We decided to go for ice cream and the drive thru was packed so we parked and went inside. Inside was packed but everyone was waiting for food and the ice cream counter had no line. I ordered a large frozen yogurt and my bf ordered a 1 scoop sundae. The guy behind the counter handed me my ice cream in a cup even though I had ordered a cone, no big deal everyone looked super busy and the cup was fine. We waited in front of the cashier for 5 mins waiting to pay but everyone was ignoring us and at that point my bf wanted to just walk out without paying, I was like no they are just busy I'm sure someone will be over to take our money, but no we ended up flagging down someone and my bf ask if it was free or could someone come take our money. The girl who came to the register didn't know how to charge us so she called over the manager.She asked me what I had and I said it was a large frozen yogurt and she was like no that is not a large frozen yogurt, I said well thats what I asked for and this is what I got. Now keep in mind that I had already started eating it because we waited so long to try to pay. She rudely snatched it away from me and threw it in the trash. WTAF, then proceeds to grab a cup slightly smaller then the cup I had and yelled to the guys that they used the wrong cup and this was the cup they were suppose to use. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Mistakes happen and instead of throwing my ice cream away THAT I WAS ALREADY EATING, she should of just explained they put it in the wrong cup so next time it would be slightly smaller and charged us out. We're from out if town so we try to stop at Braums when we pass through. We were very disappointed today. Our food took almost 20 mins for one combo meal, after waiting 10 minutes to order. When we got to our hotel with the food, the burger had very little veggies on it. Just a couple of pieces of onion, barely any lettuce and no tomato or pickle at all. The burger did have Braum sauce on it but not enough to flavor the burger. The burger did taste good after I added some condiments. The fries were just ok. The cashier was nice but never apologized for my long wait. Sorry goes a long way. read more

I came in for ice cream, I know businesses are short of help so I will not complain about the long wait. What I will complain about is the lack of training. The employees serve , take money, and back to serving again, not once did I see any handwashing. I saw one employee collect and empty trash and with the same gloves go over and look inside freezers I assume to see if more ice cream was needed inside. Come on management, with the pandemic, you should be on top of this as they were all teens. I never saw a manager. The burger was good and frys pretty good as well. The burger was cold and I asked for extra mayo on the side, the cashier who had been touching money asked a cook to give it to her he didn't, so she went and grabbed a cup touched the inside with her contaminated hands and gave me extra mayo I didn't eat. Also the visible kitchen area was filthy, the dinning area filthy as well. The prices of this food is great however I will not return to this locations. Management needs to step up their game and start firing those that can't or won't work right. This is the third consecutive time I have gotten a shake from here with in the last few months. For many, many years, I just thought Braum's sold burgers and ice cream. It wasn't until a week ago when my big brother took us there to buy milk for my mom that I realized there was more to the place than grills and shakes. My bro swears that Braum's milk tastes fresher than other milk. Since I'm not a connoisseur of dairy milk (I usually drink soy), it's hard for me to give an opinion. But I trust my bro, so there you go. While we inside, I saw they had shelves lined with fresh fruit, a bevy of meat, cheese, eggs (real and fake for your health) and of course, ice cream. Everything was reasonably priced, too. Not too much late after my Columbus-style discovery, my younger bro and I ate there. He had a chicken sandwich w/fries while I had the 1/3 lb jalapeno burger w/fries and a cherry limeade. I love cherry limeades. They make me smile inside. And I'm a fan of their fries because they're crinkle-cut (those are the BEST kind of fries). My only complaint is that it took awhile to get our food. Definitely wouldn't call it fast food. But I suppose that's a sign that things are fresh and made to your order. Since we didn't get to have any ice cream, I can't quite give it the ultimate 5 stars. But next time I'm down south, I'm going to have a peanut butter sundae there and that'll tell the truth. read more

I have been coming to this Braum's pretty much for like twenty years or so. I enjoy there breakfasts, burgers and ice cream. I love the type of breakfast sausage they make here along with the gravy for the biscuits and gravy. Crinkle cut fries and good shakes. There little grocery store is convenient as well. I think there milk price is pretty competitive to any grocery stores also. You can also choose from a big selection of ice cream flavors to buy in half gallons and pints. Yes sometimes the drive thru line can be crazy and even inside gets packed. It's also not the cleanest Braum's I have ever been to but they are consistent with there food and ice cream. Plus there kids meal is a great value AND you get a milkshake with it, hard to find a deal like that anywhere. read more

Braums is usually great, but at this Braums the only thing I dont really like is that they have very rude staff and its not from one bad experience its now been several. First they are very slow with your order and make u wait a long time for something so simple, then they are very rude. We love love Braum's. They not only make their ice cream they have a totally awesome little grocery store you can buy fresh produce, cream, milk and meat at. Braum's truck their meat and milk in from their farm which is in Oklahoma. They own their own cows. They own their own chickens. They make their own cream, milk and cheese. They don't use antibiotics or hormones from what I was told. They also have stores that within a certain radius from the farm. They own their own trucks and ship to stores that are within the radius. They do this to ensure the freshest product. We visit Braum's to get sausage links during the fall and for a freeze during the summer. In between we buy pound cake and other staple items we may need. The service is always friendly. Great food and friendly service is the reason we return. read more

I love braums but this location has gotten so crazy since the cedar hill location closed. The line inside the store yesterday was legitimately out the door. I waited over half an hour for a sundae and when I finally got to the front I was told they were out of brownie for my sundae. They had already announced they were out of shortbread but hadn't announced anything about running out of brownie. and after waiting so long in line I couldn't just leave empty handed! They really need more staff, a bigger work space and more product to keep up with the demand. Love the ice cream but be prepared to wait a while, whether inside or drive thru! I just left Braums and I waited in line for a while as usual. When I approached the speaker to order, the young man that came on was very professional and listened very well to get my order correct. I had very picky riders with me that wanted very specific things and he was able to get the order right the first time. I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and although I did not go into the store, I did notice that the window to pay was also used as a mini "storage". That was strange. The lines outside are crazy long, so I recommend going inside and ordering burgers. There have been mistakes made in orders a few times (the wrong bun, missing condiments or whatever), but what keeps me pleased is their response to those errors. They never fail to make it right. Lost a star simply for what can be long wait times, especially around meal times -- but this is understandable partially because who doesn't love the food and ice cream here? Some of the management (Ms. Gloria), and ladies that work in the grocery section are particularly excellent in serving quality customer service. I recommend this place. read more

I have always been a fan of Braum's for over 25 years because of the tasty food and great people watching opportunities! I used to go to the Red Bird Lane location until it closed down many years ago and now I frequent the Cockrell Hill location. The service at this location is abysmal, especially through the drive through. I visited this location on February 22, 2019 to pick up some food for my dad and I literally waited in the drive thru line for 15 min and only moved 1 car length forward. I got out of the car and went in since I did not have 30-40 min to wait in the drive thru. It took 5 minutes before I was acknowledged and able to place my meal order. Approximately 10 minutes later, I was walking out the door with my food. Meanwhile, all the cars in the drive thru line were still waiting to place their order. If this were an isolated incident, then I would not have wasted my time posting a yelp review, but this (I.e. poor service and long wait time) has been going on for a long time. Unfortunately, it will probably be a long time before I eat another Braum's meal! The experience no longer reminds me of my childhood. read more

Two things: I went in for groceries and asked an employee if there was someone who was available to help me check out. She told me I would have to find someone at the order area. Personally even if I was on break and a customer needed help I would get someone to help them not just sit and tell them to find someone! A few days later I went with my family to get ice cream. We decided the drive thru was too long and went inside. Wow! The dirty counters and trash covered floor was pretty concerning!
