My son has got me lasagna from there a few times. The lasagna is OK comes with one slice of bread that's has been brushed with olive oil. I don't eat it! It comes with a little hamburger container, full of lettuce with one piece of cucumber in it! nNo crackers, no tomato, no dressing, nothing. Well, the last two times he's got it I get to maybe what I do is cut the lasagna like four pieces when I get to the third piece it taste like the or tomatoes in it are spoiled, anyway it hasn't been good the last two times and you can't make me believe that hamburger box full of lettuce and one little slice of cucumber is a salad. One of my favorite restaurants in town for over 15 years! My absolute favorite is the pepper steak sub, which I highly recommend. The House Special Pizza is my 2nd favorite if I shall ever switch up. I love the sausage. No wait at 11 am and not bad to eat alone if you're not in a crowd. Only once I've had an inconsistency in my sub. Owner was hard to reach but later he apologized and made things better in his own way. He has shown more compassion for customers when mistakes happen not just regulars he's seen over the years. This is a hidden gem! We found it while traveling from Florida to Va. and looking for a decent dinner. Located in a small shopping center, the food, service and atmosphere were exceptional! Their food should get a 4 to 5 star most of the time because it is really good if prepared right but their customer service is lacking at best because sometimes they can be downright rude. I remember getting a sub years before the pre-Covid price hikes and there was so much turkey on it that I actually took some off before I ate it. During Covid they raised their prices, started putting way less meat on the subs and they replaced the French fries (which were included with a small sub) with a tiny bag of potato chips but they kept the price the same! Now the subs are even more expensive, the meats are still lacking, you get extra lettuce to fill the roll and you still get chips and no fries with a small sub. Their Greek sauce is the best part of every sub but the amount they put on your sub is never predictable and is dependent on who is making the sub. You either take your chance that it will have enough sauce or you ask for extra and they usually put way too much. Today my sub hardly had any sauce at all and when I went back in to ask... they said I could buy a small condiment size cup for $1.50 plus tax. Knowing that without the sauce... it would be very bland so I paid the $1.61! I ordered a large sub which comes without chips or fries and I paid $12.57 plus the $1.61 extra for what should have come on the sub in the first place. I am all about supporting small businesses but sometimes they just can't help but to run customers off. read more

Hands down has the best Turkey Club in town! I'm not a fan of tomatoes so I asked to remove them and added banana peppers, chefs kiss. Presentation is great and the sandwich tastes so fresh and its filling. 10/10 recommend. Called it in and it was ready within 10 minutes. read more

Four stars? I'd give them five if I had personally been here but four will have to do based on what I have experienced so far. I currently reside in Japan, and was looking for a good pizza place for my sister and brother-in-law to enjoy a slice and have a beer together as a little gift. First thing I did was make a phone call to figure out what their menu pricing is and a very friendly woman answered the phone and told me what specials they have, about how much pizza cost on average, and told me about their beer options. Even from another country she provided all of the information and took care of my needs, all the while, was extremely friendly. All the information I was given matched up with exactly what I was looking for and more, since this place is much nicer on the inside than your average pizza place. My sister and brother-in-law went there last night for dinner and had a fantastic time together. They took photos of the food and beer to share their excitement and cannot stop raving about how delicious everything was. I cannot thank Bravo Pleasant Pizza enough for their excellent service and for providing exactly what I was hoping for, for my family. read more

Mexican sub is my go to. I always try to eat here when I get to visit family from out of state.

Pepper steak still tasty yet sometimes overcooked. Wish fries still came with it instead of chips. I also really like the Greek salad but you don't get much feta cheese anymore. And maybe 2 tomatoes and 1 slice of cucumber. He's gotten real skimpy on the vegetables now. Plenty of lettuce though. Great for rabbits not so much for a person. Salad use to come with peppers too. If you've never ate here you wouldn't know how skimpy they've got with their dishes but with cost rising for everything I suppose paying for a tomato or extra Greek dressing isn't uncommon. This place use to have good food many years ago but now everytime I go the food is terrible so I decided this would be my last trip. a small pepper steak sub with chips (fries aren't an option) is $10.65. The sandwich was so beat up and dry that I didn't even eat half of my "meal". The spaghetti is $11.99 and it's brown! The presentation just looks so bad and it taste and smells even worse! The sausage was so burnt and tough it was all together just terrible. The environment itself was also very chaotic. I don't recommend this place to anyone at all. Ok....so I'm not from this state but I work close by. Been tired of the old same places week by week and someone recommended that I come here. And so I did. I read the reviews and they says try the subs but I wanted pasta so I tried the spaghetti with meatballs. The sauce was brown and the meatballs were soft. Did it taste good? Not the best spaghetti I've ever had. It didn't taste like spaghetti. It came with a salad doused in dressing. Salad consisted of lettuce and two cucumbers. So that was the first night. The next day I decided to try the sub to give this place a fair review. The small sub came with fries. I got the pepper steak all the way. Next time I will get it without the mustard. It was bland. The bread is good though. It's soft but crunchy and it wasn't chewy. The decor is nice.l and old school. People are nice. Ample parking but I didn't love the food. read more

I love the subs but the other stuff that the owner purchases from the freezer section at Walmart and tries to pass it off as his lasagna recipe is atrocious. The restaurant has been closed to the public since the beginning of the Covid outbreak so is it possible that you could actually dust all of that clutter that you have hanging over the tables? Also refills should not require the refinancing of one's home. The up charges at this restaurant are worse than an airline. read more

It is an odd location for a good restaurant so don't be thrown by the outside of this place. It was decently busy while I was there which is always a good indicator that the menu has great options. My husband ordered food from pleasant pizza last night. Two hoggies and a medium meat pizza. When he arrived home he realized that the pizza was actually a supreme pizza, which no one eats here. He called back to Pleasant Pizza and informed a very nice guy of the issue. This guy said no problem, "call ahead tomorrow and I will make sure a replacement is ready for you." My husband calls back today and ask for the guy he talked to (because he said he would be working) and the person gave the phone to the older gentleman there, whom I have always assumed was the owner. My husband explained the issue and this man told him, "that it wasn't his fault, no pizza." Thomas pressed and "he said you can have a small only, come get it." When my husband arrived, the same man told him, "to take it a just go." His attitude was completely uncalled for! I know this man has not built a business such as this with a nasty attitude like that. So disappointing. We love the food there and order weekly, but this has certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. I used to work down the street from this restaurant since 1995 until 2000. I ate there average 3 times a week for 5 years, until I was transferred to Raleigh. I loved this restaurant so much I would make the 2 hour trek from Raleigh to Lumberton just to get a large pepper steak sub with extra cheese and a side of fries...the last time I got take out from there I had to pull over in a parking lot right before I got to I-95 just to take a bite of my sandwich! I want to first say that I was "pleasantly" shocked by this place. Aside of the odd decor, it was nice to see a flock of women (no men working that I could see) run this restaurant and actually do it well. As a snobby pizza devourer from the northeast (10 pizzerias in a square mile in my town alone), I immediately thought I would get a microwave pizza equivalent since the pizza dough was pre-made and sauced...I would probably say that they would do better if they make the pizza to order. Despite that fact the pizza was actually still quite good. Not 4 star quality by 3 is what I would consider still pretty solid. Great work to the ladies here and for pumping out as much food as they did since the place was busy. Terrible pizza...awful service. The pizza was dripping wet. The owner came over and asked what's wrong...told him the pizza was too sloppy to eat. He said that's the way we make it. I have been there one other time and the food was so so but went back with a couple of friends who invited me.
