They traumatized my kid and refuse to do anything about it. I was told by their counselor not to take them. But I still have to pay off the full $12000. They won't even refund what my child didn't didn't use. Definitely not recommended. If I could give them negative stars I would. An expensive lesson for sure. If I could give negative stars I would. I wanted to help my son do his best in school and so I decided to take my 13 year old son to this program right before the start of 7th grade. At first it seemed to help. But my son struggled with the program because he only has 1 eye due to having the right eye removed after being diagnosed with Retinoblastoma at 3 months old. His remaining eye was treated for the cancer and he has a blind spot in his field of vision due to the treatment. It makes reading take a little more time. He's struggled in school because of that. He also has struggled some with depression, anxiety, and gender identity. He is afab. This past year I remarried and that along with moving, starting a new school, covid, and deciding to start testosterone has been difficult to say the least. We had a family therapist, an individual counselor for him and a psychiatrist to try and get him help due to self harm and other negative emotions/behaviors. After the first few terms at school my son told me he couldn't handle brain balance on top of everything else. His therapists all agreed with him and recommended I take him out of the program. At the beginning I had signed up with Frank. He had told me he didn't want the program to be something that caused my son immense stress and that he was sure it would work. The only way to pay for it if you can't foot $12,000ish is to finance. The loan is through Mountain America credit union. Frank set up the loan and Mountain America Credit Union paid Brain Balance in full. Well we didn't even make it 1/2 way through before being told to take my son out of the program. I was disappointed but decided to call Frank and ask him to refund the money. Although I feel all of the money shoild be returned, I asked for half, the half that we couldn't use. He told me no, that he couldn't. He then said to call back in 3 months to talk about options. I just called him back to ask him again to refund at least the half that was unused. He wouldn't be out any money. But again he refuses to listen to the advice of my son's psychiatrist or the counselors we used. He again said he wouldn't do the refund. I think this shows that he is inflexible and unable tp see that in some situations it might not be what's best. He keeps telling me that my son doesn't think like a 13 year old and that if I don't literally physically drag him into the center to complete the program he'll never be able to function as an adult. That attitude is hurtful to say the least. Now I'm out all that money with nothing to show for it except that my credit, which I worked hard to bring up, has been brought back down due to being late on this payment. If you care about your kids, don't join this program. It might be great for little kids who will do what you want, but with teens who have more say over what they do, it doesn't work. read more

Not worth the effort to even investigate. Front office staff could not answer anything other than very basic questions. Once I talked to the director, her irritation with my more in depth questions was very obvious. This is clearly a money making scheme and way over priced physical/occupational therapy done by people who are not even trained to the rigorous standards required to be a PT/OT. The employees receive "in house" training. One could research online for free and obtain the sale information Brain Balance provides. read more

This place is seriously life changing. I would recommend it to anybody who has a child(ren) who struggle with behavior issues, intellectual and/or learning issues, social issues, etc. My child has been in the program for almost 6 months and is a completely different kid. I feel truly blessed that I found this place because I didn't want to take him to his pediatrician and him have an evaluation. My fear if I went the medical route was that he was going to be slapped with a label and medicated. So I am so so thankful that I stumbled upon this place before I had to go that route. The staff- both coaches and not - are always welcoming and friendly. Special shout out to program director Jacque she is a real rockstar. And yes you know what it is expensive-- it's very expensive but do you want my honest opinion? You can't put a price on stuff like this.. because this is the real deal. Real hands on training that produces real results. And with as hard as my child was struggling before we started this program, every dime that I have paid is completely and totally worth it. Not to mention they offer flexible financing if you need it. I couldn't imagine my child and I's life without having found this program. read more

I share this for support to those who are looking into Brain Balance or anyone else in which this can offer inspiration. We started 8 weeks ago and continue to be in awe of the continuing growth of our 5 year old daughter who struggles with right brain imbalances. We have been through OT, PT, child neuropsychologist, child psychiatrist as I personally have been doing my own inner work (self-growth / awakening) through the brilliant practices of conscious parenting from Dr. Shefali Tsabary (author of The Conscious Parent and The Awakened Family). This has been equally foundationally in helping to serve our daughter and get her the continued help with Brain Balance!! Infinite gratitude to Dr. Robert Melilllo for his revolutionary work! We have seen even greater growth and we received her 6-week Progress Report about a week ago which reflected many upward moves in her "rankings" and excited for her to feel more "free" in her being by the day. POSITIVE CHANGES WITHIN FIRST 8 WEEKS: 1. More at ease, less highly stimulated 2. More cooperative and non-argumentative on every "little" issue 3. More open to trying and receiving the changes and less resistant 4. More settled and calm and less hyperactive - bouncing all over 5. More open to socializing, less frustration with brushing her hair and how her clothes "feel" 6. No major tantrums (screaming occurs when she is in "fight or flight mode" (anxiety / panic) -- brain is still maturing and learning how to balance out the reasoning and comprehension aspects to that of her logical brain (left side which is very strong) 7. Enjoying her new foods and taking an interest in learning about a healthier way of eating 8. Not as easily startled to loud noises (dog barking, loud TV)... 9. Slow yet profound changes that she deserves to live a fully thriving and flourished life. 10. Trying new foods - liking them more quickly and she is even noticing the changes herself - saying "I didn't use to like this before but now I do" 11. She has had 5 straight GREAT days at school from last Thursday - Today! No emotional upsets (which has been the primary issue over her school days). Her teacher has expressed her recognition in seeing our daughter's advancements 12. Getting dressed without much fuss or fumble and more willing to try putting on her socks without a major upset 13.Allowing me to put back her hair in a ponytail and even brush it daily without fuss (little if at all) 14. Using more of her time to be creative, be imaginative, play with toys vs. bouncing all over the house 15. School drop offs have gotten so much easier and even if there is a day or two where things are a bit "off" she integrating more quickly into being calm 16.Took our first weekend trip out of town (last weekend) and she did GREAT all around - including travel on plane and drive home and seeing family members, staying at hotel and falling asleep without issues. 17. She's not getting so easily "worked up" by mishaps - say I forget to bring something to school or we need to change plans or she causes an accident in some way (spills paint) - she is not "freaking out" and screaming 18. We have noticed that she has moved from the SCREAMING (even though there are infrequent moments) to more of EXPRESSING her EMOTIONS - which is what we did NOT really see through her development up to this point. Almost as if she is finally experiencing those emotions that were inhibited?? 19. We have noticed skin improvements (rashes are gone on her buttocks) and (skin flakes behind the ears) are non-existent 20. Seeing her being able to self-regulate more and empower herself (through our guidance of coaching and conscious parenting practices) of affirming herself and trusting her inner voice. She is able to calmly articulate thoughts such as "it's not going to bleed (referring to her nose)," or "i'm okay, i'm okay" - HUGE!! read more
