Obsessed. Saw a really hyped up post on LBK foodies so decided to check it out. It lived up to ALL the hype. We got the steak frites and salto rice/beef dish. Both were absolutely amazing. Also had the monte cristo appetizer, very good! Our table had the espresso martini, out of Eden martini and 90-806 bottle. All were very good! ONLY complaint was I wish there were listed options for sides. The fries are good but I just genuinely like a veggie side. Otherwise- perfect! Will be back! Service was great and "cousin" came by our table frequently. Also to note, it's not cheap and it's not fast. We knew all this going in so it wasn't an issue but something to consider if that would be a problem. Although, the price and time are completely justified. It's that good! read more

The food was not good. Chicken strips were mostly crust and lots of fat. The chicken fried steak was not good either. Mostly crust and meat didn't taste good and had gristle. The fries were over cooked and the mashed potatoes were bland. Food wood have been better at a fast food place and prices a lot less. Beware! They didn't give us a wine list and we asked for the house Chardonnay and the house Merlot, and the Chardonnay was $16 a glass and the Merlot was $14 a glass. I doubt that was the house wine. Went in later and ambiance felt a little drury , drinks were good, and the monte cristo roll ups were a fun take. Bulgogi cheesesteak was a little salty. I regret not taking a photo, but for the 2nd time I've ordered a sandwich from their menu: the shrimp one first and the bulgogi cheese steak on a return trip. Both times the filling of the sandwich was very sparse. The message it was sending was, "we're too cheap to fill this sandwich" - why was there like 3 little steak bites on the cheese steak? Same with the shrimp. Why are the sandwiches not filled up? For $16+ dollars I would at least expect a full sandwich. A heaping pile of fries does not distract from this. The drinks/cocktails are good, and the quality of food is good too. I have a problem with the portions for the price. read more

This may have actually been the most disappointing food I've ever had in Lubbock, I love local restaurants but this one just isn't it. This isn't to say this is the worst food in existence, but for the price point I can't recommend this place. Let me start by saying this restaurant seems to have a massive variation in the quality of its dishes. I imagine the positive reviews probably ordered some sort of specialty signature dishes as what I got was just reprehensible. Do not order the tomato soup and grilled cheese, don't even consider it. For $9 I got a small cup of soup and HALF of a sandwich, must of been pretty good for the price right?.... I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that when I accidentally burn grilled cheeses at home, they are still better in every category than what I received here. Zero flavor. The tomato soup looked really good, but also had such little flavor that dunking the grilled cheese in it actually made the grilled cheese worse. This meal would've been a tough sell if my 5 year old cousin made it for me when I was sick. My friend also gave their green beans cause they didn't want it... and I can see why, it was also horrifically bland. Also nabbed a few tater tots from the chicken steak and they were super breaded, not bad but not impressive. The "shining" star of the experience was the mulita I got as an appetizer, quite good, like a 3/5 good though, still rather dry and covered in cilantro, came with some sauce, but overall the best thing I had. The decor of the place was just baffling. High ceiling, high chairs, white walls, random TTU alumni adorning the walls, tvs with sports running. Seemingly trying to be a nice place, but the kind of nice place where you can watch the latest football game while having an overpriced beer and the worst grilled cheese of your life. The service I got was fine, on the lower side of quality (especially for the price point). I did like the brown overalls they were wearing, very steampunk. When I saw this place had an overwhelmingly positive reception, I was excited to go there, but this was one of the most disappointing places I've visited in Lubbock which sucks cause it's local. For $20 i got half a grilled cheese, worst than canned soup, and 3 mulitas (which I shared). Maybe to some they would say this was a middling experience, but have some standards for yourself people. I sincerely hope that I just had rotten luck picking the worst item on the menu, and this place is actually quite good, but that's all optimism and no reality. F + B became our most frequented local restaurant in 2024. We visited often when we were in town. The vibe is hipster casual and the food is good. They take standard dishes and add a little special twist that takes it up a notch. So while you can still get chicken strips (which are really good btw), you can also get a chicken katsu sando (chicken sandwich with Asian flair) and burgers with a splash of bacon jam. If I could give zero stars I would. The service was absolutely the worst. Not only slow and inattentive but rude as well. When I asked first extra dressing for my salad I was told "it's already on there". Sadly the food was mediocre as well. This is a very nice addition to the Lubbock dining scene. Zipped in for Saturday afternoon cocktails and an appetizer. Sat at the bar and had excellent service, especially from Duncan the bartender. Amazing happy hour drink and food specials daily 3-5PM. We enjoyed our drinks (Shandy 98 with extra honey, Neighborhood Mimosa cocktail) and the fried deviled eggs were legit. My fiancé and I wanted to try a new place and came across Neighborhood F+B! You will not be disappointed with their way of playing around with different flavors. They have dishes that are inspired by different parts of the world which I thought was the most creative theme any restaurant has ever established. The servers were so sweet to us and welcomed us as if we were part of their family. I would definitely call this place my regular spot now. My fiancé ordered their chicken lime curry with jasmine rice and I ordered their smash cheeseburger!! The burger was not dry at all!! And the chicken curry was so flavorful! We also ordered their chips and dip appetizer that had 3 different dipping sauces inspired by south asian flavors. Very family family friendly place and a great date spot! This is amazing place if you are looking for a great creative cocktail and a bite to eat. Atmosphere is trendy and vibrant, much needed for Lubbock. Plenty of space to either sit at the bar solo, date night, or everyone to catch up at a table. Staff were very friendly and helpful! I ordered the ceviche and tacos, both very fresh and inspiring. Wow. Just WOW. The service is beyond what I expected. I don't mean spend some $$ and I'll give you I'll kiss your booty mediocre service - but REAL West TX service. Genuine caring from the management running the place - checked on us multiple times - great food - 3x visited and extremely happy with every dish I've had. Then we made a special request - I won't go into details, but the management staff made it happen. In a place like New York, Vegas or even Austin, no way would they deliver on what Neighborhood F&B did!! West Texas is special in several ways, and Neighborhood F&B delivers the way most won't!! Stopped in for lunch over the weekend. Sounded like it might be a good place, and the building looked inviting. We were seated quickly, but the chairs were tall and slanted forward a bit. Kind of awkward to sit in, with no foot bar on the table to put your feet on. I know, an odd thing to talk about, but first thing we noticed. Service was friendly, but menus were just printed pieces of paper. First thing I noticed were how high the prices were. Sandwiches were all pushing $20. Other items were well over $20. We decided to try a couple of the sandwiches, thinking it might just be that good. We also ordered a couple of drinks. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time, which was a plus. However, we didn't get our drinks until we almost finished our meals. Had to ask a couple of times to get them. I just thought the food was expensive.... Drinks were priced very high. And nope, not once were we offered any discount for having to wait, etc. We then sat there for quite a while waiting to get our check, and then a while longer waiting to pay. Food was okay, fries were overdone and in little pieces. No bread, salad, etc with your meals. Beef and peppers on the sandwiches were kind of hard to bite through, which we didn't expect. I guess the point is, if you're going to charge high end prices for basic food, it needs to be able to back it up with quality, flavor, and quantity. Second, the service should match the prices. First, kudos to Cameron West for turning an eyesore into a neighborhood restaurant. Thank you. Having said that, the restaurant atmosphere leaves something to be desired. Sitting at one of the low tables is a dismal experience. We try to sit at the bar or a hightop. We recently sat outside on a Saturday, which was nice. Service is unpredictable and can be downright awful/terrible/insulting, but it seems as though the manager is making an effort to ensure customers are happy. Thank you for happy hour pricing. Was hoping for a better experience given it was recommended from a bartender from their sister company (Dirks.) I wanted to love the vibe of this place; however, the open floor plan and lack of decor/ furniture makes it really loud (almost like a food hall.) So if you're looking for somewhere to have a conversation, this may not be for you! It's a social spot for sure, but you'll be yelling at each other from across the table. I ordered the Lomo Saltado, and holy SH*T! Take heed of the SALT in Saltado..... I don't know if it marinated too long or what, but I couldn't even finish it due to the fact it was so salty. Had to order an additional side of jasmine rice due to the amount of marinade soaking the fries and rice. Which leads me to a question, French fries over a bed of jasmine rice???? C'mon now........ We had a group of 8 and had a great time! Food was excellent - not your ordinary menu, and that's why we liked it! Delicious meatballs, some of the best I've ever had! Husband and one of the boys had fried lasagna, it was amazing. Other son had chicken fried steak with bacon Jalepeno gravy - said it was probably the best he's ever had (and he's had plenty!) it was really good. I had the chicken and vegetable bowl, which had a little kick and was delicious! Great assortment of cocktails, beer, and wine. All in all, a good experience. We went late on a Saturday afternoon and it was not crowded. Nice ambiance. Wait staff was attentive and efficient. LOVE that they have some good alcohol free cocktails. Non drinkers like cocktails, too, and I wish more restaurants would jump on this bandwagon. We split the house salad which included shaved fennel and marcona almonds which was a nice combo. We shared two sandwiches, the Cuban and the Cod. The Cuban was excellent, great flavor and very much like similar sandwiches we have eaten at Cuban restaurants. The cod, and everything on it, was overwhelmed by the Nashville hot sauce. They could have used 1/4 the amount and it would have been a good sandwich. The fries are excellent and they give you a ton. Way too much, imho. Not a bad spot for a college town. read more

We made reservations for a busy Friday night, but we're seated right upon arrival. Perfect sized menu for a quick bite after work and a beverage or a full on date night. The fried lasagna was delicious and the breading wasn't too heavy for the dish. I wish there was a tad bit more sauce on the inside of the lasagna, but overall still a great dish.
