My biggest issue is the fact that the amenities we pay for aren't available AND/or in stable condition. It takes a very long time to get repairs taken care of. I still have repairs that need to be completed from my initial inspection upon moving in. If I would get reimbursed, I'd make the repairs, myself, because I am tired of waiting. I just know that wouldn't happen. However, I really appreciate Mr. Harvey, a maintenance man in the complex, for being available to assist me. The fitness area is not in stable condition for use, which is a huge concern for myself because that's an important amenity for me. I am still recovering from an injury because a machine didn't work properly. We pay for pest control, and honestly, I spray and handle pest control on my own because I have a child who is terrified of bugs and I don't ever see pest control come through. I am almost ALWAYS at home and I haven't seen a maintenance person or a pest control company come in my apartment and this is a monthly charge. I figured 90 days was enough time to give everyone enough time to handle everything, but unfortunately, I guess it's not. On the bright side, it's a fairly safe environment, the neighbors are friendly, convenient location, and I appreciate the small events they have for the community. Now that I've moved out, they're trying to charge me for normal wear and tear on the carpet--something that happens naturally over time and should be expected by any reasonable landlord. It's frustrating to be penalized on the way out when the standard they set upon move-in was so low. If you're considering living here, be prepared for poor maintenance and questionable management practices.
