styling chair. She walked through exactly what kind of cut and color to do, and went to work layering in the new blond. I hope I have the lingo right here--I've never had my hair colored, and have cut my own hair with a razor for 20 years. But Allison brought out warmth and highlights without any of the common pitfalls with going blond. She cut my wife's hair above the shoulders, making it easier to style while she recovers function in her left hand. You can do only so much with your hair when you have the use of one hand. The second time we were in, she even helped Kristi to the sink. She did great work on her hair for sure--this is the best result Kristi has gotten with blond coloring. But best of all, she was so kind and cheerful and patient the entire time, even with me hanging around part of the time. She stayed fully focused but friendly and chatty. She's really good at cutting and coloring hair, and she's an even better person.

I called back less than 24 hours and asked if i can come in free of charge being that i paid for a color that was not achieved. She told me she would check with her partner and call me right back but she never took the time to call me back. Today i callss her back and she told me it will be an extra $40 to tint my hair to the brown that i was told that i was going to be given. Not only did i have to call her but she was very dry and unprofessional in the way she spoke to me. Who does this? Charge extra for work they were already paid for and its not like i came back 2 weeks later. Im an unsatisfied customer and will never go back to this place an i will not recommend their services to anyone.
