My family dinner at Braum's was a disappointment. There were machine parts laid out on the counter next to the register. The first cashier was impatient, the second was incompetent. A woman with a half covered badge that may have said "Lillian" struggled to hear our order over the din of other employees shouting about missing order components and missing customers. Then she input our order incorrectly and had to shout corrections herself. She dropped my change on the floor and said, "you don't really want those pennies do you?" What I didn't want was to deal with her anymore. The drink choices are awful, all the interesting flavored burgers have been removed from the menu, and they didn't have a full freezer of ice cream flavors either. If disappointment were tangible, Braum's could sell it in double scoops. read more

You will not be on payroll to conduct this task but if you want to make sure the job was done right you have to do it yourself: If you call them, be prepared to come back to make it right. Again you will not be reimbursed time or gas to do this. When I called, the manager was prepared to put my name on a list instead of refunding the missing items. Two kids meals both missing the chicken. I had a similar incident a while back, needless to say this disappointment will scare my children from all kids meals. Grumpy meals is what I seem to keep getting. I do take full responsibility because when McDonalds did it to me last time I didn't learn my lesson and check the bag myself. We all need to stop having consideration for the cars behind us. Empty those bags and check all your orders. It will slow down their ability to provide poor service to allot of people and just to a few. Don't expect a refund when they make mistakes by not giving you the product ordered. I'll have to file a complaint with BBB for the refund on the missing items. Since they are unprepared and unwilling to void out items charged to my card that I didn't receive. The food is always good, no problem there. I went at about 9:45 this morning, ordered breakfast and drink. It was $6 and some change. Have the girl at the window a $20. SHE HAD TO CALL SOMEONE OVER TO FIGURE OUT THE CHANGE. Holy crap, do you have a kindergarten education that you can't figure out the change of a purchase? You're computer TELLS YOU!! Anyway, after about 2 minutes I get my change. Drive to the next window, my food is sitting inside, I can see it. The girl that was called over to help the imbecile with the change situation is handing out food. After about 2 minutes, I decided to wait to see how long it would take to get me my food rather than honk or beat on the window. So after about 3 minutes total there, the girl who was 10 steps away decided to finally come give me my food, with a bad attitude also, I might say. Nobody cares about their jobs anymore I guess. Especially in fast food. Either way, this location needs some new employees, and make basic math knowledge a prerequisite to work there. read more

I usually have no problems with Braum's, but this afternoon, there was a very rude man behind the counter. I had to wait awhile at the register for anyone to even acknowledge me. There were two gentlemen behind the counter. They seemed to be more interested in the drive-thru than the ones who walked in. Of course, I was the only one in line waiting, & there were only two sets of couples in the dining room. One of the gentleman took my order, & I went & sat down to wait. Those coming into the store were getting ice cream cones & banana splits. I waited about 15-20 minutes, visiting w/ one of the couples already there. They finished & left so I waited some more. It seemed the drive-thru were all getting their orders so I started up to the front to check on my order. The other "gentleman" from behind the counter said someone will be with you in a minute. I opened my mouth, but he just reiterated very rudely, in a curt voice, "I said someone will be with you shortly"! I told him I already had my order in & wanted to check on its status. He completely ignored me & started in on another ice cream cone for one person standing there. I most assuredly DID NOT appreciate the way in which he spoke to me making NO effort to help me. Before I even knew who he was, I guessed he decided I wasn't worth his time. Another couple who saw what happened told me to tell the manager. By that time, they had my food out, but my shake had not been made so the lady from the kitchen kindly did that for me. I found out he was an area manager named Joey. Well, Joey needs some training in how to treat people!! There was no reason for him to speak to me the way he did! This particular Braun's locations is just awful. I've visited three times and never had a good experience. I grabbed a burger, fries and sundae at their drive-through a week or so after it opened. The vegetables on the burger were old and mushy, the burger itself was just "off" - the texture and taste was nasty - I took three bites then threw it away. The ice cream was very, very gritty and not pleasant at all. Besides the food, I wish I could tell you they've hired an awesome team of employees to staff this place, but I'd be lying. Braum's sends out coupons every month ($1 off milk, etc.). A month ago, I went in, got a few market items - including milk - and waited some time before anyone came to check me out. The guy couldn't get the coupons to run, it was a big deal and the transaction took 10 minutes longer than it should have. Today I went in and grabbed milk and another item. I had my $1 off coupon and since someone had just checked out in the market area, I figured I'd get through quickly. Nope. Check-out person ran away and I eventually had to use the buzzer to summon someone after waiting 5 minutes. Then the exact same debacle with the coupon occurred. Girl told me it wasn't going through because it "expired on the 15th". I had to point out it expired on the 15th of a next month. She couldn't get it to work, another girl eventually tried to help, but they couldn't figure it out. After 5 minutes of piddling with the register, the check-out girl was told to just take a dollar off. She finally said, "Okay, your total is $6.38. Run your card again." I pointed out the total on the scanner was $7.38, not $6.38 and I wouldn't run my card until the total looked right. She went back to being befuddled and I just finally walked without any of the stuff I went to buy because I didn't have the patience to wait another ten minutes to buy a stupid gallon of milk. I have a serious question - if Braum's is expecting to entice people in with coupons, wouldn't it behoove the business to ACTUALLY FREAKIN' TEACH THEIR STAFF HOW TO CREDIT THEM?!?! So terribly disappointed that Braum's has finally come to Lubbock and they are nothing like the ones I loved in Amarillo and Oklahoma back in the 90's. Braum's has decided to flood the area with tons of stores, while destroying their old fashion premises of offering decent food and training their employees. read more

The ice cream was delicious. The fudge and caramel were slightly grainy so will definitely order a cone next time only. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. They are looking to hire and seemed overwhelmed but they are doing their best. Hoping everyone is kind to them. read more

Was so excited when Lubbock got Braun's. This location is awful. 1st time I went there I waited at the drive-thru for around 10 minutes before someone even acknowledged I was there. The employee was not friendly at all over the mic and may as well have said, "What do you want?". They didn't have Apple Pay so I ended up leaving. Last night my wife went to pick up dinner. The burger was supposed to be a bacon dbl but there was no bacon on it when we got home. Needless to say, we'll never be going back here. read more

When we arrived, there were 6 employees sitting in the entrance talking and on cell phones. We were in line WAY TOO LONG, behind just one large family. There were at least ten people behind the counter but only three seemed to be working. At some point, the employees sitting at the front came back to "work," but still didn't seem to be doing anything. Once we made it through the line we tried to find a place to sit. ALL the large booths were FILTHY! I asked among the four employees standing at the drink machines if someone could please clean some off so we could sit down. I didn't think it fair that my son should clean it off. He has a job that he works at. I was ignored, although one person played with a bottle of cleaner and some paper towels but didn't make any move to clean anything. (He literally stood there taking towels off the paper towel roll and stacking them on each other). I went up to the counter and asked for the manager. She came from the back and told the young man to clean some tables and seats off. THREE TIMES! When he finally moseyed his way over, he commented to his friend that he had too much on his plate. He removed the salt and pepper shakers and advertisement from the table and placed them ON THE FLOOR while he made gestures of cleaning the tables and booth seats. I could not believe my eyes! The assistant manager (whom I spoke to earlier) just watched him do this and then would go back behind the wall where the grills were. We stood and ate while he "cleaned," but I couldn't stand the thought of sitting after what I saw. I have to say that the young ladies working behind the Ice cream counter were working hard. As for the rest, it was absolutely crazy how many employees were there and how little people were being helped. There should have been no dirty tables or seats anywhere. 1-28-2022. Came into the location on University and 82 in Lubbock TX and ordered a Strawberry and Poppyseed salad of which I have bragged about to so many as the very best salad I had had, until today. The salad was only about 1/2 full and had about 6 pieces of strawberries in it to equal to 1 whole strawberry, the chicken was cold and dry and usually its fresh and warm and tender. The salad was nothing at all compared to the past salads and will no longer tell others about how great they are. The young girl that waited on me, did not greet me, other than to ask what I wanted, she never said thank you or may I help you. I think I was interrupting their conversation If Braums are going to stay a part of the Lubbock you are going to have to step up and do better. We grew up with Braum's in the DFW area and it was also top notch! If you are gonna put in this many locations in LBK, you really need to up your game. We have tried several times, always giving the benefit of the doubt that the location is new. Our shakes were handed to us.  Had to ask for a carrier.  We were asked to pull up.  Shakes were leaking all over my lap waiting so long.  Huge mess! One of the shakes had a clump of black something in it causing vomiting from being grossed out! Bacon was burnt on the chicken club.  The double cheeseburger was supposed to be plain and dry due to allergies.  It was full of veggies and mayo so not edible. I am very disappointed. read more

I was so excited to hear that Lubbock was getting a Braum's and couldn't wait to check it out, especially their ice cream. I met a friend when they first opened for breakfast. To say that it was disgusting is an understatement. We were served this dried out prefab food on a Styrofoam plate and the sausage gravy was this translucent, gelatinous muck and it was GREY. So gross. The 2nd time I ran in to get a few grocery items for a sick friend and grabbed a half gallon of lime sherbet for myself. My daughter and I were so excited to try it but when we tasted it, it tasted like musty, spoiled milk. Then when I sniffed the container it smelled like a dirty foot that was just pulled out of a hot, old, rancid gym sock. I was told over the phone that could get my money back or exchange it even though my friend couldn't find the receipt. When it took it to the store, I was told that I could do neither. So I left the sherbet on the counter and told them to throw it in the garbage. I left and will never return. They suck. read more
