We made a HUGE mistake by going with Kennedy's for our new pool filter. First of all, when they…read morefirst came out, we wanted them to help assemble and start it up for us. They could only assemble it but couldn't do anything else because of the way the old filter basket fit through the deck--we had to remove some boards on our own to get everything to fit just right. Fine, we did as they asked us. We asked them to please come back and see that we had everything cut right, fit, etc and please make sure everything is in proper working order before we do anything else. They never came back. We called a few times and patiently waited over 2 months---keep in mind we paid for the whole startup in May which included the new filter plus installation. Had we known we had to do everything on our own to begin with, we would have just gone and picked it up ourselves. Fast forward 2 months---we now have a leak in the pump seal between the motor and the filter! The whole reason we wanted someone out here to help us in the first place was so this didn't happen. So we cleaned out the cartridge, rinsed everything out---they finally come out to fix the pump seal and they wind up jamming the cartridge back into the filter so that it now won't come out, and was all all bent. We wound up having to the whole center piece out with the cartridge and return to Kennedy's at 7am before anyone went out on call because nobody would come to our home to fix this--they denied ever doing this and said they never touched our filter. WE HAD THE CARTRIDGE CLEANED OUT AND ON THE LAWN WHEN THEY ARRIVED---THEY JAMMED IT BACK IN AND DAMAGED IT. We spoke to both receptionists about this and were met with denial and them placing the blame on us, as if we made all this up! They were less than friendly or understanding. Kennedy's did replace the cartridge they damaged at no cost--and that is why they are even getting 1 star on here. 2 weeks later, the pump seal has blown again--we called back and they refused to even offer to come out to check it for us, saying we needed to unhook everything from the filter and bring it in ourselves. Again, they were confrontational on the phone, and not willing to accept responsibility for their lack of quality control. A brand new filter should work for more than a few weeks at a time! Each time they have been out, something else has subsequently happened. (Incidentally, we called another company about this and they said no problem--we'll get someone out to look at it). Furthermore, they charged us $171 for less than 30 minutes on a $19 part--and the job not done correctly. When I spoke to the receptionist on the phone the last time--I asked her how they could not stand by their name--she assured me they did--and I said if you cared enough about your customers you'd send someone out to help us fix what should not have needed to be fixed in the first place---we will NEVER recommend Kennedy's to anyone nor will we ever go back there. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Nice array of group fitness, though I think Tues/Thurs should offer something in the 11am-1pm timeframe (preferably yoga). It has a pool, hot tub, sauna, many eliptical, stationary bikes and treadmills as well as other types of stationary machines. The view of the inlet and nearby park is wonderful while you work out. The free weight area is nice and the members and staff are very willing to help you and show you how to use the machines. The personal training pros can really help you meet your fitness goals. Then the Subcontractor came and ripped the liner off ground from old pool I took down and didn't come back for weeks (instead of coming to FINISH ours, he would go to others claiming he couldn't bump them, but continuously bumped me), which THEN CAUSED a MUD PIT.. it cost me more money to get modified stone then and constant labor to "try" and keep it dry.. it was a mess, then only then after repeated calls they finally came back and put the pool up and left an ABSOLUTE mess.. I now have to hire someone to remove the mounds and mounds of piles they left in the yard, on top of the empty boxes and garbage... this was hands down thee worst experience. Which are now still sitting there in the yard ruining the grass. Then they outsourced a excavator. Who dug down deeper than the pool installers said needed to be done. He came and right off the bat tried telling us things were going cost more money due to rock and being uneven. We had all the supplies in the yard he needed. Fill, tamper etc. He said he had to come back with a different machine and could use our stuff but it will be an additional $400/500 dollars. So we ended up leveling it ourselves. Now waiting for the installer to come. 8 weeks now. Absolutely crazy. I called the store manager. She couldn't get back to me. Dorothy said it would be set up and done by the beginning of July. Dave in the warehouse says he doesn't know what their schedule is. My next step is calling the attorney generals office to report the bad business practices and services of this company. We did not order a pool in May to be able to use at the end of the summer. I understand the Covid issues however most of the counties have been in the green since the middle of June. I think the new norm is blame Covid for not providing good customer service. Outside work does not have the same guidelines as if your working in an office. Also according to Dorothy they didn't have much above ground pools left they were almost sold out and that was in May. The installers that came out to check after the excavator said he did not need to go down that deep and we could have raised it instead of digging down. We were filling it in at the time they came and they said what we were doing was good. They only need two inches. As you can see from our leveling job the ground did not need to be excavated 5-7 inches down. It just needed to be level. The excavator also left us a mound of dirt we have to remove, when when we asked him to move it to the other lot for us, he of course had to come back with a bigger machine and it would cost more. We had to refill in 3-4 inches what he took out. And level it ourselves. Right after I wrote the initial review we were called and told the pool would be installed the next day. However it's now 11:30 the next day and the pool man said it's hot, the guys feel like they are going to pass out, we can make it tomorrow. We said so we ordered the water the next day because you said you'd be here today, do we need to cancel it? He said he will try to be there by 1pm, we shall see. This is seasonal work, pool installation is only done in the summer and spring. yes it's hot in the summer, no surprise there. Pool installers did not finish on the day they came out. Coming back again.
