I used to come to this place all the time to get a full set of acrylics and pedicures done but I only come for pedicures now. Every time I've gotten a full set of acrylics, for some reason each person accidentally cuts my skin when they're getting rid of my cuticles. Two out of the 4 times I have been cut, the nail stylist placed nail polish remover on the cut which made it burn and I honestly don't know why they even placed nail polish remover on the cut. I think they thought they were disinfecting it but it actually made things worse. I don't know why I continue to get a full set here but I definitely don't recommend to anyone to get full sets of acrylics here. Although that has happened many times. I enjoy getting pedicures here and still come around once in a while since I've never had an issue with that. read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did. They have very decent prices, and it seems plenty clean to the naked eye. However, this is the first time in many years of getting pedicures that I have developed some sort of itchy rash on both my legs. It could just be an allergic reaction to something they used, but this has never happened to me before. Also, I've never had a french manicure where they left the nail bare and only painted the tip. Seems like cheating to me, and doesn't look as good. Plus, they guy clipped my cuticles so close that I've got dozens of painful shreds of skin creeping up my fingers. Fingernails and toenails are not well filed and are developing snags two days post-manicure. Not terribly pleased. Just glad I didn't pay more. read more

I've been going to this salon for the past year and I've always gotten really great service whether it's nails, pedicure or waxing. I was happy to find this place. Till just now! I had gotten a pedicure and a no chip manicure on 6/26 because the next day I was leaving for NYC for 9 days. The day after I arrived in NYC which was the 29th I noticed that my nails were bubbling and pealing on the edges. Now I've gotten no chip from there a dozen times and I've never had this happen and it lasts for me a good 3-4 weeks. When I discovered it I was in the middle of doing something in NYC so I took photos so that I could show them when I got back. By 30th of June all of the nail polish completely peeled off. It was almost like it was regular nail polish not a no chip. So I got back a couple of days ago and I just went in there now to show them what happened because no chip isn't cheap. I wasn't expecting a refund, I just wanted them redone. I even said I would tip whoever fixed them. First of all she laughed at me immediately when I told her what happened. She said what happened was normal process of no chip. I was like you're saying that it's normal for no chip to peel off after 3 days? She basically said that since it's been almost 2 weeks that there's nothing that she can do because its normal for no chip to come off. Even though I just told her that it came off a couple of days after I got them done. I even showed her the pics which had the date and time I took the pics. She tells me that she needs to look in the computer for the transaction to show that I even was there on the 26th even though I pulled up and showed her the charge on my account. Even after she finds the transaction she looks at me and is like "what do you want me to do" in this snotty attitude. Then she proceeds to talk to all of the workers in her native tongue and it was completely obvious it was about me because they all started looking at me and laughing while shaking their heads. I've been patient up until this point. I've already been in there for 10 mins. I told her that I would just like them to be redone and in a snotty voice she told me that we don't have time for this and I'll have to come back later. At this point I just walked out. Like I said I wasn't asking for refund I just wanted them redone. And instead of just taking care of the customer right away she turned into an investigation and I ended up standing there for 20 mins while she argued with me. I paid for a service that wasn't done properly and all I was asking for was them to be redone! Won't be going back there! read more

Found Bravia Nail Spa here on Yelp, and so glad I chose here to get a full set of gel nails! My technician was Lyndsey, she was so kind and polite to me, the whole staff was. My naked nails were terrible and in dire need of a full set for the new year, I left there so pleased with the fabulous job Lyndsey did! I have nothing but great things to say about this place! Best nail salon in the area! New ownership much better! Gets crazy busy on weekends! Phone first...

This was the only nail place I was coming to for my nails for years. I stopped coming here after the last time I went in for a fill. They said it would be a little bit of a wait, no problem, nail shops are always busy and I'm used to waiting. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I was brought over to a station. I wanted a fill and no-chip, I'll admit my nails were a bit overdue for a fill but immediately the man said no you need a new set, I'm guessing this was done to get me in a chair before I could leave because I then proceeded to sit for 40 minutes soaking the nails off. Finally, the man came back and began taking off my old set, my fingers were burning and my skin looked white and dry from the alcohol I had soaked in for so long. After he was finished taking off my nails he walked away and said someone would be with me shortly. After more waiting I was asked to move to a different station where finally, another man began to do my nails. Under no circumstances should a customer have to wait over an hour without being informed. Looking back, I would've walked out. However at the time I kept thinking oh maybe now it's my turn, especially after I was seated. Not to mention the shop really wasn't that busy and employees were sitting at open stations on their phones. Although this should have been my last time here, after a few months I decided to go back for a pedicure yesterday. I've never had such a short pedicure in my life. It was rushed through, my cuticles weren't pushed back/trimmed, my nails were clipped/filed crooked, and she roughly was speeding through scrubbing my feet with that purple pumice-like thing that ended up cutting me. After that the flip flops were put on my feet and I asked, do you still do the lotion? Which she laughed out loud at and made a comment to her friend which seemed like she was annoyed. Then she literally barely rubbed the lotion on, no massage like usual. I've never had someone paint my toes so fast either, I got home to notice the clear coat was dabbed on leaving a visible dot on each nail. And my toenails weren't even fully covered in polish. At the end she stood up and started removing the liner from the tub with my feet still resting on the ledge, she also pulled the towel from under my feet without saying a word. So I assumed we were done. Usually they carry your shoes and purse over to the drying station, which usually I wouldn't care about, but the fact everything else was rushed through I found it rude that they didn't. When we got to the drying table they were already at a station doing each other's nails. Now we know why they rushed. No one ever said thank you or good bye so on top of the terrible service I didn't tip (usually tip very generously as I am in the service industry and rely on tips) when she saw I wasn't tipping she glared up at me. I have been going to Bravia on a regular basis for 4+ years now. I have lived in Aurora/Oswego/Naperville area for just over 7 years and have been to just about every nail place around but I never found one where I was consistently happy with the work and/or the cleanliness of the salon met my "OCD" standards. Bravia is a very nice, extremely clean, spacious, comfortable, nail salon. I've have had acrylic nails put on and filled regularly there, had my acrylics taken off, had manicures, pedicures, and just quick polish changes. I have also brought my young daughters in with me and the staff is great with them and have painted their nails as well. My nails have always turned out perfect and I have never felt like I, or someone else could've done a better job which is why I always end up back at Bravia. Pricing is comparable to other salons and the area, although I have known Bravia to ever run any specials, have coupons etc. but the place is almost always full so they probably don't need to. The staff is usually very friendly, especially Jessica and Lee and all of the guys. The reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 are the lack of any specials, especially a combo mani/pedi price like other salons in the area; lack of a website or any social media presence; and a sometimes standoffish feeling from a select few staff. Overall, I really won't go anywhere else, even though I just get a basic manicure and basic pedicure (once in awhile) simply because the salon is so clean, everything is sterile, the polish hasn't been added to, and if I mess up a nail within a day or so of getting them done Bravia is great about fixing it. read more

I love this place. I go to Mai but I recommend you make an appointment because they are always busy. If I can't catch Mai then I go to Christine although I'm sure they all will take care of you. I get the no chip and honey princess every 3 weeks along with eyebrow wax and it's about $85. Used to be one of my favorite places, but I went last night with a 6:30 pedicure appointment. They sat me within 10 minutes, but didn't touch my feet for almost an hour. Worst part is I made the appointment with a friend. By the time they started my feet, she was 75% done with her pedicure and had to wait for me. That was really annoying since we had plans later. Yes, they were busy for a Thursday, but it's not like I just walked in. We made appointments. Anyway, they close at 8 so they rushed through my pedicure. Called for an appointment to fix my nail that started to crack on one side. I called this salon because they did an awesome job with another repair the week before. The visit was fine up until the nail tech got out the drill to use on the no chip coating on my nail. I simply said, "be careful with the drill on my natural nail". He went into explaining how he has to use it on the acrylic, which I understood but had nothing to do with what I asked of him. After that, he was annoyed and it showed. When I got to the register he tells me he was told to tell me they don't fix other people's problems. What? I was just there last week and they happily fixed another nail. And, when I called for an appointment I told them they did not do my nails. If this is the policy, it should have stated during the call. It's important to note that since the tech got annoyed in my asking him to be careful shows they have more of a "take it or leave it" service style and does not value what the customer wants. read more

I went into Bravia tonight hoping they could fit me in because they were so busy due to kids going back to school. I only waited about ten minutes and the staff was so welcoming. A man named Hat ended up doing my nails and I can't begin to explain how great of a job he did. After moving to Oswego less then a month ago and putting off my mani/pedi due to dealing with the relocating stresses, I decided it was time to get myself in to do my regular upkeeping. "Where to go?" was my big question as my old nail salon was now over an hour away. I had tried a few different places in the area while in the house hunting phase and was less than impressed with their quality and techniques and very displeased with their end products. I decided to give Bravia Nails a shot as I had passed by there several times while doing some shopping in the area and I could not be more pleased with this wonderful hidden gem! Their team was extremely professional, accommodating and friendly. The salon was very clean and kept up nicely. They took their time and didn't rush through while paying close attention to every detail. The impeccable technique that was done by Hat (the shop manager) was notably impressive. I have the gel nails and he made them look so natural that you would think they were my real nails under the polish. The product that was used was high-quality and the color selection was vast that I couldn't decided which color I liked the best due to wide range of choices. Needless to say, I will be returning to Bravia Nails as a regular loyal customer. After going here for a couple of pedicures and a few manicures over the past 6 months, I'm done. It's never been great but I knew I was getting what I paid for. Over time you miss people speaking English around you and you do catch on when they are talking about you!! This last time was the icing on the cake. It was the weekend before Christmas and I was getting a manicure. I felt rushed to pick my color as the nail tech stared at me. When I sat down I was still next to the colors so I switched mine. The girl next to me was also trying to get a different color. Her nail tech seemed uninterested in helping so I was handing her colors since I was sitting right there. Of course I also could understand her since I speak English fluently! After a while, the nail tech, Lindsay, asked me if I was finished. I wanted to say more than you know as that will be my last visit. I never stopped Lindsay's service while helping the lady next to me so I'm not sure why it was bothersome to her. You don't give good customer service, you talk about us in Vietnamese and you act like there is no other place for us to go. How wrong you are! Not all of the employees are as rude as Lindsay was that day but I don't feel I can continue to patronize an establishment who doesn't value customer service. Do not go here for an eyebrow wax. I should've known when they said they didn't have a waxing room, and I had sit in a chair in front of ppl getting pedicures. I started going to Bravia after some of my coworkers said nothing but great things about it. I didn't have the greatest experience last time... Wasn't too happy with my nails and the kid that did them was probably 16 years old. I went in on my lunch today to get my no chip taken off and new no chip on. I called before I got there and she said to come on in. When I got there I notice numerous people waiting and asked how lunch, she told me not long (which they always do because they don't want you to go elsewhere.) After 15 minutes of waiting (my lunch is only an hour) I finally left. They didn't even start soaking my current no-chip off. If she would have told me when I called that they had a wait, I would have just gone after work but now they completely lost me as a client. I spent half of my lunch sitting in a nail salon waiting and the other half driving. I work in Naperville and drove out to Oswego because I liked this place and they have a lot of no chip color options. Another lady was waiting and had an appointment at 2:00, they took her at 1:30 even though she said she was early and would wait because OTHER PEOPLE HAD APPOINTMENTS BEFORE HER. Yet they still took her and started her. I will be trying somewhere else going forward because clearly they don't value customers. read more

Horrible customer service! The lady was on her cell phone majority of my pedicure and she even answered a phone call during it as well. During my full set I was getting put on she had attitude the entire time and even yelled at me for what I wanted to do which was a subtle French... Nothing crazy! Zero stars-is negative an option? First time we went-girls were offered flowers on their nails. I ask if it is extra, tech says no. Time to pay-they say $3 extra per girl for flowers-I said I asked if it was extra and I wouldn't have gotten otherwise. They all start yelling back and forth in Vietnamese-and I am told if I don't pay they'll take it off. I'm embarrassed for my girls-so I agree to pay-then they tell me $6 extra each. I am now wondering where the cameras are and who's playing the joke. They tell me because it was on hands and feet (4 digits total)-I owe $6 extra. She runs my card, I ask if I can include tip-she says no-I should've asked before she ran card. I sullenly go tip each tech $5/ea on what should've been a $12/ea job-feel embarrassed and humiliated. Then an apparent regular customer speaks up and says I should've spoken better English. That they don't understand it very well, and I should've asked what is the cost, not does it come with. Fast forward a month, let's give it another try. This time I make an appt-when I call woman asks what time-I ask what's best-for 2 Butterfly chairs with polish nails/toes and flowers for both-she says 9a. We come at opening-one other woman in front of us-girls go to back with lady and gentleman, I go back and confirm it is ok to do flowers and I know it's extra. Gentleman all but dismisses/ignores me-but I figure I got this-I know what to expect this time...I even brought cash for tips. Girls nails are drying so I go to counter and offer to pay the bill-the employees start talking amongst each other again in Vietnamese-I say I know it's $12/girl, plus another $6 each. She tells me no-it's $30 for one girl, $33 for the other. Now I am really looking for the cameras. I say no-I know for a fact what I made the appts for and what I requested-polish only-my daughter HATES pedicures. The gentleman then yells I am a liar, says whatever, and I am charged the total I expected anyway. Then when I tipped him, he balked at my tip. I am beyond done with this place, if I thought a report to the BBB would make a difference I would-but they will continue to do this bait and switch. Ironically, when I looked into filing a complaint today I found out they own the one in Montgomery-I was there once years ago and my friend and I witnessed a customer become belligerent over her bill, refusing to pay what they were charging-and the police were called by a customer. I think there is a scam going on-let's pretend we can't understand English or do math, and then you get to suffer for it. Never again, I can promise you that. Sad part is they do a nice job-they need to work on their ethics and customer service. read more
