I'm not sure how long this place has been open, but I am so happy I noticed it and decided to give it a try! On Seneca St just off Transit (Behind Altons a few hundred feet). Absolutely loved this meal! There is plenty of variety on the menu with some tempting specials. Prices are pretty reasonable and have a very comfortable dining experience. Our waitress was great, very attentive without hovering. Last but not least, the food was incredible! Stuffed hot peppers were some of the best we've ever had. Salad was super fresh with more than enough dressing. I ordered the Soprano, OMG soooo good! My wife got a Panini and house chips. She really enjoyed her meal too. My friend and I split the Turkey Cape Codder sandwich and Cuban panini. All the ingredients on the Cape Codder melded well together. The cranberry mayo was more subtle than I thought it would be. I would have liked a little bit more of a sweet/tart punch for the mayo. Both my friend and I liked that the panini wasn't overly buttered/greasy, but had a nice crunch. The pork was tender and the Dijon mayo had a great flavor. We enjoyed both sandwiches and the chips that they came with it. FYI- The chips are dangerous - they were perfectly salted with an addictive crunch. Our other friend had one of the special of the day, a steak sandwich that came with fries. She enjoyed it as well. Other specials included a turkey club, chip dip burger, and big mac burger. All were in the ~$10.99-12.99 price range. The service was average and our food arrived in a timely manner. Fantastic food! I have passed this place for years and finally ordered take out. A veggie pasta dish as well as a carbonara. Each came with either soup or salad. Reasonably priced. My veggie dish was spectacular! Freshly sauteed in season veggies. Atop penne. My personal seasoning taste is kind of screwy right now. Initially I felt that the dish didn't have enough. After letting it sit for a bit, everything was just right. I don't believe the carbonara was "true" carbonara. Thicker and saucier. DAMN tasty! Loved the food. Plan on coming back for the steak. Visited here for the first time on a Tuesday with 3 friends after hearing good things about this restaurant. Not sure if tonight was an off night but service was terrible, one friend had to ask 3 times for a glass of water. We sat with our menus for 35 minutes while drinks went empty and no one came back to our table. We were the 3rd table dining when we started at 5:30 and the place was filling and others that came in after us got apps or dinner before we even ordered. We shouldn't have to flag a server for everything. We seemed to be an afterthought. After we called her over, she stood at the end of the table without a word and my friend said "guess I'll order". 15 minutes for each drink refill, and 30 minutes to get our food. We had 4 different people serving us drinks and dinner... I had a wilted Mediterranean salad (jarred "grilled" vegetables, two carrot pieces, some zucchini and roasted red peppers - only the carrot pieces were "grilled") , no bread, no croutons, not with the cost. The Buffalo Chicken wrap, and buffalo chicken salad looked good, the bbq mixer also looked good. We shouldn't have to ask for our drinks, twice, or the check twice... when you make the customers feel like a burden, we won't be returning... read more

4 of us went to have dinner there this evening. We were the 3rd table to be seated. It took forever for our orders to be taken, and we had to flag our waitress over to do that . One friend requested a glass of water 3 times. We waited 30+ minutes for our dinners to be served as we watched larger and smaller parties served appetizers and then dinners before us. We had to wave the server over for everything. Arrived at 5:30 and didn't leave until almost 8:30!! 3 hours to have dinner, drinks, the bills to be picked up off the table, etc. and this with 4 different servers taking care of us. My meal was good, although I wouldn't call a small wing flat and pointy part an actual piece of chicken. There was a breast with the meal, but when I read 2 pieces of chicken, I expected 2 full pieces of chicken. The ribs were good. Despite that, I won't be back as the service was awful. read more

I wanted to love this little place, but my Veggie Delight was less than delightful. Putting a sandwich in a panini press does not a panini make. If sourdough is the bread of choice, it needs to be brushed with oil or butter. This sandwich was dry, dry, dry. The olive relish was tasty and gorgonzola is one of my all-time favorites, but the roasted vegetables didn't have any of the caramelization one would expect. Disappointingly bland. The rest of our group was happy with their selections from the Gourmet Sandwich section of the menu. However, I was impressed with our server. I ordered a split of Prosecco and the waitress was a long time in returning. She apologized profusely, but she had looked everywhere, and they were apparently out of Prosecco. Most wait staff would have given up a lot sooner, so kudos for the extra effort. I see a lot of positive reviews, so maybe I just hit on an off day for vegetable paninis. Stopped in for dinner tonight around 7:30pm I'm still in a food coma. The tortilini was so delicious and large serving that I couldn't finish it. The shrimp scampi had huge pieces of shrimp and was also delicious. Both meals came with soup or salad. I got the beer cheddar soup and it was good but I would call it potato cheddar soup as there was no hint of beer flavor to it. Our waitress Tammy was great. Hidden on the corner of transit and Seneca best food around! The hours are amazing! (open for lunch! Not many places are anymore) Service is always extra friendly. They have a full bar, and the restaurant is so cozy. I can't rave enough about the food either. . A very unassuming place, this hidden gem on Seneca Street serves up a wonderful meal in a very clean environment. For an appetizer we had the stuffed hot peppers, caution peppers are spicy but enjoyed them allot. Despite the fact that Gordon Ramsay says that you shouldn't grill lettuce, I had the grilled romaine hearts which were delicious. Topped with tomatoes, red onion, bacon and blue cheese crumbles and drizzled with balsamic. It is so very dirty and I am not sure if anyone has given it a thorough cleaning in quite some time. The bins and the decor are all dusty and dirty and not what you'd expect to see at all. We are pretty hard to impress but Bravo really blew us away tonight. It's a Friday during lent but we weren't feeling the typical fish fry (but I have heard theirs is good if that's what you are in the mood for). For take out we got the artichoke fritters, clam chowder, seafood con vodka pasta, and the peanut butter lava cake. Every single thing was some of the best versions of those dishes we've ever had. The clam chowder was definitely homemade and better than any other I've ever had in Buffalo, really it's only rival was the one I had from one of the places it originated the chowda co. in Boston. The dip that came with the battered artichokes was a perfect complement to their flavor profile. The seafood in the pasta was super fresh, not fishy at all, and the vodka sauce was addicting. We weren't expecting too much with dessert just assumed the flavor would be pretty similar to a standard piece of peanut butter pie..... we were wrong. It was luxurious, so fluffy and light like a peanut butter mousse with a peanut topping that we fought over and a swoonworthy jam that surprised us in the middle, we both said it's one of the best desserts we've ever had and it took everything we had not to get back in the car to get another one. The very best part is my husband and I split everything so it was a pretty affordable for a fresh-from scratch-bistro style meal, everything on their menu is a great value and portions were good; the seafood pasta fed us both and was chockful of clams, shrimp, and baby scallops, where can you get a dish like that for $22 any more? Everywhere we know for a similar dish is over $30. I believe we saw one of the owners as we were waiting for our food to be ready to go and she was very amiable and quick to make sure we were taken care of, you could tell she elegantly wore a lot of hats but still seemed calm and kind. Have had food from here twice, once inside and once for take out. For lunch inside I had a reuben with a cup of beer cheese soup. The soup was tasty but I added some hot sauce for some added flavor. The reuben was very nice, not overly stuffed with corned beef as they often are. A good proportion of beef to sauerkraut and cheese in my opinion. My boyfriend had the fried chicken meal which came with four pieces of fried chicken; breast, two thighs and a drumstick. The chicken had a very crispy and tasty batter that managed to stay crispy even after keeping the leftovers in the fridge from lunch until evening. We also tried the chili which had a good ratio of meat and was tasty. The macaroni salad was very decent too. The inside of the restaurant was clean and pretty quiet at lunch time on a weekday. For take out on a weekend night I had chicken parm, which is the first chicken parm in WNY that I haven't been thrilled with. Basic spaghetti and sauce with a huge thick butterflied chicken breast on top instead of the usual crispy chicken filet. The breading on the chicken was not crispy and I do not think this was due to being in the box too long. While the chicken was good enough, the texture and treatment took away from the chicken parm. The breadstick that came with it also wasn't that great. Something with seasoning I think. My boyfriend had a cajun chicken alfredo which he seemed to enjoy but agreed that his breadstick wasn't very good. This place is pretty hopping after dark and on weekends but has a nice sized parking lot. read more

On a recent Thursday night , we found the cafe almost full. The two servers were busy, efficient and polite. However service was slow. There was a private party in the back room as well There were four of us having dinner. Two people enjoyed meals from the daily specials. Mini meatball stroganoff with soup and Italian baked cod with spaghetti. The other two diners chose eggplant parm and chicken parm. All dinners came with soup or salad The salads were simple but fresh and good. Chicken noodle soup and meatball soup were both very good The fish was fresh and seasoned well. Both Parmesan dinners were left under the broiler a bit too long, making the cheese burnt around the edges It was my first experience at Bravo. My family loves Bravo. We always go there for family birthdays at Bravo. They do a great job with big groups. They never let us down with the excellent staff and food. They have a variety of food for all, from Italian to sandwiches to steak. My family loves the carrot cake for the birthdays. I had the chicken parm. It was extremely good, I really like there sauce. My favorite thing to add to any Italian meal there is their meatballs. My niece ordered a panini and loves their chips, my mom got the spaghetti parm . We went to Bravo for lunch with a group of people, one of which is allergic to gluten and ordered a sandwich with a gluten free roll. When our food came out, my friend assumed the roll she had been given was gluten free as that is what she had requested. She was halfway through her meal when a member of the kitchen staff came out and asked to take her plate. She stated the roll was not Gluten free and they "were very sorry". She offered a gluten free roll at that time point but my friend declined as she had already ingested gluten and the damage was done. Bravo did not comp her meal, or offer any further apologies or explanations. Within an hour or so, my friend was extremely ill. So ill that she needed to leave work and be seen by medical professionals to ensure she was okay. My friend spoke with an employee at Bravo on the phone later that day. They stated again they were sorry and that they would let the owners know. My friend requested a phone call back from the owners and she has yet to receive one nearly a week later. If you have a food allergy, I would highly recommend staying away from this establishment. read more

Food wasn't bad, I had the mandarin orange salad with chicken. The chicken was obviously pre-cooked and barely warm. My girlfriend got the beef on weck and was very happy with it. The problem really came when I tried to use a coupon from a local "Night Out" book. The coupon called for 4.00 off a menu item. The waitress (and bartender she conferred with) said that it was only good for a desert. This was obviously incorrect as the coupon clearly stated the discount was for any menu item. Long story short, they refused to honor it. The $4 is definitely not the issue but rather the restaurants refusal to honor the discount. You would think good customer service would have prevailed but that is rare nowadays. I will spend my money elsewhere. read more

I came here with Grandma and Ricky along with my Great Aunt Suzy (who was visiting from Florida), we came in and we looked at the Menu for 5 minutes. We decided for an appetizer we'd split the Artichoke Fritters with a Gorgonzola and Sour Cream Dipping Sauce (Artichokes were soft and tender) but I wasn't crazy about the dipping sauce (It had a funky taste like Bleu Cheese), we also ordered some Fried Calamari. For our Entrees: Suzy got the Breaded Fantail Shrimp, Rick got the Beef on Weck, Grandma got the Haddock Parmigiana and I got the Steak in the Grass (16 Ounce Strip Steak over a bed of Spinach and topped with Fantail Shrimp) Surf n Turf. The 2nd time I came here instead of ordering an appetizer I ordered a Martini (Watermelon Blush Martini, so Refreshing) Rick and Grandma both got a Bowl of Minestrone Soup. For our Entrees Grandma got the Pecan Crusted Salmon and Rick got the Seafood con Vodka and I got one of their Specials: Homemade 3-Cheese Ravioli topped with a Beef Bolognese Sauce (So Good). As all 50 people mingled she sought them our with their drink. Appetizers were calamari..just a tad spicy and served with a warm marinara sauce, and stuffed hot banana peppers...VERY hot! Both were perfect. The French onion soup was very flavorful and smothered in melted cheese...The seafood platter consisted of 2 large scallops, 2 large grilled shrimp, and haddock perfectly prepared and seasoned. The barbecued ribs were covered in a delicious tangy (and a little sweet) sauce, and so tender the meat almost fell off the bones. They were probably the best I've had anywhere. The service was faultless, and there was enough food left to satisfy our appetites the following night, too! Try it, you won't be disappointed. read more

I came here for a baby shower a few weeks ago and was very impressed. It was a Saturday morning, so the restaurant was closed, but I would definitely come back to check out their dinner menu. The place was nice and clean. The banquet room was cozy, yet roomy enough for a bunch of women ooh-ing and aww-ing over burp cloths and diaper cream. Ha! It was elegant without being chintzy. There are almost no restaurants in the West Seneca area that serve food worthy of the price they charge. Bravo Cafe is an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. Their prices are more than fair, but the quality of their food is absolutely top shelf. great pasta, great steaks, great sandwiches and a specials menu with great variety. I just can't imagine how anyone would be disappointed and I promise you will return. Suggestions: Rack of ribs (insanely big), Steak Sandwhich (Standing Ovation), almost anything off the specials menu. Drink prices also reasonable. read more

We visited this restaurant during restaurant week and ordered the pasta for two special for $20.13. We ordered the jambalaya pasta and cajun chicken pasta and were served two small plates of pasta, no salad, no bread. The food was good not great. We could have gone to applebees for 2 for 20 and not have gone home hungry. Perhaps they should skip the pasta special for future restaurant weeks. read more

We've been coming here for several years now... ever since they opened the 5781 Seneca location (they were down the street before). Over the years we have tried just about everything on the menu and they are always willing to adjust the recipe if needed - if you don't like hot peppers, they are happy to use roasted red peppers - or no peppers at all. The daily specials are great - especially the portabello mushroom meatloaf - best meatloaf anywhere! We have brought family and friends from across the country and everyone is happy to come back here when in town. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly and competent and you see the same faces every time we come. read more
