I've been a loyal customer here for years, but after today I will never be returning. I drove 20 minutes after a long, stressful day just to get my nails done, only to find out Cici was off. Fang was there, and when I politely asked if she could do my nails since I'm busy the rest of the week, she flat-out refused and spitefully told me to come back when Cici is working because "she does them better." I have NEVER been treated like this at a business I've supported for years. It was embarrassing, unprofessional, and honestly shocking -- even the other customers in the salon looked surprised. No paying, loyal client should ever be turned away like that. Customer service here has clearly gone downhill. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

This used to be the best place to go. Been coming here for 6yrs. Now they take people in the order of how much they're paying instead of 1st come 1 served. Fannie took a girl who was getting a full set (at least $70 plus tip) who came in after my daughter & I, instead of my daughter who's was waiting for her for over 40 mins! The employees are always nice and typically suggest the upselling of products, most of the time I choose the cheapest option and they offer nice deals for only $5 more. I don't know the names of the nail techs, but they always do great work on me. I haven't seen many recent reviews so I decided to add my own. The tech took her time but was efficient, and super careful while painting the design on my nails. It's always a friendly atmosphere and they have really great prices. My daughter and I had pedicures done on a Sunday morning. We are very happy with the results. We bought the basic with extra $5 salt rub. It was great! I came here after a long day at work looking to get a fill and relax. I was greeted very rudely with "what do you want" and after waiting a long time I was finally directed to a chair. The man was rude for the beginning. I wanted to know if we were now working with my real nails after having tips for a few months. I showed him the picture of what I wanted and he asked me for $20 up front. I handed him cash and he started working on my nails. After asking him if he understood what I wanted he got upset, screaming at me in another language. He then proceeded to ask the customer next to me if my nails looked like the picture. She said no, and he stormed off. Another woman asked if she could work on my nails I said no and that I would like my money back. After being yelled out in front of my daughter, I didn't think this place deserved my business. In short, if you are looking for a ghetto nail salon, with the workers that will scream at you and act completely unprofessional, this is your place. If you want a salon that doesn't change out any of their tools and you would like to be at risk for fungus; this place is for you. If you wish to leave with this manicure, this place is for you. Funny though, I've been described by so many as sweet and respectful, I'm completely put off by this behavior-who wants this level of confrontation from a business especially from a well paying, good tipping client? I'm not a rude human being by far, and manners and respect are huge fundamental behaviors that I look for in small businesses. I'd actually give this place a 1.5 star review if I could but I'm giving it two stars since the services provided were satisfactory. I'm funny about who touches my body so I typically frequent the same nail salons. You can't always trust that all salons value cleanliness and safety so I'm cautious about where I go. The other day I found myself with some time to kill so I stopped in for a pedicure with my mom. The sign in the window said the pedicure would be $15 which made the prospect of having our nails done even more enticing. I typically pay $25+ in downtown Chicago. We walked in and a gentleman seated close to the entrance greeted us immediately. He told us to select the colors we wanted and went to tell the nail techs in the rear of the business to expect us. Two women did our pedicures. One was young and the other was older. The older woman had short red hair and glasses. She did my pedicure. She was ROUGH. I'd never experienced pain before while having a pedicure but she was extremely heavy handed. She pressed down hard when she was using the varies instruments. When I talked to my mom afterwards she said the younger tech was rough as well. The women worked like robots. No talking or pleasantries were exchanged between us. They worked like it was almost a bother to have us there. You could sense that they just wanted to complete our pedicures and get us out of there. For this reason we opted to skip receiving manicures which we were initially thinking about. We chose the basic manicure with the $5 spa treatment addition. I thought it was a rip off but my mom wanted to do it so I went with it. The biggest thing I noticed was that they did apply a base coat or a top coat. They put the polish on (2 coats) and that was it. I've never been to a nail salon that skips the base/top coat. That was BS in the highest order but what do you expect for $20? As they say, you get what you pay for... We tipped the ladies $3 each instead of the $5 they would have received if the service was above average. One of the women (younger) came up for tip and simply walked away. No thank you or anything. It was beyond rude and disconcerting. Skip this place. Surely there are better salons in the area more worthy of your hard earned money. read more

I came in to get a full set of new acrylics. I asked for square. Clearly I didn't get what I wanted.. The person who did my nails was bashing and talking bad about me! Basically judging me. I went end of August within 2 days of getting a no chip I was back at shop getting 3 nails fixed. Then again 2 days later more nails needed to be repaired. I gave them another chance on the 6th of October the same day that I received a no chip the polished literally peeled right off of my nail. After being turned away from my usual salon due to time I discovered this salon by total coincidence ! The location is hidden in a corner of mason square plaza . The outside is very discreet so I had to walk to the door and look inside. I decided to walk in after seeing there were people being serviced. My first impression was that the salon was clean! They have spa chairs for pedicures and a large variety of nail polish colors (gel as well) to choose from. I was greeted and serviced within 5 minutes of walking in. I came in to have a gel manicure($25) which is a great deal imo. I was in and out in less than 35 minutes. Overall my service was good, quick and satisfactory. I came to the salon wanting to get a full set on my toes with pedi. I asked for a delux pedi for my mom. As I began with my pedi I asked the lady what my service included. She proceeded to comment and talk to the rest of her coworkers although she heard my question. I asked what my mom was getting charged so that I knew before hand what I was expected to pay. The girl sitting next to me asked for the same pedicure and she got a lot more accommodating treatments then I did. That was a red flag. I then I asked the lady to please fix my tips as they were not the correct size. They didn't meet each corner of my toe on several toes. She "fixed" the situation by saying that she would file. Never actually taking my concerns seriously. Tips were crooked and still looked awful. Which I did let her know. The pedi was done and nothing was fixed. I then asked to speak to a manager and the lady doing my pedi told me she was the manager. She kept asking if I wanted a discount. Telling me to sit down so she could soak them off. I let her know that I wasn't asking for either, and I simply wanted to let the owner know, that this kind of service was not ok. Specially what you pay for. I payed 75for my toes and 55$ for my mother. She then let me know that her boss was in china and that she could "give me the phone to china" or that I would "have to wait u til august - mid September" to get to speak to her boss. What kind of customer service is that? It was all around ridiculous customer service. Also, when engaging in a private conversation between my mother and I. My nail tech got in my face and demanded I tel her what I was saying. Um excuse me? She then began ranting to her friends and I asked if everything was ok? She stated she wasn't talking about me. As if I asked if she was talking about me Horrible customer service. Even worse work. I noticed the scrubbing foams were being recycled, which is not up to code. Ceilings are leaking AND there is a ridiculous amount of fruit flies in the space. Which means they probably leave food/sweets out. Would give this place zero stars if I could, would not recommend.
