BBQ and fishing...gotta love it! I knew when I walked into Brazen Que I was going to like this place...inscribed on the wall was the phrase made famous by a great Pitmaster and friend...John Brotherton "Show up late...lose weight". At the cutting board I met Brock who made a great first impression for this business. Friendly, welcoming, and a solid cutter...he gave me a sample of the brisket and I was SOLD! I went with brisket, jalapeño sausage (note this is a mild version), turkey with Mac & Cheese and Mexican Street Corn as sides. The brisket is tender, moist, great bark, and solid flavor...this would give the BBQ joints in TX a run for their money! Loved the turkey and found out they use honey on it too; the combination of a peppery bark and the honey was a great match. This would be a treat of a bird for the holiday table. The sausage may lack kick BUT not flavor, nice texture, good cheddar and jalapeño flavors. The sides are solid, and you can't go wrong with either one. The Banana Pudding is deeeeelicious! I also got to meet Nick (owner and pitmaster) who had me try their bratwurst sausage...it is impressive. It can be difficult getting the sausage texture right and these were spot-on. Brock is their sausage chef and on the agenda for next month...think Southwestern egg roll flavors. Enjoyed talking BBQ with Nick and Brock...they are both very knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. While this may be a 90-minute hike for me, the food and staff make it well worth the drive. I'll be back in June to try some of Brock's newest sausage creation! P.S. There is a good size pond behind the restaurant (Dillon Pond) and I always have fishing gear in my SUV...so you can have a great meal AND wet a line!!!

Wow, the food was incredible. Hands down the best BBQ sauce I had ever had in my life. I WANT THE RECIPE! Same goes for the street corn! Best BBQ place I have been to. Owner was walking around talking to the customers. Very cool experience! I won't be able to stop thinking about the BBQ sauce, brisket, and street corn until the next time I come.

Freshness, Subtle Flavors, Complex Textures and a bright mellow mood to abide in. Yeah, that's barbecue! It takes great quantities of time and effort to produce food of good quality. This establishment is motivated to ply their time and effort into producing prime barbecue. However, they are never too busy or distracted to not only bless you with a rudimentary smile and hello but they will engage with you like you are people who matter. I haven't had the fortune to try their Brisket as of yet but I hear that it is so delicious that it sells out within hours. I must procure myself some of this elusive delight...

If you want good Texas barbecue, go to Livingston, Tennessee. Brazen Que is putting out serious Central Texas BBQ right in the heart of Tennessee. The brisket has perfect bark, a deep smoke ring, and melts in your mouth. The Dino rib? Massive, juicy, and ridiculously flavorful--worth the trip alone. The baked beans are rich and smoky, not just a throwaway side. Everything's made with care, and the people running it are as solid as the food. Friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they're doing. Drive two hours or four, it's Texas BBQ done right!

We ate at this restaurant today and I have to say it is absolutely one of the best BBQ restaurants I've ever eaten at. There was 6 of us and every single person said it was the best. Hats off to the chef and staff, award winning food in my opinion

Whole hogeye and a beef rib with baked beans, street corn, and jalapeño cheese grits.

Husband wanted to try it out for his birthday. Everything we had was delicious. Folks behind the counter were so nice and helpful. Small seating area inside but it was pretty full. The turkey and the apple cider sausage (flavor of the month) were my favorite meats and the street corn and jalapeño cheese grits were really good too. Pickled onions and pickles were very good. Hubby also tried the beef rib. We shared and couldn't finish it all.

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Meat and homemade sides had amazing (literally bold) flavor ! My husband and I are so sad we live 4 hours away and this can't been a weekly place to eat at . And don't even get me started on how delicious their banana pudding !!
