As a certified thrifty boy, I've been to my fair share of antique malls, particularly the massive gathering of them in Orange, CA. Compared to California, the Brass Armadillo is no slouch! I was quite impressed with the selection there. Also they were well organized too. I had never seen street names for different aisles in a warehouse like this, but they really do help. The organization is great too. Each stall is the same size, and there is even a small section with glass cases for smaller collections too. We spent a good hour and a half in here just perusing. My friend found a small latte cup for his espresso, and I was able to find a nice carbon steel pan for my steaks. The prices were attractive, and I'm positive there's something for everyone there. Give yourself a lot of time to get lost! The Brass Armadillo Antique Mall is a true stroll through times past. The amount of stuff in this mall is out of control -- my upcycling brain was on overdrive as I wandered about - so many options to give all this old stuff new life! The neighborhood is a little sketchy -- when I came in some lady was being accused of shoplifting and on the way out she was knocking things over and screaming at the top of her lungs - so that was something, LOL. They do have a little information kiosk when you arrive where you can grab a piece of paper that has a map of the store (the aisles have street names) and you can remind yourself where you saw something. They also have a little relaxation area with tables and chairs and restrooms -- which was nice, I always need to use the restroom! And it was well maintained. I did go right before Christmas and the place, to my surprise, was packed and the checkout line was very very long! But they seemed to be cycling people through fairly quickly. I didn't end up getting anything because I was on a schedule and didn't have time to really absorb it all -- so I will definitely be back when I have more time! read more

One stop spot for all your vintage goods! This place is like a time shuttle where you're walking around and see things from many moons ago. Talk about a blast from the past! They have everything from trinkets and old classic movies, and DVDs to plush animals, Pokémon cards, photo art, board games, clothes, shoes, home goods, fine China... the list goes on. Be prepared to spend at least an hour of your time here. Service is nice. Vendors are selling their own knicks and gadgets. Pretty decent price value on items. read more

Always a great selection here. Brass Armadillo is my favorite antique mall in the Valley, and is an almost weekly routine visit for me! I used to enjoy just walking through the furniture and trinkets, but now that I've been super into collecting Pokemon cards again (yay to healing your inner child!), we've been checking out some of the cases that sell cards and found some decent prices. Every staff member we have interacted with has been an absolute joy, everyone is so, so nice. I have no bad things to say, they literally have everything you might be looking for, for great prices. This has always been one of our go to spots when we're in the mood to go on that treasure hunt as we like to call it! This mall is very large so you definitely need a couple of hours to be able to browse through the aisles & if you find something large they'll hold it up front for you! They always seem to have some sort of sale going on with certain vendors so sometimes you can get a deal which is nice. The only downside in my opinion with this store is that the seller isn't physically there so there's no way that you can try to lower the price but that won't keep us from coming here. This store also has some great sales to get ready for the new seasons & they have a rewards program also which is not common with antique stores!! Bonus they're open late! read more

This warehouse truly has anything you could imagine! I spent 3 hours in there and barely scratched the surface. You need to be ready to really hunt to find treasures. Every booth is individually managed so the quality and price of items varies greatly. The staff were very helpful and regularly offered to bring your items up to the counter to hold for you so you don't have to lug them around. Some of the items inside locked cases didn't make sense to me though because it didn't correlate with how rare or valuable they were. read more

I really love antique stores, my home is full of cool items i've picked up over the years of thrifting and antiquing. I'm someone who looks more on the "alternative" side, tattoos, plugs, piercings. I have worked my fair share of retail jobs and I know when i'm being targeted. I love Brass Armadillo, I always start out at the glass cases to the right when you first enter the building. As i'm browsing the cases an older woman walks up and shakes the case in front of my face to ensure it's locked. I take note. It happens two more times and after the third I asked the woman if there was a reason multiple workers have come up specifically where i am to shake the case door. She mumbled something under her breath about shift changes. Sure. I handed the woman the items in my hand and asked her to bring them up front for me because I intend on purchasing them and glared at her. Brass Armadillo needs to train their employees better and not profile people just because they look different. People! be mindful that the elderly employees here and low key racist and will profile you. Do better. read more

I have lived in phoenix for over 20 years and have driven by this place countless times but had never been in. I'm not a big into antiques or collecting so I didn't have a reason to come here but my sister wanted to come exploring. Wowsers. We walked in and immediately it was visual overload. There is so much to see. I feel like I saw millions of items and still didn't come close to seeing it all. Anything you could think of from a collector perspective was there. It sucks you in. Every booth or space is a new adventure. Some of the booths even had a whole theme. There were spaces that said they would negotiate on the prices as well, but I honestly thought things were well priced (I used Google lens to find similar items and what they are selling for online). They had little carts and baskets too because your hands will fill up. It was so fun to find things that reminded me of my grandparents houses and things my mom used to keep. The staff were also very nice and just let us wander for hours unbothered. It was also well air conditioned. The only downside was that we left at night and the parking lot was a little sketchy. There was at four shirtless people walking around by car on their way through the parking lot to the QT. So, maybe just leave with people or during the day. I can't wait to bring my mother in law back because she loves places like this. read more

So if you love Vintage I am guessing this is what a weekend shopping trip is like in heaven. The Brass Armadillo is a huge antique mall like vendor space. Here at the BA they have aisles and aisles of vendors selling their wares. Lots of really cool items to look at and or buy, Expect to stay in the building for a few hours if you are like me. There is no running in to just take a fast peek or buy one thing hahah! Okay, I guess you literally could, but then I would say you have the willpower stamina of someone greater than me. I always have to look at everything and imagine the history behind the items. They have bathrooms. I am starting to include this information in my reviews since so many places are restricting bathroom usage now. There is plenty and close up parking. They have selling opportunities if you are a vendor. Call and ask about rates. They also have a frequent buyer club with discounts. Ask when you get there. It is not all vintage, but mostly. The last time I was in I got a very cool NYC purse made from a license plate. It is very unique. I love it and get so many compliments on it. read more

One of the best antique stores in the valley. Been coming here for about 20 years and they always have new stuff. This place is huge and just know you won't see everything in your first, or second visit. Something for everyone, big to small objects. I love the Brass Armadillo in Goodyear so I had to stop at this one. This location is similar, just smaller. Give yourself a couple of hours to leisurely browse and enjoy. I have found an Italian (Biancardi) antique black & gold umbrella in great condition ($50), it's just gorgeous. Also, found a horse brooch ($3) perfect for one of my cowboy hats. At the Goodyear location I've found a Bullhide cowboy hat, Beaver cowboy hat, and leather cowboy hat each under $40 which is incredible, they retail $60-120. I've also found a Begay Night Sky sterling horse ring for $90, sterling coyote earrings with inlay for $25, among many other great finds! read more

This place is full of junk. Don't bother if you're looking for legitimate antiques. Even the locked up stuff is crappy.

If you are new to Arizona and want a cool place to just walk around and peruse, THIS IS IT. The service is phenomenal, the number of vendors and variety of antiques are unmatched, and the prices are solid! It's been some time since we visited this location off the I-17. My guy and I were happy we stopped by. Loads of goodies to behold. I found many colorful items that I'd love to have. My other half perused the many book titles available. We spent more time than we anticipated but it was so well worth it. The Brass Armadillo offers spaces monthly to venders, and there's a 2 year wait for a space, it was 1.5 when I signed up, and waited patiently, checking in every few months for my space.. Then i learn a person got her space within a month, my point would be dont put an application in unless YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO WORKS THERE, youll be waiting forever. This place is just so cool. You can spend hours just walking through looking at the glasses cases, but don't forget to go down the aisles. There is so much fun stuff here. You will unquestionably walk out with something you can't live without. Disclaimer: I'm 65. I expect an "antique" store to be filled with stuff older than I am. That said, the people working here are all very nice and will help you find things. The place is crammed full of stuff, mostly post-1970. So vintage, yes. Antique, not so much. Lots of very nice turquoise and silver jewelry, a good range of a lot of other smalls. read more

I love this place. I'm a bit of a history buff AND a collector so this place is right up my alley. It's a really BIG place so I also get in plenty of steps each time I visit. It's like a combination of a museum, antique store, and flea market. If you frequently visit, be sure to enroll in the "antique army" program. You get points and can use them for discounts. This place regularly has sales and promotions where you get more points (than usual) for each purchase. I have to be careful when I come here because I could easily buy out the store! LOL read more

I love this place! As you walk in the person at the front desk always is so kind and greets us. The place is well organized, and is always clean. If you push the button for help, somebody comes immediately. And whoever is helping is always so friendly. All the cashiers are friendly as well.
