That did not happen and was never called to let me know that the part was not there even though the appointment was made 30 days prior. I was given every excuse that you can imagine and was told the part would be there that evening and they would start on it the first thing the next morning. Well that did not happen either and was told all kind of reasons about why it did not get there. Again was not called to let me know the part did not arrive and given more excuses. I was told by "the general manager" (ha ha) that it would be done first thing the next morning. Guess what that did not happen either so I went to pick up my truck and the battery was not able to start the truck and they jumped the truck and was told by the "general manager" not to shut the truck off because it would not start again. Had the battery tested and it is still a working battery and has been shut off many times. So this should tell you what you are dealing with at this dealership.

The day after we got home with the car we noticed hand prints on the ceiling of the car. We sent her pictures and she responded immediately. Cavender's General Manager, Craig Burton, contacted us the same day letting us know he had made arrangements to have the car detailed in our home town so we wouldn't have to travel to have them do it. He contacted us again the next day to make sure the car was cleaned to our satisfaction. The employees at Cavender made our whole experience easy. Glad we made the decision to shop with them!

I had the most frustrating and dishonest experience that I've ever had with a car dealership here…read more I found a 2025 Ford Bronco at this dealership that was exactly what I wanted, at a great price. I went in, test drove it, and initially had a positive experience with the saleswoman (Becky). Because I had just been in a car accident and was waiting to find out how much I'd receive for my totaled vehicle, I offered to put down a nonrefundable deposit to secure the car. She told me she would speak with her manager and get back to me the next business day. On Monday, instead of honoring that, she called to say that three other people were coming to look at the car. I immediately asked again to put down the deposit, and suddenly I was told they could no longer accept one--completely contradicting what I had been told before. At that point, I took a huge risk and started the paperwork anyway, despite not even knowing what my insurance payout would be yet. Then I was told they don't accept USAA financing and that I would need to apply for credit through their dealership. I did this immediately while still on the phone and asked her to review my application so we could move forward. After that, I was completely ghosted for SIX HOURS. When Becky finally responded, it was just to tell me the car had been sold. To make things worse, when I checked back, the same car was listed again at a higher price. This entire experience felt dishonest, misleading, and incredibly unprofessional--especially given that I was dealing with the stress of a recent car accident. I was ready to commit, tried multiple times to secure the vehicle, and was led on the entire time. If you're considering buying a car here, I would STRONGLY recommend being EXTREMELY cautious. Communication was poor, promises were not honored, and the overall process felt deceptive from start to finish.

On a recent trip from my home in Montgomery to the Hill Country, I experienced an unexpected detour…read morethat I now know was nothing short of God's protection. Warning lights came on in my SUV, and I felt a strong pull to turn around and head back 15 miles to Brenham. That decision, though inconvenient at the time, turned out to be a divine appointment. I was traveling alone with my six-year-old son, a fully loaded SUV, and two dogs--one of them just an eight-week-old puppy. My husband called ahead to Appel Ford and spoke with Mary, who told him to send me their way--that they would take care of me. What a profound understatement that turned out to be. Mary and the entire Appel Ford team went above and beyond anything I could have asked for. What could have been a stressful, overwhelming, and potentially dangerous situation was handled with such grace, kindness, and excellence. They were busy--no doubt about it--but they made room to inspect my vehicle quickly so I could get into a rental. Mary also reminded me that I had a Premium Care Package I had completely forgotten about, which helped tremendously with the rental process. What touched me the most was the way they cared for my whole family. The manager noticed I was lowering the windows for my dogs and invited me to bring them inside where it was cool, simply asking me to clean up if needed. The staff kindly helped with my son--offering him water, cleaning up when he spilled, showing him the restroom, and even watching him while I moved our things. They greeted and played with my dogs. Their kindness wasn't just professional--it was genuine. But Appel Ford wasn't done. The very next day, after repairing the sensor issue, they called my husband to report that they had heard a concerning roaring noise during the test drive. Upon further inspection, they discovered that the front driver's side wheel was so loose that it literally came off when they removed the hubcap. Their attention to detail and their refusal to dismiss what could have seemed like a minor issue quite literally saved our lives. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, they once again went the extra mile, processing everything quickly and offering to help me transfer all my things back from the rental. It would have been easy for anyone at that shop to say, "We're too busy." It would have been easy to overlook the sound, to do just the minimum. But they didn't. Because of their diligence and compassion, I am here today with my son and my dogs--safely back home with my family. Words cannot express my gratitude. I will be a customer for life. I've already told everyone I know and will continue to tell them--it is worth the drive to Brenham for service like this. I am reminded of Psalm 91:11-12: "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone." God's protection was evident that day, and Appel Ford was a vessel of His provision. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus in the way you served me and my family. -- Katherine T.

My husband recently bought a car from this dealership, and it has been a complete nightmare from day one. The car was not as advertised, arrived with a dent, and was missing the air compressor it claimed to include. We've had issue after issue ever since. They were responsible for issuing the license plate, and it took forever. We barely drove the car and immediately noticed more problems: The starter button was delayed, the windshield wiper fluid sprayer doesn't work at all, and just three weeks after purchase, the check engine light came on. A trusted mechanic confirmed transmission issues and said the battery needed replacement, explaining the starter issue. This is not just bad luck, it's clear the car was sold to us in defective condition. Even the mechanic we took it to said we should complain about being sold a lemon. To make things worse, the "forever warranty" that they constantly bring up covers very little. We attempted to reach out to the dealership to find a solution, and guess what? They GHOSTED us. The sales rep, MAURICIO, completely disappeared and showed zero accountability. The finance person and sales team were eager and quick when it came to closing the deal, but as soon as we needed help, SILENCE! The most shocking part? After my husband signed the financing agreement under a specific monthly payment, they sent him a new contract AFTER signing, claiming the bank required higher monthly payments. Completely MISLEADING and UNETHICAL! We are now out $1,800 for repairs on a car we've barely used -- while still making loan and insurance payments. When we finally spoke to the GM, all he agreed to help out with was the bad battery. He quickly retracted that offer when we asked for all relevant documents to be sent to us. They pulled a classic yo yo financing scam on us and all we wanted to do was speak to someone about our options. This was apparently too much for the GM so he won't even help with the battery now. There has been no accountability and NO HELP at all. This dealership lacks customer service, integrity, and basic respect for its customers. We are now filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and pursuing legal counsel for consumer protection. We are also requesting full documentation of the transaction. If you're thinking of buying a car here, DON'T. If something goes wrong with your vehicle, you will be completely on your own. This dealership will ignore you, avoid responsibility, and leave you with a defective car and a financial burden. Please, do yourself a favor and take your business to another local dealer.
