Like many people, before going to this store, I checked the Yelp! reviews first. I'm so glad I didn't listen to them, because I've had nothing but a good experience with Bra-Vo Intimates! I'm a busty lady already (DD), and when I got pregnant, my chest grew so large I didn't even know what the sizes were anymore. I have problems finding my bra size at most other stores to begin with, and now with these new astonomical proportions, forget about it. I had to go specialty. My first experience was a positive one. The staff was very knowledgable and helpful, and I walked out with two bras that actually fit. They advised me to return a few months later to get fitted for a nursing bra, which I did. I had another great experience, even though my bras needed to be ordered. I ended up having my baby before my order arrived in the store. In the excitement of having a baby at the house, I kept forgetting to call and inquire about my order. However, the staff came through once again and mailed my order to my house when it arrived so I didn't have to go out in December with a newborn. (Note: This is without me even having to ask or request a shipment...they just took it upon themselves and did it.) I will definitely be back in the future, and would encourage others to use this shop. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is sometimes a long wait to see a consultant, even with an appointment. I still don't mind waiting, because they take their time and treat each customer like they are the only one, but just a heads up if you have other plans to get to. And yes, the bras are expensive, but no more than you'd pay at other lingerie stores. It's worth the cost. read more

The staff provides COVID safe experience. However, the fitter was more interested in following her fitting protocol than in listening to what a "young" older woman was looking for in a comfortable fitting bra. Older people are not interested in so much of a "proper fit" but more interested in something that they can wear without pain. Older individuals have more sensitive bodies. Buyer beware. They won't give you a refund. I bought a bra 3 days ago and tried to return it unworn in bag, in original tissue and with receipt. My experiences here have all been great. I've only been here on Saturdays when it can get busy so pack your patience because this is the best place to find bras for the well endowed. I love the green program they have implemented. If you decline to take a shopping bag when purchasing, you earn credits toward a discount on a future purchase. Their computer system automatically tracks your purchases toward the discount so you do not have to carry around a punch card. Their customer service is wonderful. What a treat! Bravo had a great selection and a really good range of prices for me to choose from. I learned a lot about how bras are supposed to fit but also the real size that I am supposed to be wearing (bye bye D's I learned that I am actually a DD). I have not been disappointed with my shopping experiences at Bravo. I learned about Bravo listening to them on the Frankie Darcell show on the radio. It took awhile to finally go check them out but I did. On my first visit I was put off by the cost of the bras. The fitting was on spot but that particular day they didn't have bras in stock that fit. I did, however, purchase a sports bra. Costly, but effective. I didn't go back for some time. Not because of them, per se, but I was not of the frame of mind to spend that kind of money on underwear. So I spent the next several years wearing boring bras with a decent fit from JCPenney. Maybe it was the weight of being a caregiver for my terminally ill husband and I needed to feel good for me again, but I decided that I deserved better than black, white, and beige as the only color options for my bras. I found my way back to Bravo, at their current location on Woodward, and have been going ever since. My underwear drawer is filling with the most colorful, cute, and supportive bras that I've had in a long time. Money well spent! I never make appointments. Walk-ins totally acceptable. Having a profile with them, I can easily go in to repurchase styles that I've already been fitted for because, let's be honest, sometimes you just want to buy and go. My last two visits I have been unsuccessful with getting a strapless bra that fits me but they advised me that stock comes in daily so I just need to get there more often to get what I need. I have also purchased a swimsuit from them that provides great support. Only disadvantage is that the swimsuit styles are pretty similar so when I browsed for another suit, they seemed too similar to what I already had. But I definitely recommend checking them out. read more

She was very patient as I tried on at least a dozen bras. I ended up buying three with matching panties. This store really knows how to fit you and it is not one bit intimidating. Very disappointed by my recent experience with this store. I am a new breast cancer survivor, and am having difficulty finding bras that fit since my surgery, a double mastectomy with reconstruction at 33 years old. I specifically went to a specialty bra store because I thought they would be sensitive to my situation, and would be supportive and understanding of how difficult shopping for new bras would be for me. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I felt rushed, and unsupported throughout the appointment, and I felt certain comments the fitters made insensitive and rude. When I verbalized I felt they were being insensitive, the owner became frustrated with me, and said "I am frustrated with you, because I feel like you are fighting me." They did have a good selection of merchandise, and I'm sure had my situation been different, the appointment would have gone fine. However, I do not recommend this store to anyone with special circumstances, such as being a recent cancer survivor, because this stores sensitivity is lacking. In the end, I decided to return 3/4 bras that I purchased. read more

Judgement Free Zone! Expert Bra Fitters! Excellent customer service! Ladies, if you haven't been fitted for your bras, you are probably wearing the wrong bra! The wonderful bra fitters at Bravo Intimates do not pass judgement on shape, size, weight etc. They just want to get you into a great fitting bra! I've been their customer for many years, and they always do a great job, and never make me feel self conscious about my body! I went in today looking for a two piece bathing suit. Based on the size I THOUGHT I was, I didn't see much on the floor. However, Courtney did a wonderful job of fitting me (turns out, many bathing suits are sized differently) and I left with a great new suit for the summer! Their new location on Woodward is easy to get to, has free parking, and more fitting rooms. I buy all my bras there, and will continue to do so in the future! read more

This review is long (years) overdue. I must say I was a little disappointed. I went there with high hopes because of the reviews, but it didn't work for me. I was greeted when I came in, so that's a plus. I didn't have to wait long for assistance (another plus). The fitting was another story. She was absolutely appalled at the bra I was wearing. I get it, that's why I'm here, but don't be obnoxious about it. And please don't come into the fitting room holding your baby. I don't need an audience. So, on to the bras. Some of them fit so horribly that it was uncomfortable to put my arms down at my sides. After so many bras, she referred to me as her 'challenge.' Gee--that's encouraging. I could give this place 3 stars, based on the customer service I overheard (jealously!) other women getting, but I'll stick with my own experience. I've been fitted for bras many times at other places, such as Nordstrom, and have a good understanding of fit, brands, and options. I understand that everyone has there own approach, but the salesperson I had was just "off." She told me one bra was too small and brought it in a larger cup size. I demonstrated that I didn't fill the larger cup and could put my whole hand in the gap, but she told me this kind of fit was "personal preference." When she left, I put on the smaller one again, which had felt and looked fine to me in the first place. She came back in and told me what a great fit it was, really perfect! I didn't bother to mention it was the one she'd just rejected. She honestly seemed busy and totally distracted. Usually bra fitters make an effort to help you put on and close the bra so you can efficiently try several on. She did this a few times, then left me to do it on my own. Even when she came in and was standing right there, she didn't help me with it. I asked her directly once, and she said "I want to see if you can do it on your own." What?!?! I put on a bra every day, of course I can do it on my own!! The point of a bra fitting is doing it quickly and having excellent, attentive help with all the details. I felt like she was covering for not noticing I needed help. She just seemed scattered and only half there in helping me evaluate the bras, like she just wanted the sale done. I get that some days at any job are like that. But this was not a good experience for me. I mentioned I often get a good fit with Chantelle, but she didn't bring me anything in Chantelle. I'm open to anything, but that was a little odd. The last straw was that she put me in a bra that felt fine in the cup, but the straps were loose. (Actually most of the straps were loose, and she wouldn't tighten them for me.) I asked a few times, then gave up. Her reason was that you don't want the bra to lift from the straps. Well, obviously - and you also don't want loose straps falling off your shoulders, which these were. I just gave up and made a mental note to adjust them at home. When I got home, I realized the straps were adjusted as close to the band as they could go. I literally couldn't make them shorter. So now I have to pull the band down on my back to make sure the straps don't fall off my shoulders. She correctly mentioned that your bra band should always be horizontal in order to lift properly... But then sold me a bra that doesn't do that. All in all, I might go back and be proactive about getting a good salesperson. As I said, I overheard some attentive and caring comments from the dressing rooms next door. I mean this as constructive criticism and hope others receive it that way, including the staff, who generally seem well intentioned. But I will probably try Harp's or Busted, or go back to tried and true Nordstrom, which carries many of the same brands and has given me many good, attentive fittings over the years. Update on 3/4 after reading response from Bravo: I wish this establishment the best, but I'm downgrading my experience to one star after reading the response offered. I'm sorry to be so misunderstood, and to be blamed for the poor service I received. read more

I was referred to Bravo Intimates by The Wedding Shoppe in Berkley as I'm getting married in January and am starting my fittings this month. I went on their website the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (Nov 24th), and requested an evening appointment for that same day. They emailed me back and said "they could schedule me a fitting for 2:00pm"(I work till 5:00 on Tues out in Macomb), "or I could walk in at anytime that day". Well, I took them at their word, and immediately rushed after work to make it to Bravo. I got there around 5:25 and they were closed. I realize yes, I was very close to the time that they closed, but I work everyday, and don't get out of work till 7:00pm on Thursdays (which is their only late night, and only on the first Thursday of the month, I believe). I was definitely a little frustrated as I drove 40 min from work, only to drive another 30 min home, and all for nothing. On this past Monday ("Cyber Mon", Nov 30), I went on their website again to try to get another bra fitting, (and I needed to get in this week, due to my first wedding dress fitting being next Tues, Dec 8). I saw that they had a deal where you get a "gift card", $70 for $100 worth of product, so I bought it. They were mailing the gift cards out, and on Wednesday (Dec 2), I called to schedule an appointment for Friday, since I had the day off. I talked to Lou, and said that I need a fitting for my wedding undergarments, and also asked about what I would do if I still hadn't received the "gift card" in the mail by Friday. Lou assured me it would be to me by Thursday and made me an appointment for 10:30am on Friday (Dec 4). On Friday, my "gift card" still hadn't come, but I didn't feel worried as I had personally spoken with Lou over the phone. When I got to Bravo, I went in, and wasn't sure what to do. They told me to sign in and they would be right with me. I had a lady with dark hair help me, and she measured and fitted me and found everything I needed. Very helpful! There was also another lady with blonde hair who I talked to, who was very kind as well. So far, great experience with Bravo's employees! I went to purchase my things, which was over $250 worth of merchandise, and Lou was at the register. I reminded her that I had talked to her earlier in the week, and how I hadn't received my "gift card" yet. (I'm sure you all are wondering by I keep putting "gift card" in quotes, and I'll tell you why in a bit.) She wasn't sure what to do, but was able to look me up in a handwritten binder, full of the only 250 names that were able to buy the "gift card" on cyber Monday. She told me she wanted to wait for a manager for assistance, but she was busy at that very moment, so Lou started helping the next customer. Well, not a few minutes later, in comes who I correctly assume is the store owner, walking in, her (very adorable) puppy by her feet, bursting in the door and roaming the store. Lou asks Rebecca, the store owner to come help me. I explain my situation again to Rebecca, stating I had not received my "gift card". She told me there was nothing she could do for me, except put my things on hold, and have me come back with this "gift card". I told her I was more than willing to bring in the "gift card" at a later date, if she just gave me the $100 off right now (I'm sure they are worried about me trying to get 2 discounts). She told me she could not do that and she physically needed this "gift card" in her hand. I politely explain now, that I had personally talked to Lou earlier in the week, because I had thought this may have been an issue, but that Lou had assured me I would be fine and scheduled me purposefully on Friday. Rebecca told me that they had trouble authorizing the credit cards, and that the "gift cards" were mailed later than they had expected. I explained, "This is your store's mistake, and you need to make it right." Not only did Lou schedule me for Friday, saying I'd be fine, but the store admitted to sending out the "gift cards" late. Rebecca loudly said that it was not the stores mistake, as if to embarrass me, and said there was absolutely nothing she could do unless she had this "gift card" in her hand. I had my things placed on hold and left the store in complete disbelief! What poor customer service, and coming straight from the store owner herself! Well, I drive the 30+ min back to my house, yet again with nothing in my hand. Low and behold, the "gift card" had just been delivered. Not only was it just a piece of paper, with my handwritten name on it, there was no UPC or anything to scan on it! Yesterday, I made the 40 min drive back to Royal Oak to pick up my things on hold. The nice blonde that I had spoken with was at the register. All she does is cross my name off of that handwritten binder they had looked me up in the day previous! Are you kidding me!? I will never again spend any money to support the owner of this company, and will go to Harp's in Birmingham next time. read more

I had a great time when I went here the first time. It turns out I was totally wearing the wrong bras. I bought two new ones and liked them so much, I couldn't stand wearing the old ones anymore. So I went back and ordered 2 more. They charged me up front and I'm still waiting for the bras to come in! I understand we had the holidays but as of right now, it's been two months of waiting (1.5 given the holidays.) So if they have your bra in stock - great place to get them (if you can afford them). I brought a bra from this shop and was very disappointed. These people do not stand by there brand or there commitment to the customer. I only put this bra on one time the snaps broke and I brought it back. The manager said it had been worn of course it had been but not like she describe. She refused to give a refund or offer a discount toward a new bra. I was very disappointed because my first time became my last. Lady's I can't tell you not to buy here you will have to learn on your own but I will say I will be takeing my business some where else to a store where I am appreciated and respected, and so will my family. I can not do business with a store that does not stand by there product and value all there customers. First impression are important I guess not to this store!!!!!!!! So now my first impression of this store is now my last. Take your business elsewhere you will be happy you did I can guarantee and this is a fact. The bras here are overpriced. I wish they had a few cheaper options. If you go into BraVo, check out the prices before you schedule a fitting. Make sure you can afford a bra that could cost up to $100. I was not satisfied with the fitting, but that is mostly because of me. I didn't ask enough questions. Walked in and waited over 30 minutes to try on a swimsuit. Called ahead and made an appointment in advance and I've been waiting 20minutes. Expressed to them over the phone I was with a toddler so the appointment was necessary since last time I waited so long it was a disaster. My recommendation is if you value your time at all, go elsewhere. Bathing suit wise, they had very limited sizes when it came to bottoms. I've been wanting to go to Bra~vo for years, but silly me I kept putting it off. Finally I made an appointment to have a REAL fitting. I went in tired, in pain from a terrible headache, and emotionally drained after a couple horrible weeks of scary ups and downs. Standing in front of a stranger having them measure your chest isn't comfortable, and I really wasn't up for it. I worked with Ammie, who was wonderful. Her professional attitude, measuring and making it routine (not strange) and her picking out the perfect bras for me without my having to pour through the many options they had, was exactly what I needed. If you are someone who likes to shop, they have tons of undergarments to peruse. That just isn't me. I enjoyed having her make choices that I didn't even know I wanted or would have chosen for myself. I actually wore one of the bras out of the store. Five minutes after putting it on my headache, back and neck pain were gone. The bra was so comfortable I started to feel relaxed. I also learned the proper bra selection protocol and bra maintenance which I will now incorporate. Anyone needing a bra (or any type of intimate apparel) needs to shop here. The prices are the same as if you went to any other place to purchase a well made undergarment (I'm not talking Target or Walmart quality bras), and you get personal service with a large selection for any size & body type. As a J cup, very happy to have myself be properly measured. I cannot remember her name now, but she did a great job measuring me and picking out bras, and giving me tips that I had not known before. She told me when a bra didn't work or look right, and I was in near tears of happiness to walk out of there with a bra that provided me proper coverage. I spent years wearing bras that were too small or with no support because I felt that was my only option. It feels strange to be able to lay on my side or bend down without spilling partly out of my bra for two days now. My large and in charge girls go in, and stay in. So thank you very much, Bravo! Only slight downfall was the lack of privacy. I'd be left to try on a few bras and she would just burst through with no warning, and almost me topless to the guy delivering delivering lunch (not intentionally , but still). I have been to Bravo several times over the past 15 years. The first time I went, I had a wonderful experience. But over the past year or two, I am finding that the sales staff are no longer very personable. Going there to simply shop for a bra in the size I already know I need is frowned upon, but the wait time for a fitting is ridiculous, especially if you work typical Monday-Friday 9-5 type hours. Their selection is extremely limited on the sales floor. If I wore a more average bra size, I would never bother setting foot in this store. The only advantage the store used to have is that they carry sizes larger than a DD, but that advantage is useless with their limited selection. After my last visit, I've decided to risk buying online from here on out. read more

I rarely post reviews unless I receive truly exceptional service and at Bravo, I did! I was apprehensive (to say the least) about shopping for a long line bra to wear under my wedding dress, so after waiting until basically the last minute before my first fitting, I went to Bravo based on the positive reviews. I shouldn't have been worried at all! I didn't have an appointment, but I was shown to a dressing room after a short wait. My salesperson was extremely personable, knowledgeable, helpful and sensitive to my concerns. Not only did she properly fit me for my bridal lingerie, but she also helped me find new properly fitting bras for everyday wear. I was so encouraged by how positive my visit was and excited by the huge array or sizes available. Thank you, Bravo, I will definitely be back and you have my strong recommendation.
