It was hard, i was a new student but the teachers there supported me. With their support i made new friends. This past few years have allowed me to make many more connections and lots of new friends, i know almost everybody now. I'm not going to share any bad experiences i have here, but three star is solid!

I wish I had pulled my kids from this school and kept them all in public and/or private school. My son(middle schooler) told me that bathrooms were disgustingly dirty and being locked during classroom lesson time because some middle school kids were caught in the bathrooms doing inappropriate things to each other. God forbid an elementary child walks into that! Kids caught with vape pens. The middle and elementary grades should definitely be separated but because the campus is so small, that that would be impossible. And their classroom students to teacher ratio(30+ students to 1 teacher) is terrible! Their recess area that they call a playground is a joke. It was broken most of the school year. Only certain policies are followed and some ignored. I mean, I could keep going on about what needs to be addressed but then I'd have to write a novel! If you choose to enroll your child/children into a charter school. I highly do NOT recommend this campus!

Currently Bilbray ES is ranked the #2 elementary school in the Clark County School District and that's not too shabby out of almost 300 elementary schools! Actually that's amazing! My kids used to go to another school in the district that I will leave nameless, this school was ranked in the lower 200's and was only a three star school. Needless to say my kids were truly getting left behind and just shuffled along in the mix of kids. My daughter is Dyslexic and that school failed to help her in any way, even after I told the school what she needed. I was doing all the work and still not getting any help for her, they didn't seem to care :-( After extensive research on elementary schools in Clark County, my husband and I found Bilbray ES. Once we decided that Bilbray was the school for us, we actually moved and bought our current house a block away from Bilbray ES just so our daughter and son could get enrollment into this school. After the other school failed my kids, we meant business! This was a life changing decision for my kids! Bilbray ES has gone out of their way to help my daughter with her Dyslexia and now it is almost unrecognizable in her! She went from an F student who could not read that had to repeat the first grade, to and A/B honor roll student that is in the highest level reading groups in her class! The speech therapist at Bilbray is a miracle worker and my son is thriving with her help. This school has a great staff and they are wonderful with all of the students. Bilbray ES also offers lots of programs at this school that aren't at other schools, such as Drill Team, Tumbling, and Garden Club. They also have lots of family friendly events throughout the year such as carnivals, renaissance fairs, and family nights. If you live in this neighborhood, this is hands down the school you should send your kids to.

Talk of sexual identity and gender fluidity for an eight-year-old is atrocious. Calls to staff for support go unanswered or are talked over. They even reject littles who try out for their annual musical! How do you turn away a baby who wants to be in the show? You can turn them into a tree or something? Just sadly disappointing that as humans, even educators still act like "mean girls".

My child's kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Margolis, was phenomenal. She was upbeat, professional, engaging, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about the students and loved teaching. Unfortunately, things have steadily gone downhill since then. First grade did not meet the expectations I had hoped for, but I never imagined the experience would decline this much. Mrs. Brown is honestly the worst teacher I have ever encountered. She has a very flat affect, lacks engagement with the students, and struggles to teach material in a way children can actually understand and retain. My child has consistently been an honor roll student, so this is not an issue of capability or effort. What has been equally disappointing is the lack of support from administration. The headmaster, Mrs. Johnson, is not approachable and appears completely uninterested in parent concerns or feedback. Attempts to communicate issues feel dismissed rather than addressed. It is incredibly disheartening to watch a school that once felt nurturing and academically strong become such a frustrating experience for both students and parents.

Early intervention is highly important for help with children with special needs so they can succeed later in life. This school is not up to the task to discovering those needs and assisting your child. Right now 1 out of 56 children are autistic. That's not counting any of the other children with additional needs. My daughter did not want to integrate with the preschool classroom. They thought it was purely a behavioral problem. We did everything they asked. She was "super smart" (their words) so they wanted to keep her, but she couldn't handle being with the group. Though she was still listening/learning from afar (again their words) They tried to physically force her resulting in major meltdowns. They ended up kicking her out. They made me feel like a failure of a parent and my child wasn't exactly excited to experience school again after that. With the assistance of CCSD and her doctor she was diagnosed with high functioning autism. She's doing great in a general education classroom and still super smart. My point is pick a school that will help your child no matter what the circumstances. This school isn't going to do that.
