Stopped by Hill City Burgers in Cedar Hill today, and let me just say...I got what I wanted....good food and service‼ I ordered the Bacon Cheese , and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The was perfectly crispy, and the beef patty had that ideal thickness. I paired it with the onion rings, which were light, crunchy, and packed with flavor. The cherry on top? Customer service was A1. For real, for real, these are the BEST turkey burgers anywhere! Better than Chapps, better than Mudhook, better than everybody! For starters, the patties are hand made. They are also well seasoned and juicy and not dry (as some beef burgers tend to be). Service is very fast and friendly. I believe you can order ahead online but my in-person order only took about 5 minutes. Highly recommend giving them a try! read more

I actually went to this area to try another restaurant only to be greeted with a sign that said 'closed for a catering event.' It was a nice distance away so Yelp to the rescue as far as finding something else in the area to try. That's how I ended up at Hill City Burgers. I ordered a simple bacon cheeseburger to go. The burger did taste like a good old-fashioned homestyle burger. However, the bun was a little too toasted, and it took away from the taste somewhat. Other than that, it was pretty good. read more

Stumbled upon Hill City Burgers today and WOW -- what a find! We ordered the jalapeño and bacon cheeseburgers, and let me tell you... they were BOMBBB. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and had that perfectly messy, mouthwatering bite that lets you know it's the real deal!! They say they're famous for their philly cheesesteaks so I definitely want to try next time! What really made the experience even better was the service. Upon entry of this restaurant I was not pleased with the smell of this place. It smelled like it needs a good deep cleaning! It honestly smelled of roach spray or poor ventilation of many fried items. I ordered a hamburger with home cut fries and kool-aid. The kool-aid needed more ice. The burger was hot but I do not think it was cooked to order. The taste was not one of a fresh patty . There was a minimum wait of 10 mins or less. The fries were cooked to order and were delicious. The fried mushrooms were tasty and freshly cooked. There was a light batter and seasoned well. Okay, so I am not a big burger person because I'm spoiled on the corner store ones I used to get back in the day. Today's my birthday, so I decided I wanted to give them a try for something different. The lady at their fish place told me about them opening last week. My son and I ordered, and I got the Royal, and he got a double meat Jalepeno. We brought it home instead of eating there and she asked me to tell her what I thought next time since I wasn't eating there. So this burger Ommmgggggg, it was soooo good!!! Fresh, handmade patty, grilled bun & wrapped in paper with the toothpick. Even the fries with the skin were delicious . I know where I will be getting my burgers when I'm in the mood. I have already told my friends before I could even finish it. This is a mom-n-pop located in an open-area shopping plaza. The food was good - turkey burger with fries and a drink. The customer service was excellent. Very friendly. As for the ambiance, it was quiet with a TV showing sports with the volume on low when I was there. This place deserves at least a visit for those with burger fever. The gentleman after me ordered a shake and he gave it a high marks. My bias towards family-owned establishments may be evident, but today's world needs more places like this, not less. read more

Wanted a real hamburger and I most certainly got one. Pulled up walked in and ordered a double royal burger with jalapeños and pepper Jack- the jalapeño burger but double meat. My eyes were most certainly bigger than my stomach but dayuuuuuuuumn it's delicious and will not be wasted. Messy as all get out but that was to be expected. I was still lucky enough to catch someone who was parked directly in front of the restaurant leaving. I walked in around lunch time , the establishment was empty. Has an old school hip hop feel to it . Menu on the wall, a couple of high bar tables for dinning In, and the coolest rap booth with handing mic prop !!! Guy who was standing behind the counter at the time of my visit (maybe manager/owner) was on laptop with another gentleman.. I received No greeting / acknowledgment, although I was definitely seen/looked at . A Really sweet girl with a puff ball ponytail came from the back to get my order. I explained to her I just wanted something quick that I could snack on while I drive , and I asked about the fries with meat . And requested what she recommended between the two that she told me about ( one with ground beef and the other with jerk chicken). Jerk chicken it was !!! She suggested cheese , but I'm lactose intolerant, I knew I would be out and about for a while , and eating while I drive between meetings/appointments, so I didn't want anything too messy. Order came out quickly , nice and hot .. and she gave their house sauce to go with the jerk chicken fries, which to me was a 2 out of 10 because I'm not a huge fan of sweets, and it reminded me of teriyaki sauce. Fries were too crunchy, and that's my own personal opinion/problem. Because The menu clearly states crispy fries. I just personally don't like crispy fries. The jerk chicken was as tasty! But if I could make a recommendation, I'd say that the jerk chicken fries would hit real hard if the chicken was shredded instead of cubed . It wasn't a bad experience at all. This isn't a tiny street taco--it's loaded. You get brisket, salsa negra, avocado crema, and pickled onions. The balance works really well. The salsa brings some acidity to cut through the fat, while the crema smooths everything out. Every bite comes together nicely. As for the brisket itself, the seasoning is solid but not overly aggressive. Personally, I'd like a bit more bark--it was a little thin for my taste. That said, the smoke ring is very prominent, and you can taste that deeper smoke flavor. Texture-wise, it was very tender--easily cut with a plastic fork. I did catch it later in the afternoon, and the lean slices were just a bit on the dry side for me. Overall, the vibe here is awesome and the tacos are legit. This is a spot I'll definitely be coming back to--looking forward to giving the brisket another shot, plus trying the pork ribs and some sides.

So I'm a burger guy and tried a lot of them in dallas. This is one of the best burgers I had. Well seasoned and I don't know what kind of cheese that was but it was on point. Now I only have it at a 4 because I'm not a fan of the fries, could just be me but I'm not a fries person overall so no big deal. And lemonade was outstanding I will be back next Saturday. The atmosphere here is non-existent. There are a couple of TVs to watch if you are dining alone, and some old Dairy Queen-sryle booths for seating. The counter you order from is more plexiglass and masking tape than is reasonable, yet, despite that, they still manage to scrape out some of the most delicious food you'll ever taste on a budget. I like the booths, if that was unclear. They are a worn, smooth wood that conforms to your body, and nothing beats a napkin dispenser at the table, except maybe some better napkins. They provide the ones from your school cafeteria here. If you need to go to the restroom while your here, get ready for a wild ride. It's in a weird spot and there's usually a slew of boxes in the way. Anytime I am near this place, I will be stopping in for another one of those incredible Philly cheesesteaks. Whoever is working in the kitchen is doing an excellent job because the quality of the food was far better than the service I received at the counter. It's disappointing because this place has the potential to be one of my favorites based on the food alone. I would gladly come back for another burger, but I really hope management addresses the customer service at the front. Great food can bring people in, but rude interactions can easily drive customers away.
