We were…read moreway too anxious to wait until 20 weeks to find out the gender of our baby with our OB, so we came here at 17 weeks for an ultrasound. They had us fill out a bunch of paperwork and then we went to a room with two huge ultrasound machines and a padded table. The technician placed a fresh towel on the table and helped my wife up. They ran a 2D ultrasound first to find the gender... a boy! Next they did some 4D videos. Finally, they had our technician, a trainee, and the manager all take 3D ultrasounds to test out different software settings on the machines. The whole thing maybe took a half hour. We brought a USB drive, so they uploaded all of the images and videos to it for free. In the end we got paid to find out the gender of our baby. It doesn't get much better than that!

Once the mistake was caught ( day of), I explained to them my situation and said I was only able to come the rest of that day or the next. The woman scoffed at me and was pretty rude considering they made the mistake. I guess the lesson is to watch carefully what you are scheduled for because someone else's carelessness can cost you the ability to take care of yourself and your health. Pretty sad Rayus. I was the last appointment on a Friday afternoon and my visit included special accommodations, which unexpectedly doubled the length of my visit. I was not made to feel rushed and at every step of my exam, the technicians used language to clearly guide me through the process. They were very gracious about it and handled me very carefully, ensuring my utmost safety.

For my procedure, I was told I could either pay $200 up front and they would not bill insurance OR they would bill insurance, but if insurance did not pay then my cost would be $400. I asked if I could pay the $200 up front, have them bill insurance, and if insurance paid, they would then reimburse my $200. They refused. Their policy is to refuse to bill insurance if you pay the "discounted" cost up front. If you choose to have them bill insurance and if insurance then pays, they essentially get paid twice-- once from the patient and once from the insurance company-- and they keep both payments. Quite a system. Patient beware.
