Went to this winery for the very first time to hear some friends who were singing that evening. It was pouring down rain so the event was moved inside. I ordered a hard cider and it was very good. We also ordered a pizza from the kitchen trailer outside and it was so amazing. We didn't even get a picture of it. The crust was so fresh and perfectly cooked. This is the kind of pizza you dream about! And, the service was very good. We will most definitely go back when we are in Circleville. read more

Stopped in after we'd hiked the area. Nicole (the owner) was so kind and attentive. We enjoyed a flight of their sweet wines and the peach wine slushy. If you like sweet wine, we highly recommend the blackberry. The atmosphere is quaint and inviting with the entry covered in the grape vines, smells amazing! read more

This property has grown since the our last visit. Plenty of seating indoors and out, we opted for inside due to the weather. We were able to try multiple wines during our visit and really liked two of the white options. The tasting room has a nice ambiance and our tasting lead was fantastic! read more

Summer weekends at this winery are the best! Patrick and Nicole are amazing hosts and are always around! Blackberry wine is the best, and my husband's fave is Niagara. Whenever we travel in to see family in the local area, we like to stop by for a relaxing time at Manchester Hill. There wine is good and the atmosphere conducive to relaxed conversation and laughter while catching up with folks. Yesterday we met Sasha. She poured the wine tasting we had, explaining the typical notes while also adding in the notes that she personally notices in the wines. I really appreciated how she explained her personal take on the wine as each person's pallet varies. Found a deal on Groupon for a wine tasting for 2 for $8. The deal was good considering we got a deal of buy-one-get-one. We were kind of bummed that the deal did not include a cheese platter. I think that would have made our experience better since we were not, particularly huge fans of any of the wines we tasted. I would not count that against the establishment, it's just a personal preference. The ambiance of the winery was very cute and intimate. We loved the décor and the vibe of the place. Being able to see the grapes outside was very cool as well. The service was a little slow, but it was pretty busy when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. It just seems like that may be a busy time for the winery in general. We really liked getting info on each wine sample that we selected. I would recommend for those of you who like sweeter wines. read more

What a great find! Was visiting the area doing some hiking and stopped here after. A really nice selection of wines they make on site, the owners are very passionate about what they do, and they were so friendly! Nice outdoor area that is pet friendly, and some snacks that you can order with your wine. The cheese plate was simple but hit the spot. We both did a tasting flight, $6 for 6, and very healthy pours. I liked everything I tried, I was especially surprised by the vignole. There was a musician playing on Saturday night, and they were following Covid protocols so I felt safe. Would love to come back again and try the cider they also make but didn't have this time. read more

We were in town for the NKOTB concert. Saturday, we decided to visit the capital city wine trail. This was our first stop which was 1 hour south of Columbus. We got here at 12:05 PM. There was nobody there at first. We waited, and then decided to call. The owner picked up and was very friendly. They had been running late due to a situation they were handling a personal matter. When they showed up the owners were very nice and friendly. Due to us waiting they waived our tasting fees. They just remodeled the place. They didn't have much wine bottled yet. They were waiting for the labels of their bottles to be approved by the state of Ohio. They provided us samples of what they had available. Everything I tried was very good. What stuck out the most was the Strawberry. We are dry wine drinkers. Let me tell you this Strawberry was dry and it tasted fabulous. If you like dry then this is the place to go. They specialize in dry wines. I will go back when I am in the area again. Loved this place. Highly recommend visiting. The owners are one of the best owners that we have run across. read more

Perfect! Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon, headed towards Hocking Hills for spring break. Beautiful weather to sit out on the patio but the taproom was equally beautiful! WOW! This place was a bit of a surprise quite honestly. But when you arrive, you are made to feel like part of the family. The owners and employees are the friendliest folks we have met in a long time. Just so amazing! Now the wines and ciders - outstanding across the board. You can tell the LOVE this family puts into their work. The wife loved the Cab Franc and for me, the Peach Cider was summer in a glass! The winery was nice and the server was very knowledgeable. However, two areas of improvement were noted. No. 1--provide a cover for the cheese and cracker platter. There was some type of bug hovering over the cheese & cracker tray the entire time of the wine tasting and no action was taken to cover the tray. I would have liked to take the remaining cheese and crackers with me, but not after the flying bug had its way with the food. No. 2-showing consistency in the pouring of wine serving amounts among all parties. I noticed a big difference in the serving size of the wine poured for the group immediately after my party. While my party was served barely 2 oz. per pouring of each selected wine, the members of the other party were started out with restaurant-sized (4-5 oz.) servings. read more

I would give a 0/5 if that was an option. We came as a bachelorette group. We called ahead to make a reservation and was reassured over the phone that they could accommodate our group and we couldn't place a reservation. We came on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't super busy. We were told we couldn't do a flight for the whole group, which was totally fine. We asked if just the bride could do a flight, and the "bar tender" said we could but only 1 cup at a time. Not only was the server EXTREMELY rude, she also treated us like we were an inconvenience. She gave rude attitude the entire experience which we cut short because she was so nasty. We didn't even get through the flight before we had to leave, and couldn't even get our money back. Over all really pretty area and facility. But, the "customer service" was literally horrible. Not sure why she was so hateful and upset with having to serve us. There was no excuse at all for her behavior and we will not be going back there. read more

My husband and I recently visited for a wine tasting I purchased through Living Social. I didn't realize the winery was officially closed for the season. Patrick, the owner, still welcomed us to experience the wines he still had available this time of the season. While the types were limited, we LOVED everything he offered. He sat with us for almost 2 hours and told us about the winery and his methods of production. Great conversation, great wines and a creative (not your average!) cheese & cracker plate!
