Cherry blossoms, which symbolize renewal, have deep significance in Japanese culture and are a traditional motif in art, literature, and cuisine. The short-lived blossoms only last for about two weeks before fluttering to the ground. The cherry is a symbolic national flower in Japan and is sometimes offered to other nations as a symbol of friendship. Branch Brook Park is the ultimate destination for cherry blossom season in the Garden State. With over 5,300 cherry blossom trees in 18 varieties on this Essex County plot, this park outranks every other cherry blossom collection in the world. This year, it's their 50th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival from April 4 to 19, 2026. With the peak bloom here, so were the enthusiasts and traffic. My partner and I were lucky to get a parking spot across the street from the Sacred Heart Basilica and walked a few feet to witness their spectacular colors of nature. This branch of trees is largely for looks as opposed to fruit production. The Yoshino variety is the most common type of cherry blossom in this park. The flowers range in color from pale pink to bright pink as well as white and ivory. The cherry blossoms and the leaves are edible. They are used in many traditional Japanese sweets and tea. The cherry blossoms here are absolutely stunning and make for a beautiful backdrop for photo sessions. If one's looking to do a photo session with cherry blossoms, Branch Brook Park is the place.

First off I never even knew this park existed in Newark, truly a hidden gem. We did make the mistake of going on a Saturday which was truly complete chaos. So many people and very difficult to find parking. There is a parking lot within the park but it's quickly filled. You can also park on the nearby residential streets and walk over too. We parked 3 blocks away and walked over which was an interesting walk to say the least. The blossoms were absolutely beautiful but i would definitely return on a weekday when it's less crowded. As it was near impossible to get a good photo that I won't have to edit people out of.

This is a beautiful park and it's free. I only learned about its status as home to the most cherry blossom trees in the US (over 5,300 trees in 18 varieties) by chance and as soon as I learned peak bloom was upon us, I dragged my family. They do have a website that announces the predicted peak bloom dates and they have a live cam so you can see for yourself. The park is relatively easy to get to and I couldn't find much about parking before going, but there's parking alongside the main streets running through the park. I spotted a parking lot in the northern half of the park on the map but we mostly stuck to the south so we didn't come across it. The park itself is huge and the blooms are beautiful. Even though we got there at around 10 on the first weekend (this was a week ago), there were already a lot of cars. By the time we left about 2 hours later, traffic was crazy as cars drove super slow looking for spots or making what looked like illegal u-turns. Try to go early. There are signs everywhere saying not to pick the flowers (they were... usually adhered to) and benches scattered if you just want to sit and relax. Many people there taking photos with the trees and also the lucky trees that have low hanging branches so they can be held adjacent to your face. There are different shades of pink to more vibrant ones, some that weep down and others more structured. All beautiful. We followed the trail to a playground for my kids as a break for them before we made our way back up. There appears to be another playground on the north half as well. Definitely recommend this place when it's the season! But definitely go earlier. There are public restrooms and some people came by to sell fresh fruit and churros. The churros sold out fast! The only downside was we went on an overcast day (and it rained when we got back to our car), but no regrets. I'm hoping to hit the north side of the park next year to compare!

Branch Brook Park has one of the renown collections of Japanese flowering cherry blossom trees in the United States. With over 5,300 trees and 18 varieties including pink flowering (Yoshino trees) blooms can be seen from late March until early May. The third week in April is usually the peak blooming week. The park is free and is open from dawn till 10 pm. Visit the Cherry Blossom Visitors Center first for a beautiful display of blooming trees. park information and a parking lot. Parking is also available on the shoulder of the road in this 300 acre park.

Came here during the cherry blossom festival and it is beautiful but very crowded. I work five minutes away from here and usually I'm able to enjoy a nice walk however, during this visit, it was not possible. One should definitely feel secure there's cop surveillance.

Wow, I don't have to make a drive to DC for cherry blossoms! I was so impressed with the beauty of the park and how well it was kept. Many areas have fencing but that protects the tree roots so I'm glad that they have that. The park isn't as large as the DC's tidal basin, BUT I would say that the number of cherry trees and varieties rival the DC park. The Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart makes a beautiful backdrop as well. The walk around the lake took a little over a mile and it was a very pleasant walk and the park is clean and well maintained. We went on a weekday so there were plenty of parking right in the park and while there were people walking, it wasn't jam packed. I'd imagine the weekend would be like a cattle drive. I highly recommend making a visit here during the cherry blossom season but try to avoid the weekend.

This review is really for people who aren't familiar with the park. It's a very long, narrow park, and we come in the spring to see the cherry blossoms. It can be very crowded this time of year, especially in the areas where the cherry blossom trees are. We don't even try to park in the lot near the Welcome Center. Instead, we park on Branch Brook Park Drive near Mill Street and walk from there. This is the very north end of the park. There are clusters of cherry blossom trees there, as well as in the middle and southern sections. We covered 8 miles on foot and only made it to the middle section, so you'll definitely get some exercise if you're walking from one area of blossoms to another. There are bathrooms in the Welcome Center and a few other park buildings, as well as many port-o-potties scattered throughout the park. The port-o-potties are well maintained. There aren't many places to eat in the park aside from the occasional ice cream or food truck (a nice café on the lake would be awesome). Not far from the park, you'll find Starbucks, Dunkin', Burger King, and various local spots that you might like--but you'll want to check a map and plan ahead. (We are coffee drinkers!) If you can go during the week, the cherry blossom areas won't be as crowded. And don't be fooled by my photos--it was very crowded, but we managed to find a few nooks and crannies where there were no people. We were there from 10AM til 2PM on a Saturday.

went here to watch the cherry blossoms. Some say it's better than washington DC so i had to check it out. Nice thing about here is that you can park all along the park area for free and the trees here are more larger and fuller than the trees in DC. Also less crowded than DC and more accessible.

Just when you thought there's minimal stuff to do in NJ, I get a Instagram reel stating that the largest Cherry Blossom is in NJ. Just like a lot of fake edits on Instagram, I thought this was fake too. Th3nni did a Google search to find out that it was true!! I was actually in DC and in my way back, I decided make a stop here at the Branch Brook Park. I was a week off from the peak festival, but they still had ample trees for you to enjoy. This is a nice park to take an evening stroll or drive thru the park in your car for a quick glance. It wasnt that crowded amd doesn't cost you anything, so stop by. Note that it's a large park with a lot of cherry blossoms, but they are spread out throughout the park and aren't as dense.

Every year, the visit to view the Cherry Blossoms is such a pleasure. Knowing that it's the largest collection of Cherry Blossoms in the entire country makes it more enjoyable and worthwhile. It's fun walking a large portion of the park and seeing practically every single ethnicity either picnicking, taking social media photos, or enjoying this once a year treat. There is parking along the streets, plus at the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center. If you can, try to stop by the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center. It has the history of the area, photo op opportunities, and rest rooms. We visited during peak bloom and the views were spectacular. If you haven't visited before, please do so, next year. If you want to ensure that your visit will guarantee nice blooms, there is a live web cam that'll show details of the trees.

This review is long overdue. Branchbrook Park covers North Newark and part of Belleville. On Heller Parkway and Franklin Avenue, there's always been a hotdog truck for decades. For ages, I've seen men enjoy fishing in the lake. During April, the Cherry blossom festival brings people from all over to visit the lovely blossoms in Branch brook Park. This year 2023, the blossoms were underwhelming possibly due to the erratic weather. In addition, the Essex County Cherry Blossom 10k Run takes place. I'm delighted to see tributes to Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847) Composer, Pianist and Conductor and Frederick Law Olmsted (1822- 1903)- Father of Landscape Architecture. *For safety reasons, it's best to visit Branchbrook Park during daylight hours only. The park is well patrolled. However, one should always be aware of their surroundings.

This park is a great walk through with every staple you could want - playground areas, baseball fields, water for fishing, bocce courts, open fields and more. All of these are in use on a nice day and its's great seeing a park abeing utilized for what it was made for. The big attraction in the warmer months is the cherry blossom trees which are really beautiful making for good pictures and smell nice making it a must visit for spring. The park is huge so much time can be spent there for a family outing. There is a decent amount of parking but even this can change on the nicest of days being that the park serves so much despite it's size. The park always seems well kept and the visitors seem to do their part picking up after themselves. The light Rail has a station here allowing additional access if you're without a car. read more

Beautiful!!! My boyfriend and I visited the park on Saturday last week and it was gorgeous. We only walked one side of it beginning at the welcome center. Not that many people which was nice. We were able to take some great photos of the various cherry blossoms and some wild flowers and ducks. Such a beautiful park. We would love to come again next year when they are at their peak. :) read more

Beautiful park especially during the Cherry Blossom blooming time. It's really spacious but going on a beautiful saturday afternoon, was quite overwhelming. I know people are excited coming out from COVID hibernation but there's not much social distancing here lol. It's 50/50 with people wearing masks while walking and for sure none while taking pics of course. I would still take precaution and go on a weekday where there would be a smaller crowd. read more

Needed to get some fresh air, and this park was just the right spot. Beautiful walkways and lawns surrounded with cherry blossom trees, water fountains and ducks. Toddler approved :) We did visit the park on a weekday so there was no mad rush, there were just a handful people in the park. The cherry blossoms were a sight, but with the recent rains and windy weather, they are almost nearing their end. Definitely will come back here on a warmer day for a nice walk read more

We love coming here for the cherry blossoms every year. Definitely timing it for peak bloom is key but they have updates on their Instagram page. Still giving it 5 stars because I love it and will continue to come but this year we noticed a few things ; we went on a Saturday and parking spots were very hard to find, the trees really are only on either side of the park (either by the big lake or all the way on the opposite side) so if you find parking in the middle you will have to walk, so if you have little kids, be prepared. Many people passed us asking us where the trees were, bathrooms were only by the lake and the line was so long (maybe porta John's could be in place in other areas atleast during the festival ). If you come here, definitely suggest going to Fernandez Rodizio afterwards! It's our go to every year after seeing the blooms! read more

I love this park! I absolutely love getting up early and coming here. To feel the fresh breeze and hear the bird song almost makes you forget that you are in a city. This is what I really like about Jerz, best of both worlds! This park is Not too far away from where I live, easy access, large enough to not feel crowded. Plenty of space to pitch a blanket and daydream your day away! Very clean and well manicured. Nice baseball and football fields. There is also a roller skating rink on the other side. Oooh I can't wait for the skate parties to return! Come here often to walk and jog the trails read more

This park is beautiful and spacious. Whether you seek solitary commune with nature or fun with family. They have parks for the kids and a cool old school four wheel skating rink with good prices. In the spring the cherry blossoms bloom and fill this park with the most amazing scenery. Absolutely gorgeous in the spring and in the fall as the trees change a multitude of colors and fall out littering the park with an array of muted rainbow nature sprinkled about. A great loop to run for fitness or bike as well. A section where they have a small bank of water that is always soothing to the soul available. read more

This is a beautiful park during cherry blossom season. We first came here several years ago, a week after the cherry blossom festival ended. Came back today, Sunday, April 14, on the last day of the cherry blossom festival this year. The blossoms are in full bloom. In fact, some are already done. This park has the largest number of cherry blossoms in the US, even surpassing DC. It's lovely to stroll alongside the stream, lined with cherry blossoms! And further inland, it's fun to look up to clouds of blossoms surrounding you! I have to say, the festival makes it a fun atmosphere. There were food trucks, ice cream trucks, popcorn stands, and lots of people enjoying the park. When we came several years ago, we brought a picnic lunch because there are no food options around unless you venture outside of the park but on the upside, we had the whole place to ourselves to take pictures. During the festival, it's impossible to get a picture without a photo bomb. read more

Branch Brook park is known to have the largest collection of cherry trees in the United States. There are over 5000 trees within the parks 360 acre span. There are water bodies within the park consisting of lakes, streams and ponds. The water bodies themselves covers 24 acres and is stocked with trout. Paved walking paths encircle the water bodies. There are lots of open green areas for relaxation and picnics. The park system is readying itself for the upcoming crowds to view the blooms. In place are portable rest rooms and a part of the roadway is coned off. As of today, the cherry blossoms are at/near full bloom. If you have an affinity for these cherry trees that originated from Japan, see them soon. They'll be gone in 7 to 10 days. read more

New Jersey's Branch Brook Park has more Cherry Blossoms than DC. The first two weeks of April are the time to be in this park. Definitely get the schedule and make sure to stop by. This place gets packed during these two weeks, so get here early. The rest of the park is absolutely gorgeous as well. Lots to do in the park and worth stoping but no matter what the season. read more

Came here on a nice Sunday afternoon. Not overly crowded (like liberty state park has been), ample parking, people were social distancing, and most in masks. Very pretty to walk around the lake and see people fishing in various spots. Very large park. read more

We went today to see the beautiful and plentiful in bloom cherry blossoms today. Plenty of areas to park and walk around. Certainly nice to have a large beautiful park in Newark, which on the way in you see digital warning signs to not abandon your car or leave running; stay safe. Crowds were out today, with dogs and kids. So many wandering around also trying to take selfies and pictures of the trees; which really is better to see in person than through camera lens. There are bathrooms, today they had entertainment, bouncy slides for kids, and food available. Its very nice! read more

Spring is finally here and when spring comes, the flowers blossom. If you're looking for a beautiful park to go to with your friends, family, significant other or just yourself, look no further! Branch Brook Park is the perfect place to go to for a nice stroll, pictures, picnics, and so much more. All while being engulfed in cherry blossoms! The Cherry blossoms are so beautiful, making the scenery of the park unreal. Plus, I'm sure if you stayed there long enough, you might just score yourself a tan! The park itself is spacious enough for everyone to be socially distanced. If you're driving to this area, street parking is relevantly easy to find but if you're going on the weekend, it may take a bit of time to find a spot. read more

It's spring, the weather is getting nicer. I recommend taking your family or friends here this month to see the cherry blossoms. I came a bit early as not all the trees bloomed, yet. However, I still got to see some really beautiful ones. Walk around, enjoy the pretty view, have a picnic there, and take many photos! read more

What a gorgeous surprise I absolutely love this park it is so beautiful with or without the cherry blossoms. It's conveniently located near the airport so if you have an auto mount of time from the time of checkout of the hotel to the time of check-in to the airport this is definitely a really quick and easy. Also there are tons of gas stations nearby if you need to fill up. Everything is pretty easy to find on the main road I personally wish I was walking through the park versus driving because it really does lend itself to a pedestrian friendly experience there are so many cute bridges and walkways and paths. Lots of nature here lots of wildlife here so be careful if you're afraid of bees wasps or anything of that nature. Lots of geese and lots of geese droppings near the lion sculptures. Always be careful of geese do not try to pet them or feed them they are pretty mean. Restrooms are available at the park please use with respect. Parallel parking available throughout the park very convenient. read more

Beautiful park with plenty of sitting/ picnic areas, lots of wide open spaces for kids to play. Some folks fish. There's a beautiful fountain and some of the most gorgeous birds and trees I've seen. I went to see the Japanese Cherry Blossom. Can't wait to visit again and see more of it. Very romantic park read more

Come during cherry blossom season (April-May) and you are in for a treat! This park is listed as Newark, but it seems to me it starts in Belleville, goes through Bloomfield, and ends in Newark, so if you are suspicious of Newark, start towards the top of the park. This is definitely a nice big park to stroll around or jog in and the trees in bloom are definitely a great site. My first intro to the park was when there was traffic on Bloomfield Ave and my GPS took me on a detour through the park on my way to I-280. Even if you don't pull over, if you have a chance to cut through it (knowing it'll be slow but not very trafficy) then you can enjoy a great view vs. driving through some graffiti-filled sketchy areas of Newark. If you want to enjoy nature but don't want to go too far from urban areas, this is an oasis. read more

This park always surprises me because so many friends say "don't set foot in Newark--it's dangerous" and parts of it *are*--but Branch Brook Park is a real gem in an unlikely place. Beautiful place to see the cherry blossoms in spring and feels safe. read more

We were at Branch Brook Park on Sunday and it was absolutely gorgeous!! I have never been to this place during the peak of Cherry Blossom and I was stunned by the view I saw! It was breathtaking!! So dreaming! I was so happy that I don't have to travel to DC this year and can enjoy the beautiful Cherry Blossom 30 minutes away from my place. I will definitely return next year! read more

Love this park. Been coming here for decades, it's incredibly big and has a great history about it. For starters this is the largest park in New Jersey. This park was also designed by the brother who created Central Park in NYC. This park stretches from Newark to Belleville, NJ. Many different sections of this park from baseball fields, to a lake, to a kids park, to a duck preservation, and even a roller rink. I love this park. There is so much to do! Great for the entire family, I would highly suggest to have a picnic or activity day planned here. You could have a lot of fun with a lot of people as it's a giant park. Bike riding, running, exercising? Whatever you intend on doing, it's there! Hope you have fun, it's a beautiful park with great views of Sacred Heart Basilica. Enjoy your visit! Yesterday, I learned that this park in New Jersey has the largest collection of cherry blossom trees in the US! Almost double the amount of cherry blossom trees that are in D.C. What a gorgeous park. I went on April 15th, and there were a good amount of trees in bloom. This winter hasn't loosened its grip on NJ, and it was super cold and gray. Regardless, I spent about an hour wandering around and taking pictures of the beautiful pink blossoms. It's about a three mile loop around the lakes, and you can even wander off the path to check out the magnificent Sacred Heart cathedral. Parking is available on the street in some areas, but it was a little tight this weekend due to the Cherry Blossom Festival. I drove around until I found a spot at the sports complex. The trees will probably be in full bloom within a couple of weeks, so I plan on going back. read more

I've never ventured out to Washington D.C. for the Cherry Blossom festival but was so happy to find out that we have an even bigger park in our own back yard here in NJ. I went on one of the first really warm Sundays and it was PACKED. Took a while to find a parking spot but it was definitely worth it. I'm not sure what the timeline is for the cherry blossoms, especially considering the unpredictable weather this year, but in the middle of April there were only a few trees in bloom. It was enough to get some nice photos but I was hoping that I would be able to see trees that are more full. Either way, it's a nice walk, especially when the weather is nice and I would highly recommend anyone who is in the area to check it out. Their park's website has information about the various events that are going on and when so I would check that out if you are interested in seeing something in particular. read more

Branch Brook is known to have the largest cherry blossom trees around so I decided to make the trip out. The park is huge and had plenty of picnic areas to sit down and relax. Since it's so big it actually never felt crowded because people are spread out throughout the park. My favorite area was by the water where you could see the view of the church. Absolutely beautiful! Overall I definitely recommend at least experiencing once during cherry blossom season. read more

The annual cherry blossom festival will begin soon. The earliest blooms have started to open. Will peak in the next two weeks. More trees and varieties than in Washington tidal basin. Several organized runs on weekends make it tough to admire the trees. I suggest a weekday and early to get parking and not be jostled. New plantings every year. Beautiful flower beds. For photographers and nature lovers a must walk through a park designed by Frederick Law Olmstead. Even feels like Central Park. Don't miss if you are nearby. read more

Breathtakingly beautiful in the spring time! Went here on Monday and it was packed. Maybe everyone was trying to get their picture on before the forecasted rain on Tuesday. This park i think spans the newark and Belleville area if I'm correct and it's just rows and rows of cherry blossoms. It's just great to drive or bike through the winding roads with pretty pink and white blossoms on either side of you. It's other worldly really! If you fancy a walk there are trails and a pond that you can have a picnic by. There's even a roller skating rink and baseball fields etc. But if you came here for just pictorials then you can park your car at the tourist center because this area has the oldest cherry blossom trees. The branches are way thicker and the blossoms are so heavy that they weigh the branch down and it leans downward giving you a great opportunity to take a selfie next to a bunch of blossoms. Tip: if you're shy and you want to have a pictorial but you don't want cars passing you by or a bunch of other tourists around you while you strike a pose.......if you drive past the tourist center there is a road with a dead end sign that's great! There aren't many people there and the cherry blossoms are still lush and beautiful so you can pose to your hearts content. If you can't go all the way to Washington, D.C. This park gets a bad rep because it's in Newark but I've been coming to this park ever since I was a little girl never came across any trouble. First off, Branch Brook is huge! The first half, closer to Belleville, is filled with cherry blossoms and has a quiet little stream of water. There are also baseball fields, tennis courts and now (a recently opened) children's playground. The other half, closer to Newark, is where I love to jog. There's plenty of open space where you can play soccer or allow your dog off the leash. If you go further into the park you'll come across a huge lake where you can fish (under the bridge) and see plenty of wildlife. Geese, groundhogs, skunks, funny looking ducks, even turkeys and deer (only on the Belleville side) are among the types of animals I've encountered. I thoroughly enjoy this park, especially in the spring when the beautiful cherry blossoms are in full bloom and the festival is in town. As long as you are aware of your surroundings and aren't making it your mission to jog alone at midnight, I think you'll be a-okay. read more

This park is huge, covering ground between both Newark and Belleville. It's perhaps most frequented during the month of April for its infamous cherry blossom trees. There's also the cherry blossom festival during this month and the cherry blossom 10k, usually the first or second Sunday of April. I wouldn't recommend hanging out here after dark, but you'll be fine during the day. read more

Did you know that there is a park in Newark? Did you know that there are geese in Newark? Did you know Cherry Blossoms grow in Newark? Did you know there is a Cherry Blossom Festival....in Newark? I was skeptical about going, but it turned out better than expected. It wasn't bad and it wasn't good. The park is very photogenic, you can park your car anywhere (and parking is free), you can ride your bike around the loop, take in a few youth soccer games, or fish in the brook. You'd have to pay me Fear Factor money to eat any fish that came out of that body of water.... read more

He focuses on teaching you how to utilize your strengths while simultaneously transforming your weaknesses into strengths. As the former Egyptian National Coach from 2017 to 2023, Amr introduced Egyptian training methods to Open Squash. I have witnessed significant improvements in our juniors' squash skills under his guidance. More importantly, Amr also plays a vital role in helping juniors build their character. I recall an instance when a younger player, around 13 or 14 years old, was practicing with two older juniors, aged around 17 or 18. She appeared a bit frustrated during the drill. Upon going there in person 3 times to give documents (because every person I speak to is asking for something different), a rep called me asking for more documents. When I advised them that I have no way to get the paperwork form my son'd father because he's out of state, I was told my application would be terminated and I'll have to start the process all over again. My son is about to be kick out of daycare because I haven't paid in a month. And every time I speak to someone there, It's a new person and they want new stuff. I also am not eligible for TANF benefits because my unemployment is too high (I can't afford food or rent, but it's too high). It's insane, the amount of good, hard working people who have just gotten hit hard by life, that get no help or they make you jump through fire to get very limited resources. Yet people who milk the system get to do it for years without any trouble. I'm so poor that I can't afford tampons or diapers but no one will help me. This is why people commit suicide.

Peter: Peter is intelligent and kindhearted. I call Peter a "Duracell bunny" because he is always moving - I often see him on a treadmill or yoga mat. He listens, diagnoses the issues, and explains everything in detail. This is a great learning process, as all the questions help me think about my shots, positions on the court, and strategies. David's lessons are great for anyone who wants to improve their form and care about the fundamentals. Josh: Josh is a very energetic teacher with a big heart. He is good at working with all types but he is especially helpful with children and women. Josh's way of explaining forms is by paying attention to body position. This is great for people who do not have much experience of exercise and know little about how the body functions. Josh is concerned about the community and wants to introduce more people to playing squash. As Josh oversees the junior program, he encourages the mothers of the juniors to play as well and make playing squash a family event. Josh also teaches women-only classes where he creates a comfortable and less intimidating learning environment for women. A great coach for everyone especially pure beginners. Thaisa: Thaisa is our squash and fitness guru. She is a professional squash player and personal trainer and focuses on how to build a body for squash and prevent injuries. Before, I could barely do sit-ups but Thaisa has helped me to become stronger, to the point where I can now finish three sets of 12 sit-ups. Thaisa is known for creating various dynamic squash drills to train the students: Her drills are demanding but one learns so much from them. Even though Thaisa wants us to finish all the drills, she does keep an eye on us. Thaisa cares deeply for her students and is excellent with small children. She wants to build their physical health awareness and knowledge about nutrition. She especially has a great heart for disadvantaged kids: When she has an extra pair of shoes or T-shirts, she gives these to underprivileged kids and inspires them to continue playing squash. Asghar: Asghar is a compassionate and patient coach who is great with anyone. Before I knew him as a coach, Asghar had already coached me: During my first month at the club, Asghar came to me while I was trying to practice. In a caring voice, he told me: "If you can face the side wall when you hit, you will hit much better." Before I could say, "thank you," he had left Now, whenever I see him at the club, he addresses me in the same caring voice: "Keep up the good work." His positive energy makes the club a greater place. In his group lessons, he is good at quickly pointing out something you need to improve. He also creates drills to help students improve their shots and movements. Juan: Juan is a young, upbeat and accommodating coach. Juan first observes his students, understands their level, and then tries to give a lesson that everyone can benefit from. He has combined different coaches' approaches. Juan often plays with us and tells us what we should focus on. Even when we cheer for our classmates when we play against him, Juan is not offended. He often laughs with us and has fun, too. I believe Juan's lessons are for everyone but are especially great for kids. Once when I was early, I saw him teaching a kid. He was very patient and explained everything in detail. Recently we decided we missed having two canine family members and set out to begin the search for a friend for our dog Daisy (also a rescue) and I knew about Eleventh Hour Rescue and the work they do for a while and had attended events like Puptoberfest. When we saw there was a Winter market happening at the Sussex fairgrounds, we got our pre-appoved application completed and attended the event with Daisy hoping to meet a particular dog. When it turned out the beautiful girl in question wouldn't be quite the right fit for our family, we came close to leaving and determined to search through other adoptable dogs with 11th Hour when we were asked if Daisy wanted to meet Jett, who we'd missed. We did an introduction and short walk together with one of the volunteers and our family. It became quickly apparent that these two would become fast friends and he was super friendly immediately with our whole family. Jett came home with us that day and immediately seemed to feel right at home. But he wasn't answering to his name, so we bounced a bunch around and thought we'd have to use a process to change it, but we came up with Remmington III (Remmy casually) and he began answering to that almost immediately. We are on day 3 and we all couldn't be happier. Everyone who volunteers with Eleventh Hour from the pre-approval process to the event staff were so welcoming, encouraging and wonderful. They do a fantastic job of vetting potential adopters so that each animal finds their perfect furever home. I would recommend anyone searching for a furry family member to consider them.

All in-person donations are to be dropped off with the gentleman at the front desk. You can also request a receipt if needed. They have different events throughout the month. The pantry drive is every 3rd Saturday.

Branch Brook Park is such a beautiful place, especially during cherry blossom season -- it's absolutely stunning and perfect for photos! I've done birthday parties here and even took my Sweet 16 pictures in the park, and the scenery made everything look amazing. The park has plenty of space to walk, relax, or have a picnic, and when the trees are blooming, it honestly feels like something out of a movie. The only downside is that it's not in the best area, so it's good to stay aware of your surroundings, especially in the evening. Other than that, it's a great spot for family gatherings, photoshoots, or just enjoying nature. Definitely worth visiting when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom -- it's breathtaking! read more

We go during cherry blossoms or occasionally just for a picnic. Facilities are extremely limited so be sure to find a spot that ypu can walk to the toilets from. read more
