Upon taking it in, it was a routine check in/drop off procedure. They got back to me the same day, but here's where they won me over. My repair was fully covered under Jeep warranty, so taking it to the dealer would cost $0. Al, who advised me of my options said I could just go get it fixed free at the dealer (which he communicated to them before I went). The point is that these guys could have easily gone the "shady auto shop" route and charged me for something the warranty covered, but instead these guys were honest. My Dad originally referred me to Global and since then I've referred a handful of other people. No scamming here. From the minute I walked into Christian Brothers Automotive, I felt completely different. The shop was incredibly clean and welcoming. As a Christian myself, I loved hearing Christian music playing and even noticed a Bible on the table. But what impressed me most was how they treated me. I originally came in for an oil change, and instead of just telling me that other things needed attention, they educated me. They explained what they found, why it mattered, and gave me the information to make my own decisions without making me feel pressured. I also loved the detailed report sent right to my phone showing what they inspected on my vehicle and what they found. That kind of transparency goes a long way, especially for someone who doesn't know everything about cars. I left feeling informed, respected, and comfortable -- not taken advantage of. Front hub assemblies, cv shaft, upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, the works! I bought all the parts prior to dropping off, aside from one hub assembly which they had provided. The bill was obviously extensive, well over $2,000. Totally was prepared for it and paid my bill in full. There were no complaints, at first. Less than a week later I drove out to my dads, roughly 20 minutes away. On my way I started experiencing some severe shaking. Thank goodness my daughter wasn't in the truck at this time! I get to my dads and we were absolutely shocked! All but one of the lug nuts had BROKEN off! I've literally never seen this before. My husband and my daughters dad are both mechanics and they explained this was because it was not torqued properly. The only reason I sent my truck to this shop is because neither of them had the time and I wanted my truck fixed. Any mechanic would have realized why this issue occurred. I towed my truck back for joe to fix, which he did fix. However, he then wanted me to pay another $400+ to fix his mistake! Absolutely not! I brought in my previous bill to show not only all the parts were brand new but that he had been the one to do the repairs. He comes in and I explained why I shouldn't have to pay for his mistake, to which he tried to claim it was because my truck was so rusted. Everything was new, so regardless of the amount of rust my truck may have the parts were not rusted. He made a huge scene and never owned up to his mistake! I refuse to work with someone who doesn't stand by their work.
