This property has grown since the our last visit. Plenty of seating indoors and out, we opted for inside due to the weather. We were able to try multiple wines during our visit and really liked two of the white options. The tasting room has a nice ambiance and our tasting lead was fantastic!

Found a deal on Groupon for a wine tasting for 2 for $8. The deal was good considering we got a deal of buy-one-get-one. We were kind of bummed that the deal did not include a cheese platter. I think that would have made our experience better since we were not, particularly huge fans of any of the wines we tasted. I would not count that against the establishment, it's just a personal preference. The ambiance of the winery was very cute and intimate. We loved the décor and the vibe of the place. Being able to see the grapes outside was very cool as well. The service was a little slow, but it was pretty busy when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. It just seems like that may be a busy time for the winery in general. We really liked getting info on each wine sample that we selected. I would recommend for those of you who like sweeter wines.

What a great find! Was visiting the area doing some hiking and stopped here after. A really nice selection of wines they make on site, the owners are very passionate about what they do, and they were so friendly! Nice outdoor area that is pet friendly, and some snacks that you can order with your wine. The cheese plate was simple but hit the spot. We both did a tasting flight, $6 for 6, and very healthy pours. I liked everything I tried, I was especially surprised by the vignole. There was a musician playing on Saturday night, and they were following Covid protocols so I felt safe. Would love to come back again and try the cider they also make but didn't have this time.

We were in town for the NKOTB concert. Saturday, we decided to visit the capital city wine trail. This was our first stop which was 1 hour south of Columbus. We got here at 12:05 PM. There was nobody there at first. We waited, and then decided to call. The owner picked up and was very friendly. They had been running late due to a situation they were handling a personal matter. When they showed up the owners were very nice and friendly. Due to us waiting they waived our tasting fees. They just remodeled the place. They didn't have much wine bottled yet. They were waiting for the labels of their bottles to be approved by the state of Ohio. They provided us samples of what they had available. Everything I tried was very good. What stuck out the most was the Strawberry. We are dry wine drinkers. Let me tell you this Strawberry was dry and it tasted fabulous. If you like dry then this is the place to go. They specialize in dry wines. I will go back when I am in the area again. Loved this place. Highly recommend visiting. The owners are one of the best owners that we have run across.

Perfect! Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon, headed towards Hocking Hills for spring break. Beautiful weather to sit out on the patio but the taproom was equally beautiful! We had a delicious charcuterie board, 6 tastings and a full pour each. One of our tastings was a wine SLUSHY Great prices and excellent service! All of the above plus a bottle of cider AND wine to go and our bill was $72?!?! YES PLEASE

Got it. A quiet corner to have a drink and relax? Yup. A main open area to be around groups of people? Check! We loved walking around and exploring the different areas and seeing the views! The flight of ciders was a treat and we enjoyed trying 4 different ones and comparing which we liked best! (Lemon ginger was a BIG hit!) The staff were all friendly and helped narrow down our choices. There's a separate part of the property where they hold weddings and events, which would be beautiful! Looked like they also have food trucks and music in the tap house regularly too. Looking forward to visiting again when I am back in town, gotta try the new seasonal flavor!

Dylan had wanted to show me how beautiful this place has become and also wanted me to meet Matt. Im certainly glad I did! Matt spent some time with us and let us explore the property. Matt is great! Retreat21 is lucky to have him as we found the landscaping to be wonderful. From the patios, to the right amount of gravel on the road, to their gorgeous, landscaped pond and event center and OH! can we mention how they incorporated a 100+ old oak to serve as an altar in their woodland sanctuary. Perfection!!! There is a large guest cabin that can be rented, plus seven other ones and a handful of geodomes. Each cabin has a private hot tub and fire pit. The geodomes just have a fire pit. At the front of the property is a large barn that has been converted to a tasting room. They have several house made craft wines and ciders. You can take those out to enjoy on one of three nice sized patios... one has hanging swings! They serve charcuterie, boards, and flatbreads... I'm on the weekends. They have food trucks. They also have yoga on the weekends that you can do in their vineyard -pretty cool along with other events This is a great addition to the Columbus area and Marysville. I think it's gonna be very successful. Definitely worth the trip to visit.

The Taproom is typically only open on Saturday evenings but I attended a private event on a Sunday afternoon. The interior has some seating alongside the many different brewing tanks. I started my visit with a flight, which included 4 tasters. I am not a huge cider fan, but the ciders I tried were all pretty good. They were not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the pineapple cider (Pineapple #10). Hella Good Blueberry Pomegranate was also good. I also got a full sized glass of the Hunky Dory Apple Pie. This drink had a strong hint of cinnamon along with apple. Mad Moon is worth a visit if you enjoy ciders. Their Facebook page advises when they have food trucks and other events.

I randomly found it on yelp and being a new cider fan had to come check it out. So on a rainy Saturday, my bf and I decided to finally check it out! It's defiantly a little confusing to find. Nor is it in the best part of town. Google maps doesn't seem to be aware of the actual road they are on, as it only took us to the Cleveland Ave and didn't actually guide us the rest of the way. I've included the map from their website that shows how to locate them. There is a large green Mad Moon banner on the corner Cleveland Ave and Britains Lane- turn there. Then continue to follow the green signs as you wind your way through what looks like a storage unit complex but I think is actual businesses. It can be a bit sketchy but I promise it's worth it. I've had a couple of their ciders on tap at local bars/restaurants but didn't make the connection until we were there. BrewDog, Pins, Pies and Pints all has their ciders along with several others. You can find a full list on their website of where you can buy their ciders, in bottles or on tap. We started off with a flight- 4 ciders for $10. They are decent sized pours, too. Since their menu isn't huge, we opted to go this route to try multiple ciders (there are 7 total). I still wasn't totally sure which one I wanted to order a glass of and they let me sample a couple others on the menu to decide. I ended up ordering the Tangerine Dream and my bf had the Eat a Peach. They were all good though! While the tap room is fairly small, they have more tables in another room next to the bar area. In here they had a TV and several games for use so we decided to play Yahtzee and Candy Land while we enjoyed our ciders. I love when places have games available as we rarely play them at home and it gives us something fun to do while enjoying our drinks. Definitely worth the trip to check this place out! I was surprised how many people were there/stopped in while we were there considering it's not the easiest place to find and I don't think the tap room's existence is all that well known. So that was great to see. Always great to check out and support local!

We tried several, but my favorite was the Almond Joy. They took Chocolate and coconut and it really tastes just like an Almond Joy. My wife liked the Cranberry and the raspberry varieties. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the Strawberry rhubarb, but maybe next time!
