I went to see Doc Brannigan today with a neck injury. Prior to my visit, I went through several sessions of PT and didn't get the results I was looking for. After my neck adjustment and acupuncture session, I was able to completely turn my head in both directions, which I haven't been able to do in the last few weeks. I was somewhat hesitant about chiropractic care initially, but after a few visits with Dr. Brannigan, I am a believer. My 5 year old daughter tried to show me something last night, and she commented on how I was able to turn my neck without my usual issue of having to turn my whole body. My overall feeling of mobility has increased significantly. It is a very calming environment where the staff is knowledgeable and really takes the time to go over and explain everything. My husband was recommended here by our massage therapist. He had some lower back issues and pinched nerves and scheduled with Dr. Branning. He came in for a few appts before I visited, and he really felt improvement right away! His visits are always pleasant so when I began having back issues, he made me an appt here. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they have great communication amongst themselves. Their questions are thorough to really figure out what's going on and they made sure they answered all of our questions. Dr. Branning is very professional and you can tell he loves what he does! Dr. Brannigan was recommended to me from a friend who had seen him. I was experiencing a lot of neck pain related to a motor vehicle accident and was having difficulty sleeping due to the discomfort. I was reluctant to take the muscle relaxants that my doctor had prescribed because I need to function and be alert for my job. Dr. Brannigan was very thorough and discussed with me my options of care. This was quite different from my medical doctor who just said he looked at the X-rays and wrote me a prescription - in all of about 3 minutes. Through Chiropractic therapies and the exercises that I was given I can say my pain was minimized first visit and totally relieved one week later. I was in Orland Park for work and woke up in the middle of the night with severe shoulder pain. Dr. Brannigan's office fit me in the same day I called (and was also in contact with my primary chiropractor from home). Even though this was my first visit to this office, the entire staff was exceptionally nurturing and treated me like I had been a patient there for years. After an exam, some adjustments and a follow-up visit a few days later, I was back at 100%. Dr. Brannigan was pleasantly personable, sympathetic, and offered excellent advice on how to avoid a reoccurrence of this condition during the remaining time of my travel. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. A complete "doc in the box". They had me do X rays and said that my neck was starting to shape the wrong way : I told my new chiropractor about it and he said that is the oldest trick in the book. They tried to convince me that I had more issues than I truly did. They said I needed a plan that required me to go to their office and see the doctor three times a week. That is completely unnecessary and on the brink of unhealthy for a healthy 24 year old female to be seeing a chiro without having major issue. They are money hungry and will do anything to get you in the door. read more

If I could leave less I would. I came here with lower back issues. I've seen chiropractors for 18 years, but this was my first visit here. The doctor came in and we talked about history, and I felt I could use an adjustment, he put a heating pad on me and left the room. 10 minutes later a nurse came in with a hand held massager. The chiropractor never returned, no adjustment, then moved me to a room to speak to a nutritionist. ????????? I never returned. Now I receive a bill for $100.00. For what, very shady. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I came here once and it cost me over $300. Spent 30 minutes going over why a chiropractor is necessary including videos and pamphlets and 1 on 1 convincing. Spent less than 2 minutes on the actual "adjustment". At over $300 for that one visit I can only imagine what the recommended 3 adjustments and 3 acupuncture visits per week would cost. Not to mention a $80 review check after every three visits that's not covered by insurance. I repeatedly stated I thought my back pain could be due to 2+ hour commutes by car per day and low exercise but they kept brushing that to the side. I ended buying a memory foam lumbar support for my car and a foam roller to use on my back that came with several exercises. I got both on amazon for under $60, my years of back pain are now gone. read more

If you don't run away, you may end up having to crawl away when they are finished with you. Unbelievable high pressure, having you sit through videos and classes and asking for referrals at every turn. Making promises they don't keep. At our LAST appointment, my daughter was half off the table when the doctor was making his adjustment, he was too busy talking with me to even notice. My appt. was supposed to be a special appt. to check and see how my progress was going, after the adjustment where he again adjusted a part of my back that hadn't hurted in years until I started seeing him for my neck. When I asked if I could see my x-rays (that were promised at my free adjustment but didn't happen until after I asked for them weeks into treatment) he just kinda said yeah ok and then said, "oh wait, move your head from side to side, up and down...okay" and then left. Then the massage therapist comes in, (some times it is the receptionist who just lightly pinches your back or another one who does a nice job) she does more of a deep tissue massage and is very nice, but she found something called a trigger in my back and now, four days later, I still can't sleep and every breath I take hurts. I walked out before my stretching exercises and no one even noticed. I could go on but you get the point... read more

SCAM. Their kid's day was nothing but a scam. Giving us low income families hope our children can be treated advertising as $10 kids days once a month only to have the 2nd time we come in them to tell me the price changed to $50! No phone call letting me know. Didn't tell us as soon as we came in...nope...they made us wait in the waiting room, get my son all excited to go in the room...all to tell us they can no longer do the kid's day pricing. Their reasoning made no sense either saying there's legality issues having kids pricing cheaper...lots of places do it & a lot of health practitioners even offer sliding scale for low income families. It's very disheartening they'd do this to parents with children. I'm extremely disappointed they tried to scam us. I would not trust this office! read more

I was referred here by someone at my doctors office and thought I would try it out. The first initial exam was fine, the follow up appointment is where they lost me. It felt very pushy, especially when given the payment options. I was told to sign something agreeing to certain payment terms, which I did not agree to. When I said I wasn't comfortable, I was given attitude. I was also given attitude when I didn't want to pre-schedule a certain number of appointments ahead of time. I wanted to talk everything over with my husband first; the whole thing just felt very "sales-y" and overly pushy. I left with a bad feeling. I was not impressed when my husbands place of business received a phone call from them asking about doing chiropractic presentations to their company. After my visit, I paid as a cash customer because my insurance was not figured out yet. Today, I receive a bill in the mail even though I've paid for the ONLY visit I had before I left there (aside from the initial which was FREE from a referral). They said they didn't charge me enough...another red flag! I've found a new practice who I feel much more comfortable with and was not pushed to agree/sign anything, no videos, pamphlets, pushes to get referrals. I have been seeing Dr. Brannigan for a little over a month now. When I intentionally came in, I was suffering with neck pain, lower back pain, could hardly bend over. My sleep was suffering greatly from this. In addition to mental health issues and plantar fasciitis pain in both heels, I was a mess! Today, I am able to move, bend, and sleep comfortably and feel a huge improvement in my mood. Due to acupuncture, my plantar fasciitis has been under control and I am able to stand for much longer periods of time. In addition to my care, I LOVE that this is a family-oriented clinic. My daughter is 5 and I have been bringing her in for preventative care so she will have a healthier spine and body as she grows older. Ever since she was potty trained, pooping has been a major issue, she holds it in and doesn't want to go. We've seen several doctors for this issue and she has taken many supplements and medication to no avail. Since she's been adjusted by Dr. Brannigan, in addition to some essential oils (that I notice are the same brand they have around the office) she has been pooping regularly and the consistency of her bowel movements are finally healthy. Lastly, Dr. Brannigan truly cares about his patients and is passionate about his work and helping people get out of pain and continue staying out of pain. The atmosphere is always friendly and I truly appreciate the time he and the whole staff takes to promptly see me and actually educate me on what's going on so that I'm not just taking their word for it. The facts are there for everyone to see and my results speak for themselves! I would and have highly recommended Dr. Brannigan to friends and loved ones. read more

Run away, don't walk! This was my first and last experience with a chiropractic clinic. I'm sure there are decent clinics out there, but this definitely is not one of them. I was greeted by an employee who took me on a "tour" of the facilities and went on about how much she loved her job. I then met a doctor who lectured me on the need of chiropractic medicine. From there, I met a technician who showed me lower back exercises, which at the time, was impossible to even attempt, since I was in pain. This same technician (who also loved his job) made mention that if I referred a certain number of new patients, I would receive a free massage. I was given a 2 minute adjustment. The second visit, a different doctor, and yet another lecture on the need of chiropractic medicine. I was given a 2 minute adjustment. This was followed by an employee, I believe their receptionist, who showed a presentation along with a handout stating the same. She then gave me a sheet of paper asking for new patient referrals, and I could receive a free massage. Talk about a sales push. FYI - they charge $$ for these redundant lectures, presentations, etc. Saving the best for last .... I didn't receive a treatment plan until visit 2. Why? Because the clinic confirms how many visits and what type of therapy your insurance will pay for. The better your insurance, the longer the treatment plan. Like Kevin, another reviewer, my questions were brushed aside. I purchased a new mattress and went to a physical therapist. My physician agreed to PT after I shared the fiasco of Brannigan Chiropractic. New mattress, physical therapy and recommended exercises is all it took to get my lower back in shape. I was very impressed with my experiences with this facility. The office is very clean, welcoming, and friendly. It feels professional without being too clinical. In the past I went to a naprapath for any issues, but from now on will go here. The staff took the time to explain to me what they're doing and what's actually going on with my body. They made helpful suggestions and I was happy with my adjustment. My fiance went there when he had some issues, and he went from not being able to turn his head at all to near perfect in 2 days. read more
