I was really excited to try Bravo on for my birthday but wound up leaving empty cupped. To start off, I was standing at the counter for 20 minutes when my husband and I were the only customers in the store. When finally asked if I needed help... I responded that I was interested in seeing their white selection in my size. They lady replied rudely that they didn't carry white and went about her business. -Not that I need to defend my preference for white but beige creeps me out... I feel like I'm wearing another layer of skin. More customers started to come in and the lady went out of her way to fawn over the newcomers while ignoring us completely... until eventually we left. I thought the both of us were dressed nicely enough and we were ready to spend over $500 on new bras but the staff clearly didn't want anything to do with us. This is the first time I've ever officially complained about service so it's not like I'm a difficult customer. I won't be back anytime soon... I guess the girls will have to wait awhile for a better fit. read more

Buyer beware! I was measured for and brought a bra at this store. I wore the bra and it did not fit. I called the store (this was two days after I purchased the bra, well within the 16-30 day return policy) to return the bra, was directed to bring it back to the store, which I did. However, I was told the bra could not be returned because the owner was not in. Next, I called, and the owner was again not in. I left a message for the owner to call me and never received a call. I called again and was told to come in to the store, where I was remeasured for the right fit, only to be told that only the owner could order the new size bra, and but again the owner was not in, and never called me to order the bra. A week passed and I called the store again. The time I was told to come in because they had a bra that would fit me. I went to the store and to my surprise was told that I would have to purchase the new bra, instead of being able to exchange it for the bra that was not the right fit (the one the store improperly measured). I sent an email in protest and have never heard back from the store. I still have a $65 bra I cannot wear, because the staff's inaccuracies. read more

First and foremost, if you have an inkling that your bra is the wrong size (rides up, straps fall, stretches out fast, pokes your armpit), don't ignore it! VS will measure you in a way that ensures that you fit into something in their small selection, but that size might not be correct. To get a true size and proper fit, go to Bravo. I was initially put off by some of the reviews, but I've always had good service. (I've visited about 5 times.) It's true that they get very busy at times and so it is difficult to fit people in without an appointment. And sometimes I feel a bit rushed because of the line waiting for my spot. Remember, they are providing you with more than just a room... they are providing expert advice on fit and according to your wants/needs. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because they seem to have a smaller selection of bras in my size (smaller band), and a couple of times I've left empty handed. However, I'll continue to spend my dollars at Bravo when I can. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices are comparable with other intimate stores I have shopped at (bras ranging from $55-80). These are not low quality bras that stretch out or become misshapen. They give you recommendations and csring instructions to make them last even longer. Though the don't have a enormous selection, I was able to find a few that were very comfortable and looked great under my top. Also, they can special order, though it takes a few weeks to deliver (also what I have experienced at other similar stores). I also purchased a swim suit, such a better fit compared to any other suit I have owned. Again, there wasn't a huge selection in my size, but it is also toward the end of the season. read more

I have been to Bravo, twice, and will never go back. This last experience was the worst. Purchased three bras and upon wearing them at home, none fit. There bra cups gape open on one bra--obviously the cup is too large. The second bra is so tight, I have indentations that don't go away for hours after removing. It also cuts into my breast. The third bra--wireless and for comfort, is the worst. After wearing it an hour, the band kept rolling up like a tourniquet under my breasts. I can't help but wonder if the bras were not the ones I tried on in the fitting room, as these are things I know how to check for when purchasing a bra. The woman kept saying my size wasn't available, but a close size should work. All I know, is I will never return. I have been purchasing bras at Harp's, for years, and never disappointed. Drove more than an hour to be fitted for a bra. Definitely not worth the trip. My surgeon's office recommended this store as a place to receive a professional fitting and to purchase a good fitting bra after my double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. Ammie was the person assigned to me. She brought bras with band sizes that were too small. Each one was smaller than the last. All were uncomfortable and ill fitting. She then said she had nothing for someone my size. I left the room feeling humiliated and paid my $10.00 fitting fee but could not get out of there fast enough. Really, I should have just walked out. My doctor had also given me the name of Harp's Lingerie in Birmingham so I stopped there on my way home. The salesperson there not only treated me with respect but the first bra she brought me fit perfectly. After trying on 6 or 7 bras, I ended up buying 3 bras that felt and looked great. I am overweight but see many people much heavier than I wearing bras. This doesn't seem like it should be an impossible task. Nobody knows bras or can properly fit a bra better than the owner of this store! I believe her name is Rebecca and I highly recommend her ability to find you the absolute best fitting bra ever. There is no denying how good she is. However, there are some major issues with this business that hold me back from making it my first place of choice. They are always lacking inventory. I have made purchases from them over a course of a number of years and their lack of inventory has been something noticeable in every visit. Maybe they just sell everything out so quickly? Also, staff members lack the skill set, experience, professionalism and expertise of the owner. I would not want to pay the prices at this boutique unless I was getting the assistance from the owner. I went to Bravo for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. A saleswoman greeted me right away and put me in a dressing room for a bra fitting. The bra I was wearing (like all my bras) was old and stretched out. The saleswoman measured me and then brought in several styles to try. I loved them all and each one fit so much better than the bra I had on! I've never spent more than $35 on a bra and my bras have been ugly and uncomfortable. These bras cost more but they were beautiful and comfortable. I bought 4 bras, 2 panties and a sleeveless undershirt. I was a bit surprised when I read the negative reviews. I have been here several times on my own as well as with my mom. Based on previous experience as well as today's purchase, Bravo Intimates offers great customer service. Rebecca started with a hello and how can I help you. Once I was in the fitting room and took off my shirt, she knew that I had lost weight. While the bra I was wearing said 40DD on the tag, she knew that the cup was actually a double FF. While checking out, Noralee (I hope I got the name right) looked up my profile and sure enough my previous size was a 38FF. Both ladies were friendly and Rebecca was nothing but kind and explained the bras I was trying on and let me know I was in between sizes. I often recommend Bravo Intimates when my friends are talking about getting a bra. When I find a place I like with good quality and good people, I return. I will continue to be a loyal customer. Good experience- I'm hard to fit, but they did it and had my size in stock. People keep asking if I lost weight- but it's the bra! Looks like I lost at least 10 lbs and tops fit so much better. Love the convenience of the new location. Note, it's busier than ever, so I highly recommend making an appointment. When I arrived around 10:30 on a Wednesday, there were 4 or 5 people ahead of me. I signed in and waited at least 40 min. I had a nail appointment nearby at noon, and since they say the fitting can last 45min, so I couldn't wait any longer. Before I left, I made an appointment for later that day and was seen right away when I returned. My only complaint is that I wish they would have told me when I came in that the wait would be that long and offered to make me an appointment for later that day. I think anytime a wait is 20 min or more, you should be given a heads up before you sit down. While I saw there were several people ahead of me, I had no idea how many bra-fitters were working, so I couldn't gauge how long I would have to wait. It's also nice to be given some sort of update while you wait, especially when you wait that long. I won't do a walk in visit again and that's too bad, since I'm a busy working mom- my schedule is always changing and it's hard to commit to a bra appointment. Walking in when you unexpectedly have a free hour is much easier for someone like me. I will keep coming because it's close to my house, service was fine and I have to buy my bras at a specialty shop, but I won't stop in again without an appointment. read more

I'm pregnant, so my breast size and body has changed dramatically in just a few months. I figured coming here and getting fitted was the best idea since I had no idea what size I would be. I went, and the wait to br fitted was an hour! So I waited. I finally had a woman fit me, and she picked some great bras for me, but I told her they felt tight. She told me "that's how they're supposed to fit." So I took her word and assumed she knew best. I spent nearly $150 on two bras, which is WAY more than I would ever normally spend. I went home, took the tags off, and out one of the bras on. After an hour, it was so uncomfortably tight, I had to take it off, I tried the second bra. Same thing. Went back to the store less then a week later with my receipt and tags (albeit they had been taken off), and asked to exchange them for 36 as opposed to a 34. I was told I could not, since the tags had been taken off. No exceptions. $150 down the toilet! Maybe it was my own fault for not trusting my own instincts when I tried them on. I lost some weight. I triedr buying bras in different sizes and different manufacturers. No matter what I tried, they all hurt. Bravo was recommended to me by a friend. Why not try it (regardless of cost)? As has been reported in other reviews, the woman who did the fitting was rude. When I told her the bras hurt and that the size she brought to me to try on were too small, she responded by telling me that she's the expert. If I wanted a good fit, I MUST do as she says. So, I did (for $100). I'm wearing it as this moment. The bra is sticking into my ribs. The pain is awful. So, the 'expert' doesn't know what she's talking about. If I could, I'd bring it back. Okay. This is how this goes. The staff was okay. I am one of those women who has a small band size with an average cup (28-30 C-DD). I was sized some years ago at a Bravissimo in the UK. I had then a 28 in. under-chest measurement and I still do today. Well first this lady tried telling me I was a 32 band. Um seriously? Most 30 bands are too big on me and I end up spending half of my day pulling down the back of my bra. This is a case of a place still using the "add 4-5 in" technique which totally needs to be left in the past because it doesn't work. Well she relented without too much as I guess the surprise in my voice was quite apparent and got some 30s for me to try... 3 of them. That's all and all of the bras had padded/contour/molded cups. Nothing that was non padded. I was really hoping I could find a shop to buy bras at where I didn't have to have them shipped from europe(and wait... Gods help when I need to exchange it!) but alas this was not the case. So much for having over 140 sizes. Best so far I've found around in southeastern MI is Intimacy. Not cheap but they will size you correctly and if you find a bra that you really like but the fit is slightly off they will alter it for you with no extra cost. Plus say a a year later if the bra stretches out too much they will alter it again for no extra cost and ship it directly to your home when finished. read more

Is the customer always right? Not at Bravos of Royal Oak. I, too, had a horrible experience here recently. I received a Bravo gift certificate for Christmas from my fiance. I went in on a Friday afternoon and spent the entire $100 gift certificate, plus more. I happened to drive by the store the following Monday and saw huge "SALE" and "ALL BRAS 20% OFF" signs in the window. What? I am not a wealthy woman, and being custom fitted for a bra was a big splurge for me. They are closed on Monday, so I went back in on Tuesday and asked for store credit for the difference in the sale price. I was not asking for cash back. No go. I didn't take this lightly, because it was a good deal of money to me. The store clerk was rude and interrupted me every time I tried to say something. I finally got my store credit. This story isn't over. I received a letter in the mail today telling me that I "bullied" the staff and that my store credit has been rescinded. Oh....they also asked me to please take my business somewhere else. I've worked in many boutiques and privately owned upper end retail shops. We always honored the customer's request for a credit on something they had bought if it went on sale shortly thereafter. That's called good customer service. Maybe Bravo's needs to go back to school to learn this lesson. read more

I have lost some weight so I wanted to buy some new, better fitting bras. Went to Bravo today to buy some new bras. The 20% off sale was going on, so I had to wait 30 minutes. When I finally was called back for a fitting, Amy tried to fit me with any size bra that she thought could possibly fit. It was obvious that she didn't have any more bras my size. She tried to fit me with bras from 30 to 34 and various cup sizes. And Amy would bring in one bra at a time and say "here try this on, I'll see what else I can find." I am used to being "fit" for bras, not trying them on by myself. Isn't that what you promote for your "fitting" service??? It was very insulting. Nothing really fit, but she was trying to make a sale. She told me that if I lose more weight the bras will probably fit. Why would I want a bra that doesn't fit? Better question, why was Amy trying to sell me something that didn't fit? When I told her I wasn't interested in any bad fitting bras, she scolded me and suggested that I try "pre-ordering" next time. The whole situation was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. Do yourself a favor, head a couple miles north to Harp's Lingerie. They are certainly more professional and knowledgeable. I DID! They had exactly what I needed, no waiting! I had a mixed experience at Bra-vo when I was visiting home last fall. They are definitely the best place around for a wide variety of selection and quality. They also were the first place to correctly figure my bra size (32G!) and I went home with two bra's that I love. I must say however that the staff was a little snobby, they scoffed at me for wanting a bra that would give me some cleavage "they don't make them" - "you'll fall out" they told me. They also tried to sell me into a sports bra, (that was not comfortable and did support me) - snide comments here too. Anyway, if you live in the area and need a fitting or a bra right away, they are great especially if you are an unusual size. However if you're big busted girl like me and if you know what you like already I recommend biggerbras.com, they are much cheaper and they have push up bras! read more

I'm done with this place! Yes, they know how to fit you and the bras are wonderful, but I'm going to get mine on line and avoid the weird, rude interactions. Either the owner has Aspergers or simply no social skills, but either way I won't go back. Today was my third visit and she never seems happy. If she would have simply checked on me after I came out of the dressing room I might have considered buying one of the bras, but she walked by and ignored me--- that was the icing on the cake after some earlier remarks she had made. If you shop here, make sure you are completely sure that you will not want to return the items. You cannot return items for a refund, exchange only on certain items (some are final sale). I was ripped off twice by this place. The bra that I was convinced that I looked good in my dress was almost see through and was too big (yes I was measured) and the shapewear that I was convinced that I needed, I did not need. I was not able to return the shapewear (out $60 bucks) and the bras ($60) could not be refunded, just exchanged. I did not want anything else, but had no choice but to exchange it for something else. The service at Bra-vo was terrible for me. The owner, Rebecca, was the one who "helped" me. When she measured me, she added 4 inches to the underbust measurement. This resulted in trying on several bras that were too large in the band and too small in the cup. I pointed out all the fit issues that kept presenting themselves in these ill-fitting bras. She was absolutely insisted that I could not wear a 36G bra. Finally, after trying on no less than 20 ill fitting bras, after showing me a measurement of a 33 inch underbust, I asked her to humor me and bring me a 36G. She admitted that this bra fit me the best. She brought me one more 36G bra and then asked me to leave by saying I could leave the bras I didn't want. During the course of our interactions she would not listen at all to me, even after pointing out several fit issues with the bras she was giving me, and kept telling me I was just wrong, she had 19 years of experience and there was "no way" I was a G. And low and behold, a 36G fit very nicely. She wouldn't let me try on 34GG bras for some reason. My friend had another fitter who used the same inane sizing system. However, when my friend pointed out all the size issues that fitter listened to her and brought her smaller bands and larger cups. She walked out with a bra that fit. I didn't. If you look at the reviews this place is really hit or miss. They have a very strict exchange policy. I was absolutely desperate for a nude bra to wear to work, nothing I have fits. The ONLY reason I didn't purchase a bra was because the owner was too stubborn to bring me bras in a more appropriate size and she was blatantly rude to me. My friend overheard her speak to me in the next fitting room and confirmed that the woman was just rude. I would not shop here. read more

After driving by Bravo for the last several years, my BFF and I finally went in. She is getting married and we both needed undergarments for our dresses. Rebecca took excellent care of us. I traveled a distance to Royal Oak on the recommendation of a friend. I was very disappointed. I was glad to finally have a bra I thought would fit, lift and be comfortable. I am miserable. I have bruises on my ribs because the band is to tight. I am not a lace kind of girl and that seems to be the only style they had to fit me. The staff was very busy and I had to wait between phone calls to be assess for correct fit. I have no problem paying for quality which they do seem to offer but I do expect with that quality to come service and comfort. read more

This was my first time at Bravo , but my third time at a lingerie shop specializing in fitting bras in the past month. Bravo has the other two beat hands down!!!!! I took my daughter to one in Grand Rapids which was just ok, went to one in Howell which was quite lacking in customer service. At Bravo, they measure you over your bra, bring you a bra, and let you change in private. Yet the minute you need them they are there to bring another color, style, size, etc. they are quite friendly without being pushy or intrusive. They seemed to have a great selection from what I could see with a wide variety of sizes. I would never be able to find the size I discovered I actually am in a regular store. I look 10 pounds thinner in my new bra, and my bra cost $20.00 LESS than the one my daughter bought in Howell. And it's cuter! I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Went to the shop ona Tuesday arrived at 5:40 the lady came to e door I ask if she could let's us I even thou they closed at 5:30. She said no we closed at 5:30 and we will be here till 6:30 as it was. I said please just need a one bra. She closed the door. As we sat outside the door another lady went to the door the same woman came to the door and she answered closed the door, then came back and let her in! First and foremost, my daughter and I, love our bras we purchased, the customer service is amazing along with the excellent bra fitting service we received. I think EVERY woman should have a professional fitting at Bravo. The representatives concentrate on what fit and works for you instead of sizes. Department stores are not equipped and do not provide the service or options that were available at Bravo. The downside is I wear a 36D or 36 DD and my daughter wears a 38 C and I think they specialize in large, hard to find sizes therefore on two occasions they did not have the bras we were looking for in our sizes. Nevertheless, bravo has led us in the right direction. We will always patronize and refer friends and family to this amazing store. read more
