Well, they convinced him to have her do no-chip. Ok. I wouldn't have gone for it if I were there but, whatever. Come to find that they charged him for an acrylic and French manicure! I have never spent longer in a nail salon than I did today but for good reason. Yesterday I made the mistake of trying somewhere new and they totally botched my nails. It took almost an hour just to remove the old set because they used so much gel. I was very excited to come to this salon, because of the reviews & photos of "previous work" , which I'm starting to think are fake & I'm now realizing are posted by the staff at the salon. I paid $80 (after tip. I'm a nice person & still tipped) Im going to post pictures of what I asked for & what I ended up getting. The initial design was simple lines with a simple flower next to it. After he attempted it, & thought it looked fine (it did not in anyway look like the picture) so I asked him to take it off & to just do little flowers instead, which he agreed too. After asking him twice to redo the design (including having to ask him to redo the flowers once as well) I ended up just staying quiet, paying the bill & leaving because I didn't wanna be "THAT GIRL" who continously asked in a salon full of people for him to keep redoing the simple design that was given. Considering these "harder designs he's done in the past." Now, After the fact, I'm realizing I should've just asked him to paint all of my nails a solid color so I wouldn't be as disappointed as I was leaving.. I got home & filed off the "designs" & repainted those nails. To say the least, I will NOT be returning or recommending people to this salon. read more

Traveling with my 7 year old granddaughter who has ASD. She had previously backed out of getting a pedicure but felt ready now and wanted to go with her mom and me. I searched for a place that offered children's services. I chose America's Sweetheart and hoped for the best. From the moment we walked in and Hannah greeted us and spoke directly to my granddaughter instead of just to us I knew we were in the right place. She discussed colors and told my granddaughter she didn't have to pick just one shade of pink. So my granddaughter chose 3. We were seated in pedicure chairs together and Hannah focused her attention on my granddaughter while my daughter-in-law and I had equally great technicians. The smile never left my granddaughter's face the whole time. She asked if Hannah could put a strawberry on her big toe and Hannah went above and beyond painting three, perfect tiny strawberries on each of her tiny big toenails. The experience could not have been better. My granddaughter told everyone we met that day about her new friend Hannah and insisted on showing them her strawberry toes. Thank you, Hannah, for being an amazingly kind human! P.S. We were all happy with our manicures and pedicures. They all did a great job! read more

It was my first time coming to this salon and Tom did such an amazing job on my nails! I had gotten a gel full set with a coffin shape and he did not disappoint! He made sure to shape my nails the way I wanted and was so sweet to consider I was comfortable with the length, shape, color, etc. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating as I had came with a group of 5 people all getting full services. On top of that, we were all done with our services in less than an hour and a half! I was also very happy with the precautions the staff have been taking amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Your temperature is checked and recorded and everyone is required to wear a mask. In addition, the salon was the cleanest one I had ever seen! Really like this place. Only down side I would have to say is BOOK AN APPOINTMENT ahead of time. I had to wait close to an hour for a regular manicure. Place is very very clean and modern. LOTS of nail polishes choices. They use FRESH tool packets that way you know you're not getting a weird infection. I NEED to come back for a pedicure. They have a back lounge that is quiet and dark with candles and they really go to work. I was watching this girl massaging a customer and she really went in. Took her time and gave a nice massage I was so envious not skimpy at all! My hand/arm massage was great too. 14.00 for a regular mani. This is the first place I have been at where they have WARM lotion. They use a machine that heats up the lotion and also have one at the dry station so you can use some before you leave. It's great! It has been a couple years since I was last here but I came today out of convenience with the same friend. We both got no chip manicures. It is awkward to paw through baskets of color samples on huge keyrings at the front desk when you're trying to pick the polish you want, but we finally both found something we liked and settled in. The manicure itself was nice and the warmed cream at the end an extra bonus. But when we were a ways down 59 I realized that one of my thumbnails wasn't fully painted and part of it looked like it hadn't been fully "baked", though the manicurist kept checking to make sure the light was on and that my hand was fully inside (the UV oven is awkwardly in front of you below the table, essentially in your lap). The texture also seemed grainy or powdery, which wasn't the case for my friend. So we went back. I talked to Tom at the desk, who took a look and noticed that the same thing had happened on my other thumb, as well as another finger. He deftly repaired the three nails and wiped all my nails down with alcohol, which removed the strange texture (he postulated that it may have been lotion residue). He apologized for the trouble and we went on our way, but it was annoying to have to make the return trip. This place was quite busy, so lots of people were crowded into the not-big space, with Dr. Phil and Judge Judy playing silently above it all. Between the cramped quarters and the error, I'm not likely to be back, though I thank Tom for his repair work. read more

Unfortunately there has been a lot of turn over for the past 2 years. This salon used to be owned by someone else and now it's under new management. All of their great techs have left and went to new salons. I think there are maybe 4 or 5 now. Each table use to have someone, now it's a ghost town. Everytime I go in a customer is complaining about the poor service or product. The new owner is young and inexperienced and she is running the place into the ground. I've been receiving manicures and pedicures for over a decade. Sometimes the nail technician clips your skin. But in my latest visit to America's Sweethear, the technician clipped the skin above the nail bed. She cut me completely off bed. I began bleeding. She continued to grab my hand and pull it towards her. I politely but firmly said "Please let my hand go". She kept pulling towards her, and I repeated again. There was clearly a language barrier, and somebody younger stepped in. They tried to use some product on me, but refused. I just asked for 30 seconds with a cotton swab to allow the bleeding to stop. The technician was so abrasive with the situation. I can see I was clipped multiple times across my fingers and toes. This was highly unusual for any service I have received over a decade. I am placing bandaids and neosporin where I can, hoping there is no infection. When I arrived, I specifically asked the nail polish on my toes matched the no-chip color on my manicure. Despite injury, I allowed the technician to complete the manicure. Only to see the color is not at all what I wanted, and clearly so different from the pedicure color. This was a horrible experience. I hope it doesn't happen to anybody else. I still paid a full price of $68, with no apology from the owner. read more

I have acrylics and they didn't over file my natural nail for my fill in, PLUS, the acrylic was thin (which I love) and does not look bulky or unnatural. The manager did my nails and he was so attentive to the style I wanted. I will literally only ever come here. I thought I would give a review on America's Sweetheart Nail Spa since Covid 19! I just went for a mani pedi today and want to tell you how wonderfully clean and sanitized this salon is. Upon entering, they took my temperature and sanitized my hands. I went into the back of the salon for my pedicure to find a plexiglass glass shield between every pedicure customer and salon worker. Their instruments are all new for each customer. After completing this service, I went to the nail department and they had the plexiglass again installed between the customer and salon worker. I am a very fussy customer, and this salon is so clean. No worries here!! Try this salon, you will never go anywhere else! Oh! I have been going there for approx 8 years! They are family run and the nicest people you ever want to meet. Tom, Andy, Kevin, Cate, Rachel, Tao are all wonderful! It is like family when I go in there! read more

I cannot even tell you how many times I have come to this place and tried as many different technicians as they have that are able to do my nails. After trying gel, dip, acrylic, no chip manicure. I feel ripped off. I always ask price before but I dont always ask price of other options. They told me when the dip didnt work to try 3 coats to make it thicker and stronger. Then when those still didnt last and would chip away or lift up from my nail, I was told by one lady the 3 coats of dip makes it easier to break. I understand my nails seem to be a special case that nothing wants to stick to. So I asked what would be the best option and cheapest so i can still come get the color changed and get them done but dont spend 40 to 50 every week to 10 days. They told me to do acrylic full set... within 4 days 6 nails broke. I went back to get the remainder of them removed today and to get a no chip color. It was still 35 fucking dollars. I remember paying 5 dollars to get your nails painted.. now call it gel and its 20 more... I'm not asking for a mani too....I just want no chip color put on my nails...the bottle of nail polish isnt even 20 dollars. Fuck me for not being able to paint my own nails huh? read more

One they started kind of far away from my cuticle lime so they looked a little grown out when I got them, no big deal. I love that they use liners for each pedicure tub and replace them after each use - it's a small note, but definitely plays a major role in the cleanliness of the space.
