Branding Iron surprised me, in a good way. Place was pretty chill, nothing fancy. The staff was super friendly too, they were on it the whole time, food came out right and drinks didn't sit empty. I ordered the bone-in chicken with the mango habanero sauce. Mostly because it sounded good and I was hungry. First bite... yup, that was iit. Chicken was juicy, skin had a nice crisp, not soggy at all. Big pieces too. The sauce was the star. Sweet up front, real mango flavor, then the heat slowly kicks in. Bu just enough to make you pause for half a second. Then you go right back in. Everything came out hot and fresh. A little messy, but that's kind of the point. Fingers were a disaster by the end. I was there 05/29 for reunion (22 guests in all) 15 guests showed up for dinner. Lets start, We had a reservation for 6pm table of 10 the bar tender sent us to the back to a private party. (wrong) we came back in and explained to them we were not here for the party we had reservations for a reunion. bartender and servers look like deer in head lights didn't know what I was talking about. after a few minutes and more of guests arrive then finally oh yeah reservation. Lets put tables together so I helped the server put 4 tables together. Im going to make this long story short My food was tasty but cold (i had the pasta) half of the guest received appetizer plates the other half were given nothing. (we did finally get them 30 - 45min later) Half the guests received a dinner knife and fork folded in a napkin the other half received plastic knife and spoon in plastic wrap. One of the main reasons for my yelp review is the male bartender after being ignored for some time he was finally coining to me I thought to take my order NOPE., " I was told you can't stand there its for servers only" Then continued to get ignored. funny story, while I was at the bar being ignored I notice another patron had ordered the same pasta dish I ordered, OMG the steam coming out of that dish. I wish my pasta dish was that hot. What I don't understand around 6pm there a very few customers inside the bar and like 4 to 5 servers and one bartender. So why so slow to get us our table to get us all plates and to give us all proper utensils. The Good : As already mentioned, the food was good, wings, burgers, pasta, shrimp, avocado dip, etc but mine was cold placing our order for dinner was fast because someone was smart enough to have two servers attend us. The music was good. The atmosphere was good, no trouble, no hoods price was average to any other establishment. I could recommend anything is if there is a table of 10 or more you should one server assign to that table only help if needed. Had a great time at Branding Iron for the Bears game vs the Steelers on 11/23. Food and atmosphere was awesome. The service was great despite being a packed house. Another thing is a family friendly restaurant were I took my 12 yr old son to watch the game. Prices are good, they were giving free shots of Mezcal and raffling an Authentic Autograph Odunze jersey. The whole vibe has changed since it's under new ownership. Definitely making this place my weekly Bears game bar and more. A must try for sure!!!!! read more

Stopped in the day after Summer Smash at SeatGeek Stadium. Branding Iron was the only store front that was clean and trash free. Inside was also clean, floors, bathrooms, etc. Once again, just like our last trip, the bartender has all the responsibilities on her shoulders. She had to be the server and the bar back too. Where is management in this place? She was amazing, attentive and fun, despite having to do everything!! Had some great conversation. Nice sports bar located right by Seat Geek Stadium. I went here for my fantasy football draft not long ago. We went early on a Friday evening, so it wasn't too crowded, got served pretty quickly. We just did buckets of beers, and I got a chicken sandwich which was pretty good. They had a lot of TVs at all angles, so it'd be ideal for watching any sports match. They have a decent size parking lot, and is just a few miles south on Harlem off I-55. There's not a whole lot of options in that area, so this may be one of your better options for going out. My friend works nearby there so that's how I discovered it. Wouldn't be opposed to coming back at some point in the future. read more

My family and I was frequenting Branding Iron, monthly, and haven't been disappointed until Friday, 1/10/2025. I ordered the grilled cheese with tomato bisque. The croutons came out of a bag and the bisque was as thick as hummus. The grilled cheese had no flavor, despite the menu saying it was served on a garlic Texas toast; it wasn't. It was absolutely bland and a sad looking sandwich. The grilled cheese and tomato bisque was to be served with fries and coleslaw, per how the menu was written. When we asked our waiter, Miguel, why we hadn't received those items, he stated that the grilled cheese isn't served with fries or coleslaw and the menus hadn't been changed to reflect that as of yet. I think he noticed the look of disgust on my face because as soon as he finished talking, he said he would go get fries and coleslaw - no problem. The current menu states that the sandwich and soup was to be accompanied fries and coleslaw and Miguel had the audacity to say that it doesn't come with fries or coleslaw and the menus hadn't just hadn't been updated. Advertising drinks at a certain price for today and not honoring it and charging more than it should be. Branding Iron isone of the best restaurants in Bridgeview. It's a pretty easy feat. Most of the places around here are garbage, and this place can actually be pleasant. Come in to watch a game and chill. The prices are the worst thing about it, with these being pretty ridiculous on a few things. Came in with the girl to watch a game. It also happens to have drinks and food, making it a good experience overall. The only complaint was the prices. Cocktail prices aren't that bad. We got a few of these. I had the Branding Iron Mule. It's about $8 for the cheapest cocktails, so pretty average for this. This one has ginger beer, lime, and vodka. It was easy to knock back. The menu is mostly meaty. Good thing about it is they have a few vegetarian items. The bad thing is the price. Each of us got a Beyond Burger. It's about $13 and comes with a side. The prices were crappy but the food sure wasn't. It was a big ass burger. This almost was worth the high price. Good filling meal and the service wasn't bad either. It's certainly a place I could come to again if ever around here. The prices are the only complaint but if you're looking for a fun sports bar this is one, whether getting vegetarian food or something such as wings. read more

Note that I'm reviewing this for the venue more so than the restaurant since I did not order food. We came for an after-party that featured some DJs we like. The Pavilion area is spacious and had a good sound system. It was loud enough but not too loud to overwhelm the space. A good sized dance floor with lots of additional space to take a break, hangout at the bar or in the grass by a firepit. Terrible food and loud music. Their menu says they are known for their ribs and there is no reason why. I don't think they seasoned the meat at all unless drenched in bad vinegar based bbq sauce is a "seasoning". I needed the big steak knife to cut through half the meat. They said the slaw is mayo based but what they meant is all mayo with no other flavor. Who can mess up beans? Well, they dumped a pound of sugar in them. Terrrrrible experience. Plus they give you steak knives and real spoons, but plastic forks. The waiter was nice, but doesn't know the menu. He told us we had to order sides, even though I pointed out the menu said that my husbands dish came with mashed potato and slaw. They brought out the dish with the sides (as the menu stated) and then extra sides. Of course we weee charged for them and when I said something, the waiter said that he told us the sides were extra. Gets the job done, but definitely room for improvement. I stopped in here on a Wednesday around 10pm and sat at the bar. It was pretty empty and quiet, just a couple other parties. There are a bunch of TVs so if you want to watch a game,this is a good spot. They have a bunch of daily specials, including $5 wines. I started with an apple martini and ordered wings ($0.75 ea on Wednesdays), mac and cheese, and onion rings. The bartender was nice and friendly, but did take awhile to get my second round, which was just a glass of prosecco. The food was very standard fried, greasy bar food, which is exactly what I was in the mood for, and I had plenty leftover for a later-in-the-night snack. I did notice the wine was charged full price instead of the discounted amount, but I was too tired and lazy to bring it up. This will serve you in a pinch, but I wouldn't add it to your CHI bucket list by any means. read more

They used to be really good, but they have been dropping the ball. We used to go there all the time, but lately...meh. The cut down their menu (the pot roast panini was the best thing on there and now it's gone). They also used to have an extensive Happy Hour menu. Now, it's barely anything and nothing really good. They used to bring you donut holes when you sat down, now you have to buy them as a dessert. Lastly, they cut your meal down from 2 sides to just one. Fairly new addition to the area. Would be a great place to go post concert/game as it is right outside Seatgeek Stadium. Very nicely decorated and a great outdoor patio area with a fire pit as an adding bonus. Food is pretty typical bar food, but it is good. Never had a problem with any of my meals. It's the brand new place in town! I saw this place as I was driving by a few days ago and I really wanted to try it out. Located in the ever developing area of Bridgeview with a slew of businesses to be opening up along side it, this place definitely disappoint. It's a sportsy southern themed place if you were to judge the appearance. The place isn't enormously large or tiny, it's the perfect size. Completely open lay out, there's a outdoor section too. Plenty of seats. Heather the bartender was very friendly and outstanding throughout our visit. She even told us about drinks that were not on the menu. They have a wide variety of food, drinks and alcohol to serve most of your needs. I ordered the chicken wrap which was great, the beans were great as well. Food was made in reasonable time. Prices are fair truthfully, there's tons of parking too might I add. Will definitely be coming here more after work! Barbecue sauce was not included. The sides we requested were baked beans, cole slaw, mac n cheese, and veggies. We received mac n cheese, baked beans, and veggies, all were okay, but there was no slaw. We also received a baked potato and the house made chips, which we did not order and really did not want. At least the donut holes were fresh and warm. Unfortunately, most of the meal went into the trash. It's very doubtful that we will try them again. read more

I have visited the Branding Iron several time since they have open on Bridgeview and have always been happy with there food and service. On a return visit for the first time since everything has been shut down, was the worst food and service I've ever had. The service was very slow the food was not what it used to be. I also noticed that half of the staff is not wearing masks or gloves. And some customers had metal utensils and glass cups. We were given plastic utensils and plastic cups which was fine. When asked to speak to a manager a young girl came over and when I asked why she did not have a mask on And why some of the wait staff did not have masks on. I was told that they do not have to enforce the mask policies. Also inquired why we were given plastic utensils while other tables had metal. I was told that everything was supposed to be plastic.When looking around the outdoor area almost all the tables had metal utensils. I'm very disappointed and probably will not be returning. Not only for the safety of their customers but for their staff they should be wearing mask and gloves when serving the public.I am a healthcare worker myself and understand how mask and loves can be very cumbersome when trying to work. I hope for the sake of their other customers that they follow some kind of guideline to protect themselves as well as the public. read more
