Asked about schedule issues and if they can confidently do this job. Then was replied with: "no no scheduled issues sir , the car is in line with the space of it still being occupied by the car itself it was just one of those days unfortunetly and we couldnt start on it today , the work time is still the same im just backed up by 1 day sir , i apologize for this inconvinience and since we dont open sundays , the best bet will be to finish it by monday" Told specifically not to start it or drive it due to timing being off and creating additional damage. I got a 2001 Chevy S10 with 93k miles on it a year before. Starting a new career in IT contracting, I figured it'd be a good idea to get my beloved little rustbucket looked at. This thing was, not just abused, but neglected for several years. Joe found every last problem with the motor. The sheer scope of issues with it that Joe managed to find and repair is insane. Thank goodness I had a nest egg saved up just for such an occasion. They invited me right over to the lift to see the problems with my own eyes. When I turned the truck in the next day, they were even kind enough to drive me home since I lived in Bellevue. Not just that, but when the truck was finally done after discovering even more issues (namely a timing chain so loose it's a wonder the truck ran at all, with the valves a full eighth of a rotation behind the crankshaft) and repairing them. It was held back for another day due to starting issues traced back to the timing sensor, something he insisted on eating the cost of due to how long it's been in service (about a week). After that they were happy to pick me up. The truck since then has been running like an absolute dream. I've driven 450 miles in the span of 3 days working all across Western Iowa/Eastern Nebraska, about a hundred miles out from the Omaha Metro at max. I cannot thank them enough for their incredible quality of service, mechanical and customer. I will not trust any other mechanic until I'm forced to stop going to Joe's.

Diagnostic fee was 200 something dollars. Got called saying my fuel pump was bad and it would be running me 1200 ish with the diagnostic fee included. I bit the bullet and agreed to have it fixed. Didnt feel like I had any options. I was told this would be a start to solving problems but not a definite. (Pretty expensive start, why not start out with the smaller issues?) Then I was told the cam shaft position sensor would need changed. Okay. Another 100 ish dollars. I got another call on May 12th 2026 stating the jeep is starting right up. Awesome. I pick it up, get home a couple blocks away and it stalled on me and had a hard time starting (original issue). I called the shop back and they said I could come back and theyd look at it free of charge but now im just frustrated because I spent 1,388 dollars to have the same issues. O2 sensor didnt get fixed even though the check engine light is on for that. Curious as to why they didnt start out with the sensors, why did they jump straight to fuel pump causing the problem? Im not sure. Excellent customer service in the front desk area but they got all I had in my savings as a working single mother. Ill be taking business elsewhere and get some different eyes on it.

That being said, they now charge $253 to diagnose a check engine light. I just cannot afford to pay $250 simply to walk in the door before the repair pricing even begins, so I have had no choice but to take my car repair business elsewhere. They do a fantastic job, the techs are wonderful, the repairs have been good, but they have priced me out of being able to take my car to them. I do recommend them if you can afford them because they do good work. Just be prepared for the price.
