During my visit to PR, I stopped at Brasas. They have an outside area with tables, chairs, and a pool table. Inside, they have a bar area and a dining area. My experience here was nothing but amazing. The staff were all nice and our server was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food. I ordered shrimp mofongo with garlic sauce and it was delicious!!! Can't wait to return! read more

Place is at least a solid 8.5 out of 10. We had pulpo salad and churrasco Mofongo in salsa criolla and was pretty good. Our kids had the tres carnes Mofongo which they also enjoyed. We went on a Thursday night and there was a person singing live salsa which was a nice unexpected touch. Went with our teenage boys and they wanted to try out the billiard place downstairs afterwards, which we did. Was nice - had people of all ages and only costed us like $10 for two games. read more

Recommended by my bestie, we had a late lunch here. Had an appetizer of queso frito and some mofongo de pollo, both of which were good, but not excellent. Our server was friendly, but not overtly and the atmosphere was just ok (I don't like the sports bar scene). Parking spots can be kind of tight as it is located in an indoor/outdoor strip mall and the restrooms are located inside in a hallway separate from the restaurant. If I visit PR again, I wouldn't mind trying this restaurant again to give it a better comparison. read more

Place was amazing. Our food was delicious. The service was great!!! Overall best dinner in our entire week trip in Puerto Rico. The location was tricky. The address on the here sent us to a grocery store. So make sure to ask the people around and they all know where it's at. It was only a light further inside a plaza. Worth the find!!! We had the sirloin with veggies and rice. We order piña colada's and yes they are better than the original ones in San Juan. Our server was Mariel. She was great, sweet, and attentive! Service was impeccable. We came from NJ on a family vacation and found this place on Yelp last minute. Our waiter Christopher took care of us and was very attentive. He made recommendations for the people in our party that didnt speak Spanish and made us all feel comfortable and and unrushed. The food was delicious and seasoned well. We ordered 4 apps and 6 main courses. Everything came out quick and at the right temp. My ten year old daughter gave this place 10 stars. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. Delicious!! Great service. We tried the pernil and ribs. Ribs were very tender and tasty. The pernil was so flavorful, yum, yum!!! Pana tostones were really good. La atención de las meseras fue muy mínima y al terminar tuve que llevar mi propio plato hasta la barra del restaurante. Awful experience celebrating our wedding anniversary at Brasa. Salmon was over cook , plantains were not fresh . Ask for a rib eye and got a churrasco. Food was good. My youngest son ordered wings from the kids menu and Jr. Ordered a hamburger. My fiance had mofongo relleno de pollo and I had the carnivorous (ribs, steak strips and pork). The pork's flavor was not great at all and the steak strips were over cooked and dry... Very disappointed with the lack of customer service. Waiter was Yadiel, very friendly but just trying to hard to earn his tip instead of making us feel comfortable and enjoy our food. EPIC FAILURE! We were encouraged to order a specific appetizer (surtido for 2 people) that arrived 7min after the food. Our waiter said "the cooks are killing me today" like he was not responsible of taking care of us. I said that it wouldn't make sense at that point having the appetizer and our waiter said "oh no worries, I will give you a box so you can take it home" as he walked away. Omg! They did bring the appetizer to the table. When we got the tab, the appetizer was not removed and still untouched on top of the table. I asked kindly if that was adjusted and he said "no, do you still want the box?". If it was just me, I would've just got up and leave. I was so upset! But I decided to no be a jerk in front of my family...I prefer letting everyone know my experience and marking this restaurant as a NO GO for the next time I treat my family. To Brasas Bar and Grill management, take ownership in training your staff. This kid seems like hard worker however your lack of mentoring shows through your staff. read more

Asked for a burger medium with everything. Almost an hour later i get a burnt burger with lettuce tomatoes and onions. Could have gotten a better burger at the fast foods across the street. My wife asked for mofongo de churrasco en salsa de seta, tasted like ragu alfredo sauce with a couple of mushrooms dropped in. Even the drink was bad. Asked for iced tea it was sugar water totally ,undrinkable. Waiter made another which im pretty sure was from a powdered lipton jug and it was still too sweet.
