My personal favorite winery in the Greater Cincinnati area. (I prefer sweet wines to dry and semi dry.) Their Golden Harvest is their main sweet wine and even though its description mentions lemon drop, it's not always discernible. Since it is a family owned and run winery, each batch will have a slightly different taste. My main favorite wines are their apple wines, especially the Apple Crisp. They also offer wood fired pizza that is unlike any of the chain restaurant's. It pairs very well with all of their wines that we've tried so far. I think it's probably low acidic sauce because I have heartburn problems when I eat anyone else's pizza with wine but not theirs. When they aren't busy, the staff, especially Mark and Julie, recognize us from our visits over the years. We came on Saturday night and the lady's working behind the bar were very nice and patient with us when trying to find a bottle of wine for me and my husband. Easy to park which is always a plus! Absolutely love this adorable scenery, great wines and friendly staff. We drove over an hour to get here but it was well worth their Christmas celebration. Of course I didn't have but two because of the far drive. But it was an enjoyable time with the wife and we highly recommend this winery. read more

We visited on a Wednesday. We were the only ones there! Had a good time chatting with the hostess. Wines were all good. Definitely off the beaten path, but worth the drive. Apparently, the outdoor seating is dog friendly. We may go back on Saturday with the dog (when it is supposed to be a bit cooler) and try the pizza. read more

Went to a wine tasting today. This place has outdoor picnic area and a pond and firepit. It's a really cute place. They also have wood fired pizza for a bite to eat. The staff was real kind and helpful and explained about the farm and some things they sold. I think it would be great on a nice day to sit out and enjoy a glass of great wine and the surroundings. read more

We stopped in after hiking at Versailles State Park. We also needed a dog friendly spot since we were also picking up my friend's foster dog after a failed home trial. The winery has a pizza restaurant on site and offers 5 tastings for $7, additional tastings are $1.50. We ordered pizza and headed over to the tasting room for some wine. Unfortunately, our experience was impacted by the dog, who was not behaving well. However, the employees were incredibly nice and understanding, allowing my friend to hide with the dog at the end of the tasting island while we were there. The tasting room is fairly small-I'm curious what they do in the winter. There were a lot of people sitting in the outdoor space, enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather. Like many IN wineries, the reds are made from imported grapes. I typically prefer these but really liked a couple of whites end ended up taking a couple home. The pizza was delicious and a great side to our wine! The winery is a little bit off the main road but is a worthwhile stop if you're in the area or a fun day trip from Indy. read more

This was my first time visiting this winery. The had just hosted their big end-of-summer celebration fireworks bash the evening before but they were still ready to accommodate plenty of visitors. The stone oven baked pizza was delicious. This spot offers not only a killer spot to grab a bite, but also offer the opportunity to sample and purchase more than a couple dozen house-made wines. I'm no wine connosoire but can tell you they have a wine for all taste pallets. We tried their caramel apple wine made from Indiana brown apples and it HIT! Bought a couple bottles knowing it will pair perfectly for some upcoming fall evenings by the fire. Staff and everyone else around was super friendly. They have plenty of tables and a covered, heated & cooled porch to enjoy for any season. Would definitely recommend giving this place a visit. read more

Very pretty setting in Indiana. The pizza was delicious and cooked perfectly in the brick oven. Chicago style pizza was great and will definitely be back for the others. The wine is great. In the middle of nowhere, you'll find some outstanding wine! We did a tasting ($7/5 samples). They had about 10 dry reds and I found those I tasted to be high quality! There were two dry whites and I enjoyed both. There are several semi sweet and fruit wines as well but I did not sample. We had excellent service from two delightful teachers on their weekend job! Loved their Cabs - bought a bottle of the 2017 Robert Reserve. If you like a dry red, this full bodied blend is for you. Very smooth. We read about their pizzas and they did not disappoint. I had their special which they we're experimenting with, the Luau, pineapple, onion, ham and BBQ sauce. Loved it- their crust is thin and crispy. Perfectly baked. Hubby ordered the Carni - Capicola ham, pepperoni, diced bacon and mozzarella. He is a pizza aficionado and he was pleased as well. They also had live music at 7 pm but we left before they played. We absolutely love their watermelon wine. We had visited them at a wine walk in shelbyville. Such a beautiful drive out to the middle of no where this is how I like my wineries. Surrounded by their grape vines. Overlooking a pond with plenty of outside seating. I should note that the entrance to the tasting room is on what I would consider the back side of the building. We were there around 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon. There were two other groups when we got there but the soon left. I do prefer to have at least another couple or so there as it tends to get awkward if you're the only one there and the owner is staring at you while you taste his wine that he's labored over.
